This blog will discuss the case of severe anxiety and nervousness with possible ways to manage/cure the health issues using medical astrology. Here is the birth chart of the native…
The first house represents the deepest constitution of the native. Here in the first house itself, the mercury (nervous system) is very strongly combusted by Sun (representing electricity or excitatory neurotransmitters running through the nervous system i.e. Sadhak Pitta in Ayurveda) signified by just three degrees difference between both. This shows that when the native was conceived, the nervous system was overstimulated which happens when there is over stimulating, very loud and tensed atmosphere at native’s home especially between parents leading to excess electricity flowing in the nervous system of the child too. The blessing in disguise here is that the Sun in first house provides intelligence to the native.
In such cases, since the nervous system is literally fried (like short circuiting electrical cables due to excess electricity passing through them), the native feels over stressed, nervous, tensed and anxious as even normal stimulation makes their nervous system overreact. Mars in the fourth house in its own zodiac, is further adding fury to this as Sun alone will not increase the speed of electricity unless it is accompanied by Mars which provides strength and speed to electricity (Mars is like Knight to the King which is Sun in Astrology).
*** Excess electricity in nervous system (body), over increases metabolic rate making the native physically weak apart from issues like nervousness and anxiety. Thus, it increases hollowness in the body due to heat. Hollowness is Vata in Ayurvedic terms and Pitta is heat. Hence the native becomes overly high on Vata Pitta (VP).
Now, fourth house represents mother. So if the native needs to get ok, then the native’s mother needs to calm down her excess Pitta (Mars) by getting rid of foods and drinks that increase Mars (speed of electricity) which are stimulants like red and green chilies, tea, coffee etc. In this case, mother’s excess Mars will keep fueling native’s high Vata Pitta making the native sicker.
Tenth house represents father. The lord of tenth house i.e. Venus (luxuries) is posted in 12th house with Rahu (desires) which shows that the father of the native was desirous of luxuries but was struggling with it or had to make extra efforts to get it. This is because 12th house is 3rd from 10th house and 3rd house represents struggle and efforts. Venus in 12th house with Rahu can denote alcohol as alcohol provides temporary liberation from excess Pitta generated from fourth house with direct aspect on 10th house (12th house represents liberation/moksha even if temporary). Since 4th and 10th directly aspect each other, it shows that there will be a loop created between high Pitta (loud and aggressive) of the native’s mother and alcoholism of father i.e. one thing will lead to another and vice versa. Debilitated Saturn in the 9th house of the native represents that while father was full of Jupiter (knowledge), his Pitta (Aries zodiac) was debilitated by bitterness of Saturn).
As such, Rahu in 12th house is also adding uncontrolled release of electricity in the native as 12th house is right next to first.
Management/Cure
Foremost is that the mother of the native must quit over stimulating foods and drinks as mentioned above and should consume cold bitters to reduce Mars in herself like Kutki and shatavari etc. She should also avoid red and hot foods like tomatoes especially in summers. In fact, as we can see that a chart conveys the energy signatures of the entire family. Hence entire family should avoid hot, spicy, stimulants as mentioned earlier, with special focus on the native.
A combust mercury means that one sheds more sweat and the nutrients pass through quickly from the system without complete absorption. Hence apart from removing foods that stimulate the nervous system like chilies, tea and coffee, the native needs to consume more of magnesium in supplementary form. Since pitta (heat) is too high in the first house (deepest constitution) itself which also represents brain and head, the native should avoid exposure to strong sun and lights and should rather prefer warm yellow lights as white light is hotter and more piercing and stimulating. The native should wear goggles and hat/cap if the native has to step out under hot sun.
During very hot weather, the native may need to apply mud pack on the entire body including head to absorb magnesium and other minerals for reducing excess firing of nervous system. One may add white sandalwood powder to it to get more coolness. The native should consume very nutritious food full of proteins, fats, carbs, vitamins and minerals. For this the native should consume very well cooked lentils and grains with spices and vegetables/fruits as per weather but never those spices that stimulate the nervous system like chilies. The native should understand the basics of Ayurveda including nutrition. During summers, when Sun and Mars (heat and pungency) are strong in the weather, the native should consume cold spices in food like coriander (leaves and powder), mint (leaves and powder), fennel etc.
During winters and cold weather like rainy season, the native should use warmer spices like ginger, asafetida, cumin, cinnamon and small cardamom. The quantity of these hot and cold spices should vary in line with the warmth in the weather which the native would learn gradually. The native should also consume milk and its products as not only they are cooling in nature but also provide B12. The native would definitely need B12 supplements too apart from this source. The native should rest as much as possible and should specially give rest to the brain and thus the entire nervous system by avoiding overstimulation.
The native should avoid any intense exercise even during winters and should rather perform light Surya Namaskar (12 postures) to homogenize bodily fluids (rasa in ayurvedic language). During summers the native may do 2-3 rounds of Surya namaskar and may increase it to 4-5 during winters. The aim is not to over increase blood circulation because as such the native has less of blood volume due to excess metabolism.
Last but not the least, it is an absolute foolishness on the part of the people around to stamp such cases as psychiatric cases which is becoming a rising trend in today’s world. Even many doctors stamp cases as psychiatric when they themselves fail to understand the issue. By doing so, we are further aggravating their issue and committing a sin by not providing solution and instead creating a stigma around them. In fact, in this case too this happened though the fact is that the native has Sun in the first house which imparts good ability to perceive and understand things. Astrologically Sun is the significator (karaka) of the first house because Ayurvedically, Sadhak Pitta is found maximum in brain and rightly so because a good neurotransmission provides ability to perceive the world well. A true psychiatry case where one’s brain is weak is where Rahu and Moon are associated with the first house not where Sun is posted in first.
From spiritual angle, a soul inherits everything based on his/her past life karmas and desires. When a soul faces struggles whether mental, physical, financial or relationship etc, it is because of something called as Pitra dosha (ancestral trauma) where the soul has to reap the fruits of her own karmas which she committed as her own grand grand father or grand grand mother in the past life.
However, this is also true that if we don’t digress from Vedic lifestyle especially Ayurveda, then we would never create sins and thus even Pitra doshas but this is also true that the soul learns this only through the hard way because even though the higher souls (Gods for us) keep telling us to follow the Vedas, the less evolved souls (baby souls) are carried away by quick fix approaches of Kalyuga like allopathic medicines thereby taking us into the vicious circle of physical diseases and mental aberrations like greed, lust, anger, possessiveness, inflated ego. Its only when this discomfort becomes chronic that the soul slows down and begins to understand that what the higher souls had told them was right- To read and understand Vedas in true letter and spirit. I also learnt the hard way and it goes true for all. All in all, struggle is essential for evolution of the soul.
