ADDENDUM TO “THE ROOT CAUSE” BOOK

Dear Readers, this is an addendum to the which captures expansions to the concepts/topics mentioned in both the volumes of the book “THE ROOT CAUSE- Ayurveda, Astrology and beyond for a blissful life” (link mentioned at the end of this addendum). That is why this addendum should ideally be read only after going through the books especially volume one.

The proof that Soul, Reincarnation and the higher world exist- Many readers of my book “THE ROOT CAUSE- Ayurveda, Yoga, Astrology and beyond” and blogs have expressed their desire to know that what I saw during my past life regression (PLR) session about which I have very briefly captured in the book. I am sharing this not only to settle their inquisitiveness but also because it will give them and future readers, a proof that it was not a mere illusion or creativity of my mind (as many think of PLR to be) and that the higher world exists and it is just the body that dies and not our soul. Here we go… Back then in 2011, when I suddenly started struggling with debilitating health issues which could not be treated/cured/pacified by several doctors from all fields, I got introduced to “Santosh Joshi” a renowned PLR therapist from Mumbai who initiated my PLR through meditation.

The Experience

When i went into deep meditation, I saw myself entering a house (which I could identify as my home) where a person was sitting on a mattress spread on the ground right behind a hollow inclined bench (which is called as “Galla” in Hindi and whose top was used by accountants cum secretaries of the kings or head of the states/smaller regions etc. in ancient India to write and then store ledgers/documents and cash in its hollow portion under lock and key). Such people were called as Munshi. While the face of this person (who I could identify as my father in that life) was totally unfamiliar, the moment I looked into his eyes, I could immediately recognize him as my current life’s brother who is elder to me by 10 years and I see him as a fatherly figure. I subsequently learnt that eyes represent the highest chakra of the soul in physical body and they don’t change even in different lives what to talk of same life. The next scene that I saw was me praying to God in a temple somewhere in Rishikesh- an Indian city next to river Ganges which gives me the feeling of “Deja vu” in this life whenever I visit there.

I saw my soul leaving that body in that temple and moving to the higher world where I met the higher order souls who told me that the purpose of my life would be “To undergo pain for healing others”. Now back in 2011, this message was absolutely a surprise to me as I could not understand its relevance as at that time I was purely absorbed in the environment of the corporate world and had no idea that my severe and chronic pains will push me to study Ayurveda, Astrology and other Vedic sciences to connect dots with the contemporary science so that I can explain them in a layman’s language through books and blogs. It is gradually that I realized that Ayurveda and specifically Astrology already use concepts of biology, nutrition, geography, physics, chemistry, astronomy and much more, that too not just on a large scale but even at quantum level, all of which I have captured in the books (and to an extent in the blogs). I must mention here that my inquisitiveness to learn the logic of things (right from the beginning of life which only science can answer) including informal study of Ayurveda through books (starting 2007) came handy to connect dots and when I started finding pattern, I began studying more to connect more dots and understanding the bigger picture. I now know that the soul enters a timeline in the internet (Web) of Maya, like entering a software to complete an intended objective/desire.

THE VALIDATION OF MY PAST LIFE- Till 2015, I never shared my PLR experience with anyone except my wife. This is because from a very happy go lucky person, I had suddenly gone too deep in my cocoon due to slowing down by my disease (my colleagues will vouch for it). In 2015, my brother who stays with my parents was coaxed by one of his friends to visit a Nadi Astrologer- the Astrologers who can tell one’s past life basis one’s thumb impression itself. Coincidently (though there is nothing like coincidence in reality), on return when he was narrating his experience to my parents, I also happened to visit there. And there came a jaw dropping moment which still gives me goose bumps. This is because his opening statement was that “He in his previous life was an accountant (Munshi) to a king”. I literally jumped out of my seat because I saw all that which further strengthened my faith in the higher world and reincarnations. This is the reason that in my book, I have captured the last chapter totally on spiritual world and its connection with physical plane.

*** Post this when I slowed down, I saw many other aspects of my previous lives but not through formal PLR sessions. Sometimes I would see them during my meditations and on other occasion, they would just drop in my mind while unknowingly carrying out some activity which had connection with my previous lifetimes thereby creating a “Deja Vu” effect. I saw that in one of my previous lives (around 400 years back), I was an Army officer in another country. I saw his name boldly flashing across my eyes and mind. I was surprised when I googled this complete name alongwith rank because the description precisely matched with what I saw during “Deja Vu”. Subsequently, I realized that since Sanskar (energy signatures) of a soul continue from one life to another due to inertia, that inertia pushed me into Army in this life too though it was short lived in this life tamed by Saturn (the planet that slows down).

First Chapter- VPK, tastes and medicines

*** Just to reiterate for clearer understanding that true kapha people have good volume of blood/rasa in their body (vessels) thus ensuring firmness unlike Vata people where blood moves in a haywire manner. However excess Kapha creates stagnation too thereby inviting Kapha diseases. On the other hand, when Pitta settles in Vata people, the physiology moves from VP (Rahu) to Vata (Saturn). Please remember that even a large framed person may be Vata (due to relatively less volume of rasa in their large vessels) and a thin framed person may be Kapha (due to fully filled rasa/blood in their narrow vessels).

An important visualization about Seven Dhatus and their relation with Astrology

We Know that out of the seven Dhatus (tissues) only Rasa and Rakta (interstitial fluid and blood) are movable which create rest of the tissues that are more or less fixed at their place except that part of them circulate through Rasa and Rakta in the body. Thus it is the direction of flow of Rasa and Rakta that creates firm tissues thereby creating a firm flow of direction which can be visualized as rigid pipes with gradient towards one direction that ensures that most of nutrition that we eat moves more towards a specific direction due the gradient of the channels (pipes) inside our body thereby creating more Kapha there. Higher the gradient, more the difference between density of tissues in two different points in the body thereby creating more Vata imbalance with higher Vata where less tissues are present. This is why Moon’s position in the birth chart is considered extremely important in Astrology as it determines the flow of Rasa (through gravitational pull) which in turn determines the density of Kapha in different parts of the body. Of course in turn, it is affected by other forces/planets which can be seen in the birth chart. In other words, the initial position of Rasa creates a firm structure which we understand as Prakriti. And if there is Vikruti in Prakriti (in terms of excess Vata imbalance between two different parts of the body), then the only way to undo it is by Asanas because only Asanas can redirect the flow of rasa in the body by pushing rigid channels/tissues in the desired direction.

*** Rahu and Ketu which are formed due to gravitational differences created by different alignments between moon’s orbital plane and earth’s orbital plane, represent nothing but the extent of this Vata imbalance only.

Pineal gland- the most important crystal

We know that a crystal can emanate the absorbed light in different colors and in different directions with different speed. As such we know that red travels farthest in the visible spectrum. Pineal gland uses exactly this principle in our body. So, when our body absorbs light through skin (especially of forehead) and ambient light, then it activates pineal thereby triggering bioelectric current in the body. However the level of activation of pineal varies depending upon the frequency of light that falls on it. In fact, the shape of the crystal too at the time of its formation and initial growth depends upon the type of light that fall on it (in form of zodiacs and planets). Thus, when red light falls on it, it triggers an according bioelectric current which in triggers bio-chemicals in the body that increase passion. That is how different frequencies of light trigger different hormones/chemicals in the body which can be gainfully employed by different constitutions. On the other hand, by using techniques like brahmri/Aum recitation or application of sandalwood on forehead, one can increase or decrease the frequency and level of light falling on pineal.

More about Rahu Ketu axis

Ketu in upper body (higher chakras) means confined/closed body/mind where Rahu causes movement but in a confined space. Rahu in upper body (higher chakras) means constriction due to Ketu while in an expanded state due to Rahu.

Cell is the miniature of Body (an important visualization)

Just like a living body, each cell in a living body too is a conscious being. That is why it too is supposed to have organs (called as organelles in case of a cell) which have functions similar to the organs in the body. Thus, nucleus inside the cell (which houses DNA) works like brain as it provides command and control of the entire cell functions. Mitochondria works like digestive system (especially liver) and provides energy to the cell by digesting nutrients/food absorbed through pores in the cell membrane. Here pores work like mouth. The cell membrane works like skin giving shape and protection from the external environment and allowing only right foods to enter. Ribosomes in the cells work like excretion system as they expel out the unwanted elements. Cytoplasm inside the cell works like all the seven tissues that provide food, shape, strength and movement to the cell. In fact, we can go even deeper e.g. within cytoplasm there are microfilaments which work literally like muscles thereby creating circular movement of cytoplasm (just like heart does which is a muscle in itself) whereas microtubules in cytoplasm (which also create endoplasmic reticulum) work like circulatory system and bones and the fluid part of cytoplasm works more like blood and lymph.

*** This visualization can have interesting applications from “Yat Pinde Tat Brahamande” viewpoint as this may mean that even though every particle of the entire body is entangled with the rest in some way or the other however a specific organ of the body is likely to have a very close entanglement with the corresponding organelle of the cell in terms of its functioning and the chemicals that are released by them or affect them (positively or negatively is a different topic). This also means that a specific herb will have same effect not just inside an organ but also on the organelles present in all the cells of the body. From astrological perspective, a birth chart may also be representing the constitution of the individual cells of the body and different houses different organelles.

Prakriti versus Vikruti

Since Prakriti gets formed in early years of life during the growing stages which establishes the basic framework of the body (and the distance between different organs), there is no doubt that any distortion (vikruti) in Prakriti is bound to create chronic health issues in the native. And that is why parents should be very careful while planning and brining up their children by ensuring that they and their children eat in line with weather and constitution. This also means that a native should not wander away from the basics even after his/her healthy Prakriti has been defined. This is because even though distortions in a healthy prakriti are reversible however if they get passed down to the next generation, they will create permanent distortion in the Prakriti. And this will carry on from one generation to another. That is why excess Vata which creates distortions should not be allowed to enter the system which is possible only by ensuring that one doesn’t deviate from basics of Ayurvedic principles ever. Of course, Vata is bound to enter the system sooner or later. That is how Satyuga gradually moves to Kalyuga. However, this movement can be slowed (even though not inevitable).

*** The interesting part is that even though excess and compressed kapha (ketu) in a person creates issues like diabetes, it is opposite of Vata (emptiness). Thus with time and generation, increase in Vata in a kapha gene pool is a blessing in disguise. However inertia doesn’t allow the native to realize to stop consuming Vata aggravating foods when Vata begins to reach its unhealthy state. That is why Ayurveda is an extremely essential tool to keep us on the middle path and therefore self administration is the highest virtue where all the members of the family (small or large at society or even nation and world level) should know the basics of Ayurveda. The more one knows, the higher would be level of self administration and higher would be the realm of that soul.

*** It is extremely difficult to stay against one’s Prakriti (even if there is Vikruti in the Prakriti itself). This is the reason that many people find it difficult to change their diet (even if that diet is causing health issues). Of course, the higher world has solution to every problem through Ashtang Yoga but the fact is that the more is deviation from Prakriti more difficult it becomes to bring stability.

How is systemic entanglement within body cells/organs created

When the fertilized egg starts dividing and growing from a single cell to more, it begins to create entanglement between different cells primarily through simultaneously growing intercellular nervous and circulatory system (though we know that different organs are connected with each other even through muscles, bones etc too). While the pattern of this entanglement is decided at the DNA level which in turn is decided by the parents DNAs (and in turn their doshas at the time of fertilization) that we understand as genetics, it is also continuously influenced by the continuously changing state of VPK in the weather conditions (which we understand as planets and zodiacs) at the time of fertilization and post that.

*** The best way to understand tastes of different food items/herbs/spices is that they must be tasted individually to know their different tastes and sub tastes and subsequent effect on our body.

More about SWEET TASTE

Proteins (essential versus non essential amino acids)

All proteins are made up of sub units called as amino acids. A total of 20 amino acids (AAs) are found in nature which create all the proteins. When we consume a protein rich food, we consume these amino acids. While our body needs all these 20 amino acids (AA) to create different proteins needed for several purposes in our body including strength, enzymes , hormones and so on, the fact is that our body is able to create only 10 of them from different molecules of foods that we consume (am not getting into the chemistry of its process). However, there are 10 amino acids which our body needs from external resources and that is why they are called as essential amino acids just like essential fats (omega 3, MUFA and PUFA) are needed to be consumed by our body whereas our body does produce its own saturated fats. While pulses, grains are loaded with amino acids most of them donot contain all the ten essential AAs.

*** This is the reason that the two groups of lentils/pulses and of grains should be consumed together as both groups provide different essential amino acids (ideally they should be rotated too so that the body is able to get all essential amino acids from their combination apart from other essential minerals and vitamins and complex carbohydrates received from grains (those who have excess Kapha but settled Vata, can have only pulses to increase Vata of their system). This is the reason that having lentils alone does not give a feeling of satisfaction unless it is consumed along with grains in form of chapattis/bread/rice etc. Similarly, many Indians consume salted Chana Murmura (gram and puffed rice respectively) as a snack which is filling as well as nutritious. One can even add corn flakes to it which adds fats to it.

*** Of course, there are certain vegetarian foods that are able to provide all the essential amino acids that too in the right ratio and these are milk, cheese, yogurt, peanuts, soy and quinoa. This is why corn flakes with milk is also a healthy breakfast. Apart from amino acids, soy also provides loads of iron, fiber and other minerals. That is why Soy when softened in nuggets form (by boiling and mashing it into powdery form to create granules) is a wonderful food for settling Vata however being very high on proteins (as high as 52%), it should be consumed in moderation that too along with alkaline vegetables like cucumber/bitter and ash gourds (in summers) to neutralize uric acid produced by protein metabolism.

*** Being full of essential AAs, milk with chawanprash provides all the necessary micro and macro minerals to settle Vata. However being too hot, it cannot be consumed by in high Pitta conditions and by Pitta people. Such people can consume cold milk with strawberry as latter is warm in nature apart from being high on Vitamin C and many essential minerals including iron. It is also sweet, sour and astringent. Hence it provides strength. However, its fine only when one has strong Jatharagni and high Vata too (VP).

*** Non essential amino acids are created from glucose (basic molecule of sugar) and amino group taken from other amino acids consumed. In simple words, amino acids can be created through chemical processes which is why sprouting of pulses is known to increase protein contents making them healthier as sprouting involves creation of glucose from sunlight and air through photosynthesis.

More about Saturated Fats

We know that saturated fats provide immediate energy to the body. This is why even outside the body, ghee provides fuel and energy to fire thereby immediately increasing its intensity when put on the source of fire. However, in absence of fire/pitta, saturated fats clog our arteries. Hence pure Vata people should avoid when Pitta is low in them causing depression etc. Instead Vata people’s aim should be to reduce Vata/space (arising due to VP) through bitter and cold medicines while also removing excess Kapha from the body so that space can be reduced through mild laxatives etc. This is also the reason that smoking point of ghee is high as coldness of SFAs keeps calming the fire.

Storage of Sweet taste in the body

It is extremely important to understand that unlike Vitamin A, D, E and K, which are fat soluble and thus can be stored in the body mostly in liver and in our fat cells too, one needs regular dose of minerals, Vitamin C, B (except B12 which can be stored in liver) as they are water soluble and get removed along with water excreted from our body through urine, waste and sweat. Similarly, while fat and carbohydrates can be stored in the body, proteins (or amino acids) cannot be. They simply go and get absorbed in our muscles or are used up for various enzymatic activities and other physiological purposes. Proteins stay in our blood stream only for 24-48 hrs after consumption post which excess of them get converted into direct energy or fat or glucose to get stored as fat or glucose in the body. That is why it is so important to consume proteins and minerals on daily basis. This also means that ideally we (especially Vata people) must do light yoga on daily basis to undo Vata imbalance for homogenization (uniform distribution of nutrition in the body).

*** Many texts capture minerals like Calcium, potassium etc. too as vitamins (or vice versa) as they are vital minerals however here Vitamins refer to only A, B, C, D, E and K and minerals refer to only metals and non-metallic compounds of the periodic table of elements i.e. calcium, potassium, zinc, sodium etc.

*** Important to note that while Vitamins are stable even in high temperature conditions, however they lose their stability (and even absorption) very quickly in low pH (high acidity) conditions. In simple words, those who experience acidity need more Vitamins than otherwise.

Sugar

Refined sugar (white) is cold, sweet, heavy, dense and slow. That is why its fine to consume when weather is hot, pungent, light and quick or when one consumes it mellow down such doshas in our body which could arise due to weather or due to consumption of such foods like hot spices. Since jaggery is hot, pungent, fibrous, its sweetness is taken care of its former qualities.

The importance of Laxatives

All foods that are slimy (slippery) act as laxatives e.g. papaya, haritaki, vibhitaki, fennel, betel leaf, amla and so on. They seem to be getting their slimy effect from loads of fiber present in them. Laxatives are extremely important for those cases where Vata is high in the lower body vis-à-vis upper resulting in issues like constipation, piles etc.  However again one cannot be consuming them forever else they will begin reducing excess rasa from upper body and create Vata in upper resulting insomnia, headaches, neckaches etc. which would be needed to be undone with right Asanas. This is why we must learn to strike balance.

*** Any food/herb/asana to push blood towards specific part of the body must be accompanied by holistic sweetness (proteins, fats, carbs, vitamins and minerals) to pacify vata of that place else it will become ineffective. One may even need to fill in the reserves of the body (of all sub tastes of sweet) depleted due to high energy demand of the body due to high Vata imbalance which pushes Pitta and increases metabolism. That is why it is important to know that which food item carries what kind of nutrition so that one can create a holistic meal by mixing various food items.

Minerals and Vitamins- The sub Tastes of sweet

Most of the people in today’s world are aware of the importance of proteins, fat and carbs, however the fact is that importance of minerals and vitamins is still undermined. Hence, the aim of section is to discuss in detail about the importance of different minerals and vitamins (collectively called as micro nutrients due to the amount that is needed by the body) whose deficiency is a major contributing factor towards many chronic diseases. Please note that despite the fact that they are needed in very small quantities (as small as milligrams or even micrograms per day), they play a huge and essential role in our physiology as part of several thousand reactions happening all the time in our body for keeping it healthy. To begin with let us discuss about the reasons for their deficiency.

Reasons for Deficiency

To begin with here some of the important reasons which have led to the short supply of these micronutrients:-

  • Mal-absorption due to leaky/inflamed gut/chronic diseases which arise due to high Vata Pitta. Even lactose and gluten intolerance is due to high VP in intestines.
  • High Metabolism is another reason which is again high VP that quickly uses up and excretes them. This also means that those having high VP in their basic constitution will need more of these micronutrients in all meals and forever. Astrologically, it means those people who have very strong Rahu (usually place in their early houses and/or placed in 3rd zodiac i.e. Gemini, which is the zodiac of Rahu itself).
  • During recovery stage from all inflammatory diseases (fever, excess burning, insomnia, acidity, ulcers etc), the body needs more of these nutrients than usual amount. This is why would need to increase intake of all sub tastes of sweet through food which may need to be further supplemented by medicinal supplements including even those vitamins which are otherwise stored in the liver for long like B12 and Vitamin D.
  • Lack of consumption due to junk/poverty/ignorance of importance of science of nutrition etc. at micro level especially because people’s focus remains on making muscles and curves which keeps them focussed more on understanding proteins, carbs and fats.
  • Depletion in body due to vomiting, diarrhoea, indiscreet use of antibiotics (as they kill good bacteria), diuretics, laxatives.
  • Depletion in soil and thus plants (including herbs used in Ayurvedic meds) too due to environmental factors like deforestation, un-scientific agriculture methods, floods, fires etc, which finally leads to shortage in our body (This is again due to high VP i.e. high Rahu which increases desires and disparity and disorganized growth including unscientific agriculture practices).
  • Last but most importantly, the root cause of this reason is the lack of understanding of sweet taste (and even other tastes) of Ayurveda right till the micro level (i.e. at sub taste level of sweet) because of dark ages that majority of the earth faced barring a few countries where science of nutrition was being followed if not with complete awareness at scientific level (of knowing the logic) but at least at sub conscious level due to specific system in place. At spiritual level (which is also factual however being called as spiritual here as its proof is not available), the majority of the knowledge (called as Vedas in Vedic language) of the world got lost after the war of Mahabharata (the scriptures say that only about 15-20 percent) got saved. And thus, majority of the world entered the dark ages barring a few places where this knowledge existed in bits and pieces therefore avoiding a total collapse of the Vedic systems. Probably this is the reason that with resurgence of knowledge/science, it has become easy to connect dots to understand the logic of Vedic texts.

Finally about essential Minerals/Elements/Vitamins

There are around 118 known elements on earth out of which human body needs around 20 elements out of which some are macro elements like carbon, oxygen, hydrogen and partly nitrogen which are part of our basic structure (and are called as hydrocarbons) and are therefore present in our bodies in abundance and are also major part of proteins, carbs and fats. And the rest like sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, chloride, fluoride, iron, chromium, manganese, copper, zinc, sulphur, iodine, selenium are needed in very small quantities (from milligrams to micrograms) which is why the latter set is called as Micro minerals. All these elements are found in our body in different mineral forms (like magnesium mixed with sulphur to create magnesium sulphate etc) and hence are called as essential minerals and not essential elements. While macro minerals create the body (tissues) itself, micro minerals are essential in numerous biochemical processes/reactions like processes; for generating energy and/or synthesize/break down different proteins, fats, carbs; for contracting/expanding muscles for body movement, for  nerve stimulation and calming; for regulating flow of pitta in the body due to their ionic movements etc.

Paucity of these minerals can trigger many diseases like weak bone formation (rickets) due to paucity of vitamin D, bleeding gums (scurvy) and skin due to paucity of Vitamin C, hypertension due to less of magnesium, weak bones due to less of calcium, weakness due to lack of Vitamin B complex etc. Different sources of food provide different vitamins and minerals. As a thumb rule milk (and its products including ghee), grains, cereals and pulses, beans, seasonal vegetables, nuts, seeds and vegetable oils are good enough to provide all the minerals and vitamins. However, it is possible that due to environmental and other reasons one may run short on these. It is therefore important that one must know the function of different vitamins and minerals, their function, their sources, the symptoms of their deficiency and ideally how much should we consume them to avoid excess or less of them as both in extremes can be harmful. Not only that the interesting fact is that like everything even these minerals act opposite to each other by working on different forces of VPK e.g. magnesium calms down the nerves and muscles whereas calcium activates them. Both are necessary for a healthy body hence both are essential in our food and excess of one may need to be balanced by other.

*** While modern medicine has many tablets containing minerals and vitamins, however the best comprehensive medicine is Shilajit which is used in many Ayurvedic meds. Since minerals and Vitamins are essential along with Proteins, fats and carbs to pacify Vata, Ayurveda uses Shilajit in many of its medicines to deliver these nutrients to the targeted site. For example, Prabhakar Vati uses Shilajit along with Arjuna to deliver these minerals along with antioxidants and alkaline effect to heart by widening coronary artery.

However sometimes due to our ignorance we tend to skip their consumption leading to chronic issues which put us in a vicious circle of diseases. For example, in contemporary times, we consume a lot of sodium (in salt) and calcium (through milk etc) but we donot balance them with potassium (through sources like potatoes and coconut water) and magnesium (through sources like unrefined grains, seeds etc). In fact, absence or paucity of magnesium or potassium can even lead to congenital diseases of high VP nature. On the other hand their excess too can cause over suppression of Pitta and again diseases of congenital nature with high kapha but low Pitta. Even different constitutions can create excess or deficiency of specific mineral/s. That is why it is so important to keep in mind that deficiency or excess of which mineral/vitamin can create what kind of symptom so that the same can be corrected asap. This also means that their wise consumption can help humanity in getting rid of even genetic defects and juvenile diseases apart from lifestyle imbalances.

*** Iron deficiency is the most common of all mineral deficiencies because of several reasons including blood loss due to piles, ulcers, cancer, menstrual cycle etc. Unfortunately, iron consumption is not an efficient process especially from vegetarian resources (because of some chemical difference between iron from vegetarian versus non vegetarian resources) unless consumed with Vitamin C which improves iron absorption from vegetarian resources. That is why Amla (Indian gooseberry) which has iron as well as Vitamin C is an excellent source of iron for vegetarians. When consumed in form of chawanprash with milk it gives even other minerals and vitamins. Also, the reason that iron absorption is less efficient from vegetarian resources, vegetarians need to consume more iron than recommended dietary allowance (RDA) of 15 mg. This is also the reason that vegetarians should often use iron cookwares to increase iron content in their food while taking a few precautions like avoiding cooking of acidic foods in iron as it changes the taste of the food by pulling metal into food making the food a bit metallic in taste even though its harmless. This is one reason that milk was boiled in ironwares to add iron to milk which is naturally low in this mineral.

*** Since all the above mentioned attributes of each mineral and vitamin cannot be captured in a few pages, the readers are requested to open the excel file by clicking on the this link.

*** All forces play their role even at quantum level. A clear example is that of sodium and potassium. Potassium is heavier than sodium. Hence it is found more inside the cellular fluid as its heaviness pushes it deeper into the cell whereas it’s opposite ion i.e. sodium is found primarily outside the cells in the intracellular fluid (of course there is complex chemistry involved in this exchange) however you can simply call it quantum gravity. The exchange takes place only when cell gets excited and takes in Sodium and pushes out potassium. That is why Ketu dominated people who have more Kapha towards the core (inwards) have more of potassium than those having Rahu. Since Ketu people have Rahu in lower body, it makes them prone to weak gut and/or kidneys etc. This is why higher potassium in blood tests can mean higher risks of kidney disease etc which must be countered with strategies that help in reducing Vata in the lower body like Asanas, reduction in potassium rich foods that will further increase ketu (and thus sluggishness), use of diuretics to flush out excess potassium. Goes without saying that their indiscreet use can create more harm than good. Hence they should be used only to balance doshas and not for too long.

The above example goes in line with the fact, that Rahu (high VP) people should use more of heavy metals (including heavy foods) to calm down their system whereas Ketu people should use lighter metals and foods to get rid of excess Kapha. Another example of quantum gravity is of calcium and magnesium. Calcium being heavier than Mg, precipitates and contracts muscles (contraction can be visualized as creation of dent in space time fabric at minute level. When Pitta goes high and it stretches the body, this calcium gets released from the bones into muscles to contract them and carry out the necessary word during the stimulated stage. Thus calcium can be seen as Pitta and Sourness increasing mineral. Same goes with Sodium that excites the cell. On the other hand, Mg and K can be viewed as Pitta reducing and astringent minerals. Please remember that this is not to classify them as acidic or alkaline. We know that low Pitta and high Pitta can both create acidic or alkaline mediums in different conditions. Same goes with astringency and sourness where excess astringency can cause acidity even though it weakens Pitta initially and likewise with sourness.

*** Those who cannot afford to have citrus fruits to get Vitamin C due to acidity (VP in stomach) leading to burning etc, have many other options to get enough vitamin c in their body e.g. Potatoes are high on Vitamin C apart from magnesium and potassium especially if their skin is not removed as it has many of these nutrients. Also other than a few vegetables one should try and consume vegetables with their skin. This is not only because of the nutrients present in the skin but also because boiling/cooking with skin intact ensures minimal loss of nutrients due to heat.

A living body works like a battery

It is extremely important to visualize that energy can flow in between two points only when there is a potential difference between the two e.g. water contained in a tank placed on a higher platform flows into the lower tank because height provides higher potential to the higher tank. Similarly if two water tanks placed on the same height are interconnected then water would flow from the tank with more water (let us call it tank A) to the tank with lesser water (tank B) again due to potential difference between the two however flow from tank with more water into the one with less water will continue only till such time its level becomes same in both the tanks (let us call this illustration two). Likewise for the electricity to flow in a particular direction, the two poles of a battery need to have different potential (one with more electrons and the other with less). The problem comes when potential difference between the two poles becomes zero. In such a case, similar to the water tanks, the electricity stops flowing. This is why the non rechargeable batteries die very quickly.

However this is not the case with rechargeable batteries like those used in cars etc. As the term suggests, these batteries can be recharged. This happens when electricity is pushed in the opposite direction in them thereby again creating potential difference or say difference in between the charge of two poles (this is similar to using electric motor in case of illustration two stated above when water stops flowing due to levelling between the two tanks, to re-pump water in the tank A from tank B so that once again potential difference between the two tanks is created and water can be made to flow from Tank A to Tank B). Now, why this is kind of recharging is not possible in all batteries is because not all batteries have such a medium through which electric charges can be reversed. However, those which have are called as rechargeable batteries. Such mediums are called as electrolytes which not only ensure the flow of charges (or say electricity) between two poles of the battery but also ensure reverse flow when charged with external source of electricity.

Since electricity flows in a living body too for innumerable functions whether it is for circulation or for digestion or for excretion or for speaking etc, human body too is like a battery and that too rechargeable which is why there has to be a system in place which can recharge the different poles of the battery of the living body. Depending upon different processes in the body, these poles could be intercellular or intracellular. That is why electrolytes are so important in our body. While sunlight, heat, carbs, fats and to some extent proteins provide us power/electricity to recharge the human battery, minerals like sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium work as electrolytes which keep moving to and fro from one pole to another as part of discharging and recharging process. In simple words, electricity flows in reverse direction when we are working (mentally or physically or both) vis-a-vis when we are at rest. Now, since our body has to shed off metabolic waste via continuously flowing water (through blood and the GI tract), some part of these electrolytes stored in the body also dissolve in the stream of water and get lost from the system. This is the reason that we must keep replenishing them through various sources.

This also explains that even if sodium and potassium act opposite to each other, we need both of them to facilitate flow of electricity in the body (sometimes in one direction and sometimes in opposite depending upon our actions and time of the day as discussed above). Same goes with magnesium and its opposite calcium. This also means if someone’s battery (body) has contracted due to loss of minerals (vata) and if such a person wants to expand back then one would need more electrolytes than usual apart from proteins, fats, carbs and vitamins. The reverse is also true if someone needs to contract inwards.

*** Since magnesium reduces firing of the nerves thereby calming down muscles, it is known to augment the functions of Gaba especially when Gaba becomes ineffective or partially or fully.

*** The human body needs to maintain 37 degrees C to ensure that all its organs and thus enzymes/hormones are working properly. This is why during winters, body’s metabolism may need to go up if one does not consume enough of warm temperature and warm potency foods thereby creating Vata (coldness/hollowness). Extreme vata/coldness constricts the body and heart inwards thereby ensuring retention of heat by clumping together (don’t we clump our body when facing extreme cold?). On the other hand during summers, when body needs to shed off heat, the cells of the body including heart expand to release as much heat as possible. Thus the body or say our battery keeps expanding or contracting basis needs. The problem comes when the battery runs short of minerals which are necessary to conduct electricity (inwards or outwards or both) resulting in health issues due to loss of energy/heat. That is why it is extremely essential to maintain sufficient electrolytes in the body which if lost due to diseases/medicines (like diuretics) etc. must be replenished. That is why a healer (for self or others) must have total understanding of:-

  • how different minerals work in the body (at least at basic level),
  • what are the symptoms of their deficiency or imbalance (e.g. excess calcium but less magnesium or vice versa),
  • how much of their intake is essential,
  • which foods contain which mineral/s etc.

Water soluble versus Fat Soluble nutrients

Water is a universal solvent which moves all the nutrients in the body from one place to another. On the other hand fat soluble nutrients are stationed at one place because unlike water, fat gets stored at different places instead of circulating (lipids found in blood are meant to transport fat to the place of storage for various purposes already discussed earlier in the book). This is the reason that Vitamin C that is travelling in water (blood) can re-energize (or reactive) Vitamin E in the body by de-oxidising (reducing) it.

*** The best way to get sufficient minerals is by consuming seeds especially of fruits like watermelon and pumpkin which apart from being very high on magnesium, zinc, phosphorus, iron etc are also high on proteins. They are cold in nature and have no side effects except that being high on fiber, their overconsumption can create bloating/stomach pain especially those having stomach issues like colic etc. Such people can remove the covering of the seeds. This is the reason they are called as Magaz key beej in Hindi (which seeds of brain) which literally work wonders for our nervous system. Since refined sugar is cold, it can increase Vata.

*** Psyllium husk- is an extremely important part of many Ayurvedic medicines. It is not simply fiber but is also cold and slippery. Thus it gives a feeling of fullness to the body and is especially good in those cases where high VP has pushed excess Kapha in the body. In simple words, its consumption undoes excess Kapha in the body thereby restoring Vata/movement in the body which was getting stuck due to excess Kapha. Being cold it also helps to balance excess Pitta. Since, its slimy nature pushes excess Kapha from the system, it also removes excess Pitta stored in the body.

More about Gluten intolerance

This is to reiterate that gluten intolerance primarily happens due to high Vata when body constricts inwards leading to poor circulation and collection of waste/ama. Astrologically it happens when Saturn goes in excess in the body due to Saturn personality and/or strong Saturn in Shadbala and/or Saturn sade sati and/or Saturn mahadasha. Such people should open up slowly and gradually while initially relying on gluten free foods and then slowly introducing gluten foods. Gluten needs pitta to digest and sudden introduction of Pitta will increase VP in them leading to pains, insomnia etc. Hence such people should rest and open up gradually while ensuring that all nutrients go in the body as its mass increases gradually.

The Smell of Doshas

Do you know that many people (including animals) can smell diseases? In fact, there are many healers who send medicines even if sitting hundreds of thousands of kms from the patient, by just smelling the used cloths of the patient. This is because different diseases smell differently which probably can be understood/comprehended only through experience of lifetimes. In other words, doshas and their combination do have their characteristic smell however one needs to have a very settled mind to feel them and the difference in between different smells. For example, high Pitta is bound to create pungent smell due to sweat. Whereas healthy Kapha will emanate pleasant smell or rather fragrance as most of us experience when we kiss or hug a healthy child or even a healthy Kapha person. Pure Vata is usually odourless as it blocks Pitta from pushing Kapha from travelling outside. On the other hand, ama has a foul smell. That is why Alzheimer’s patient donot smell whereas Parkinson’s patients do.

Another example is Cancer. We know that cancer is tridoshic, however still different cancers are created by one or two dominating dosha that push other dosha/doshas. For example, when Pitta pushes Kapha in upper body thereby reversing Apana vata and causing constipation, then it will create a very foul and pungent smell due to trapping of Ama. On the other hand, when cancer is Kapha dominating (with relatively less of other doshas), then its smell will be much less pungent. All in all, this section was to give you all food for thought that if we develop settled mind through sattvic food, then we can even smell excess doshas (in people around) and help them settle those doshas with right foods and lifestyle before they aggravate and take form of fully blown serious disease.

*** VP is high in most of the people in Kalyuga whether they are Rahu minds or Ketu minds. This is because of excess Pitta in the system leading to global warming etc. Hence everyone should read about VP management as it goes high especially in hot weather conditions.

How one sub dosha affects other’s and vice versa and different strategies for different chakras

We already know that how one dosha affects other dosha/s and vice versa and how different sub doshas of Vata are connected to each other. We also discussed in brief about different sub doshas of Pitta. Now just visualize Pachak Pitta going high in a person who has less Kapha and more Vata in the entire system (i.e. all chakras). In such a case high Pachak Pitta will pierce through the less dense tissues and thus increase heat and acidity in the gut area. Since acidity increases sourness, this will further increase Pitta and Vata (movement and outward spread) in the entire body as blood will gush through narrowed vessels (as sourness swells and thus narrows all our vessels including blood vessels). All this will have a cascading effect on the other Sub doshas of Pitta too e.g. excess Pitta will widen our pores on the skin (called as heat receptors in contemporary language) thereby allowing more heat (Bhrajak Pitta) from the entire body during summers thereby creating a loop of higher and higher Pitta. These wider pores/heat receptors will also push more heat through forehead as well as eyes thereby increasing more Sadhak Pitta and even alochak Pitta again creating a loop of more Pitta in the system. Since summer/heat accumulates Vata as Vata is nothing but hollowness due to burning of tissues, such a sustained exposure of Pitta will create excess Vata and Pitta in the system i.e. Rahu. High Pitta would also mean excess heat in the blood of the native creating a distorted and hot Ranjak Pitta which Ayurveda calls as rakta Pitta.

Quite similar will be the effect if we start from high Sadhak Pitta triggered by overstress, overspeaking, over-thinking, overanalysing etc. or from high Alochak triggered by exposure to excess of light or from Bhrajak triggered by exposure to excess of heat in the environment etc. which will in turn increase Pachak Pitta and thus acidity etc. (remember high Pachak doesn’t always mean strong jatharagni too unless Kapha is sufficient). Thus such a person during high Pitta conditions may need medicines to calm down Pitta’s of all chakras (or say all sub doshas of Pitta) else one sub dosha would keep increasing other sub doshas in an unending loop. Of course, as mentioned this cannot be true for all as different people have different constitution. A lot will depend upon which chakra/house/sub dosha of the person is already high on Vata where Pitta will create problems. Thus, a person whose gut is high on kapha (let’s Jupiter in its own zodiac) but with very strong Sun (Sadhak Pitta) may need medicines and other strategies to calm down Sadhak Pitta but wouldn’t need pitta calming strategies for fifth house/gut. In fact in such a case, the person may need warm spices like ginger to keep the Agni burning else excess Kapha in gut will create weak Agni and thus ama and pain etc.

On the other hand, a person with cold Kapha in brain (Astrologically it could be because of Jupiter and good moon) but with high Vata Pitta (like Saturn mars combination) in gut area will need strategies to keep good Pitta in brain but not in gut. While such a person may feel that ginger is good for him/her as it will ignite Agni of brain too (indirectly through gut or say pachak pitta) however this will further inflate his/her Agni and VP of the gut which is already high and haywire (due to excess Vata/hollowness) resulting in issues like IBS etc. Thus such a person would need strategies like pouring buttermilk/milk on navel or taking it through enema to calm down excess VP of the gut. Similarly a person with strong moon with Saturn in first house or second house may need spices like black pepper (which works straight on brain to stimulate sadhak pitta) to get rid of excess Kapha (with low pitta) resulting in depression/brain fog etc. Thus it will be different folks different strokes basis the constitution of the native which is the fundamental principle of Ayurveda.

Attached is the link of various strategies that can be used in form of different medicines/ herbs/ spices/ pranayama/ yoga/ mantra to calm down (reduce Pitta) or stimulate (increase Pitta) different body parts/chakras or say different houses of the birth chart.  Click here…Herbs to pacify nd stimulate chakras

*** First and fifth house signify HPA axis. Since first house has direct impact on fifth and vice versa, a VP person may need medicines/herbs for both the houses alongwith fourth house as pitta flares up (opens up) heart chakra too. The reverse is also true that if a person already has overly opened heart chakra then such a person would need Pitta reducing meds for first and fifth house too apart from fourth house as heart not only distributes Pitta but its excessive openness can also result in accumulation of excess pitta in the body during summers due to overly open heat sensors/pores on the skin. It is important to understand that inflation of HPA axis and then heart chakra (fourth house) happens primarily due to Vata getting flared by high Pitta. Astrologically, this means those who have high Vata (space) created by high Pitta but weak Kapha in the system due to excess Rahu or debilitated Saturn or Saturn Mars or Mars Rahu conjunction have to be careful as any of the five sub doshas of Pitta generating from any chakra whether it be speaking, thinking, running, walking, eating spicy, getting exposed to excess heat etc can flare up Vata and create pain. This is what fibromyalgia is all about which can manifest in different parts of the body in different ways. This is why fibromyalgia is not a single disease. It is a group of diseases. And the only way to control this is by becoming totally aware of self and avoiding that which inflates and consuming right medicines to deflate as and when needed.

Brain versus Heart versus Gut

This is to reiterate that all organs are essential for a healthy body hence it is wrong to define which organ is more important than the other. This debate is like debating which of the Trinities (Shiva, Vishnu or Brahma) is more powerful than the other. We already discussed that it is foolishness to do so because they all complement each other. Hence, instead of reading brain or heart as primary CPU or secondary CPU respectively (as mentioned in the first volume of the book), readers are requested to read them as major CPUs of the body. As regards debate on the seat of Sadhak Pitta, please understand that while brain creates Sadhak Pitta due to light falling on pineal gland (through forehead and thus Bhrajak Pitta) and through movement of alochak Pitta through eyes (even other Pittas indirectly create Sadhak Pitta as we read in the para above), it is heart that distributes Sadhak Pitta and even other Pittas in the entire body thereby creating homogenization. Hence if heart is working well, it can provide sound physical health to the person and if not then it can create non-homogenization and thus Vata (haywireness) in the system just like beta blockers do in the long run. On the other hand if brain is not working well due to adverse energies (of planets/zodiacs) sitting there, it will not perceive the world properly or over/under perceive. So while Brain regulates VPK, heart distributes them.

*** This also means that while the entire body stores memories even though they are regulated through CPU (i.e. brain), the expansion or contraction of the heart determines the level of storage of the memories. When heart is too inwards (more contracted), it pushes the body to store memories due to inward Vyana Vata. That is why a closed heart chakra (Saturn in fourth) stores lot of emotions too (negative as well as positive) making one emotional but not expressive. On the other hand, a person with very open chakra (Rahu) will keep evaporating experiences thereby being very expressive even though not retaining.

Fluid tissues versus firm tissues (an important visualization)

We know that it is Rasa’s movement that creates other tissues however Rasa and Rakta being fluids keep moving whereas other tissues don’t (though their smaller particles are present in Rasa and blood too in form of lipoproteins etc.). This also means that since Rasa is controlled primarily by Moon (until we become aware and start controlling it through Asanas and foods too), Rasa may leave a place however the tissues created by it will stay there. This fact can have many implications.

Pyramids

*** This is to reiterate that pyramids are thumb rules and a lot will depend upon energies located in different chakras (and even microchakras) of the body which can be read most accurately from one’s birth chart. For example in my case, since my heart chakra was overly closed by beta blockers and other BP meds, even a bit of Pitta was flaring my Vata in peripherals. However, as I learnt right Asanas/acupressure/mantras for opening my heart chakra, my body became less sensitive to them.

VP Constitution Management

There are two approaches to handle VP constitution…

Approach one of using heavy metals– It is said that purified mercury becomes alive in the body. That is why heavy metals especially mercury fills up gaps in a VP body and allow Pitta/electricity to pass through. However, VP people can use mercury and other heavy metals only when all the chakras are full open in a VP person so that their nano particles travel and get stuck in these spaces to reduce Vata. Those having weak circulation due to low Pitta will not get benefitted by heavy metals and may rather get harmed. This is one reason that those having toxins and Vata in the body (i.e. Vata/kapha imbalance due to low Pitta) are given meds that have both heavy metals as well as pungent and hot/warm spices.

*** Please remember that Ayurveda grinds heavy metals to nano particle size so that these particles get equally distributed in the entire body instead of just a few big particles getting stuck at certain places. In fact, this is the logic of creating extremely thin sheets of silver and gold for coating them on the sweet dishes served in many Indian cuisines. That is why grinding and purification processes mentioned in the classical texts are extremely important to not only purify the metal but also grind it to nano size and must be adhered to else they will create more problems than solutions. The texts also mention of reciting mantras during these processes which may go on for several days even.

Approach two of using Pitta reducing meds–  VP constitution are most prone to diseases like hypertension and other inflammatory issues. Hence they have to take Pitta reducing meds however they should reduce Pitta equally in all the chakras (e.g. by gaba in brain, by Arjuna/beta blocker in heart and by ARBs/coriander etc in stomach/intestine area or by using meds like cannabis or Dhatura which reduce pitta on all three points/houses/chakras) with the aim to close all the chakras equally else it will create problems (e.g. in my case allopathic meds worked primarily on my heart chakra and not brain and stomach). This also means that a healer should check each chakra too while giving meds else it can create problems especially in kalyuga when contemporary science is yet to understand about VPK and their effect on different chakras. So when my Ayurveda doctor used meds to reduce my BP i.e. high VP, he used all these meds/herbs not realising that my heart chakras was already excessively closed which further created more imbalance in me thereby weakening my circulation. Also to note that one cannot keep closing all the chakras forever. The meds have to be stopped at one point of time.

*** There could be times when one may need both the approaches especially in a person where Pitta and Vata both are too high (meaning in the basic constitution itself) characterized by warm skin showing Vata pulse and nature. In such a case apart from lowering Pitta, one may also need heavy metals to fill up space and reduce Vata. That is why medicines like Mahajwarankush uses Cannabis or Datura which reduces pitta of the three points while also pushing mercury.

Seemingly in one of the place I have mentioned that cold and hot should not be used together. However, it is not so. The fact is that if cold is accompanied immediately by hot or vice versa then it will not create any changes in the layers of the body and is fine if someone’s doshas are balanced. This is based on the simple principle of opposite that reverse should be consumed/done immediately or simultaneously. However delay in using the opposite can cause harm unless it is being done for therapeutic purposes e.g. cold is being used to contract back the layers. For example exposure to hot winds should be immediately undone by cold water baths. Astrologically using cold subsequently after hot would mean that ketu deposits on Rahu (Kapha deposits inside already overstretched vessels). Such a condition can be reversed only thru Asana pranayama and lot of patience while consuming cold, astringent herbs and foods (like cannabis/brahmi/jatamansi etc.) along with Triphla (and may be more fiber) to remove the excess Kapha deposited inside the body when it is constricted by these medicines. Please remember that if Triphla is not used then it will not be able to remove excess Kapha and Asanas will become ineffective as Kapha stored in the wrinkles will push back the body outwards. Also note that Triphla if consumed without constricting the body inwards will create inflammation. Ideally Triphla should be used in the night when weather is colder and body is constricted inwards, so that excess Kapha and ama can be removed.

Triphla not only removes excess Kapha and ama by scrapping in a spiral fashion (spirally due to movement of rasa in a spiral fashion in our body as we know by now), it also provides strength to the core by pushing nutrition of its own as well as of the food consumed alongside. It is also warm hence it also settles Vata/tiredness. Hence triphla is considered an excellent rasayana (tonic) especially when Pitta is high (in pitta people and during Pitta season) and one cannot afford hot and sour rasayanas like Chawanprash and Brahmrasyana. True Kapha people may also need Trikatu but with alkalanity to remove kapha from the peripherals. This is because triphla is warm but not pungent hence it cannot go too deep into Kapha. Thus one would need herbs to pierce through kapha deposited in the peripherals at a deeper level so that it can be dissolved and then removed through laxative effect of triphla. However this is to reiterate that it should be accompanied by cold and constricting meds. The next day one must do Asanas to contract body inwards. Please note that once Rasa is converted into Kapha (tissues), then it cannot be pushed into Vata areas of the body to create tissues there. In other words, rasa can get converted into tissues but not the other way round in totality; hence Asanas will become ineffective due to the resistance of deposited kapha to close in the body unless accompanied by the right herbs.

*** Due to scrapping action, Triphla also works very well to remove excess of heavy metals from the body which may be causing exhaustion.

Since high VP pushes Kapha, a VP person would need to eat very balanced food as excess Kapha will narrow vessels and push Pitta whereas excess Pitta will as such push more Kapha. Same goes with excess astringency and bitterness that will push more kapha by reducing circulation and space. On the other hand, less bitterness when needed would push more Pitta in the system and thus more space.

*** One of the biggest mistakes that many of high Pitta people (people with acidity) make during summers is that to reduce Pitta/heat they reduce pungency and potency and take pitta reducing medicines but they do not undo excess sourness in the body which has been created due to excess heat/acidity etc. (This is because acidity creates sourness which in turn expands body cells thereby creating congestion and thus narrowing of blood vessels). Thus sourness keeps narrowing blood vessels (due to congestion) thereby pushing excess Pitta in the body (just the way when a pipe is squeezed, the water gushes with more force through it). This manifests itself in form of excess and smelly sweating etc apart from feeling of acidity, burps, cramps, impulsive approach, insomnia, anger etc. To undo this one must fast with lots of cold sweet, bitter and astringent fruits like pomegranate (at least in one meal).. That is why pomegranate is considered excellent during fever as it beats the heat and kills acidity. Another mistake during summers is consumption of excess proteins (as much as taken during winters) which further generates more acidity and heat. This is because proteins metabolism increases uric acid in the body and therefore in high pitta (heat) conditions one should consume less of proteins and focus more on those things that can provide energy to the body i.e. sugar but with fiber and nutrients as found in fruits. Other summer fruits like mango etc should be consumed with milk to balance mangoes’ pungency and potency

*** Please note that a Yogi who wants to prolong happy and healthy life can use these strategies under normal circumstances too for controlling Rahu/desires especially in VP climates. That is why many households with deep rooted Ayurvedic traditions still use such strategies to control doshas from aggravating. Unfortunately such traditions which were highly prevalent died in most of the families of India as invaders like Mughal and British wiped away this culture because of their inability to understand their deep seated meanings/significance. This is because the invaders came from colder climates of the world and their Prakriti/constitution was not high on VP and therefore neither did they need such traditions nor they had understanding of them which resulted in India becoming higher on VP and thus becoming a capital of heart diseases, hypertension and diabetes arising due to high VP. This is a good enough example which proves that heritage, traditions, culture of a country should never be destroyed else it will create sufferings and diseases (mental as well as physical) which is bound to invite ire of the higher world by pushing the souls of the invaders/wrong doers in very high VP timelines where they will have to undergo sufferings to understand such traditions and re-establish those lost times which may take many lifetimes. Nor own traditions should be imposed on other cultures like introduction of tea/coffee and hot spices in primarily warm climate like that of India was a crime committed by British and Mughal. Going a step back, this also means that colonization (whether at a small or a large scale) is a crime in itself.

However, this is also true that the soul learns only gradually of the difference between wrong and right during its journey to become supersoul (or say merge into it) and then move it its higher destination of super super soul and so on and so forth. That is why such sufferings should not be considered as punishment but redemption once the soul becomes matured. As such this is all part of Maya and the super soul can evolve only when the soul evolves. And when the super soul (world) goes through destruction, it creates destruction of knowledge too thereby pushing the supersoul to begin evolution from a lower level than earlier while seeking help from other more evolved souls. In computer language when the hard disk of a computer is made to reboot due to corruption (wrong practices not in line with righteousness which is bound to affect the other computers too as they all are connected), then subsequently the other computers help in re-establishing the right environment there. This is an ongoing and cyclic process which keeps shifting from one place (computer/world) to another just like the zodiac.

  • When pitta goes too high, it increases kapha in peripherals while weakening core thereby weakening ability to produce enough rasa and blood thereby creating overall weakness. This can be undone only by rest, sleep, colder environment, consumption of cold bitter astringent sweet easy to digest foods like bitter grains, cold spices, moong dal etc.
  • VP people are highly prone to heat wave because their heat sensors are wide open. They should close them with mud packs when weather is too hot (exactly the way animals especially elephants spray mud on them or roll themselves in it). Mud not only closes the pores/heat receptors but also provides essential minerals to the body thereby providing more earth element when VP becomes high in summers. Once core becomes strong and begins to produce good and healthy rasa/blood etc., then slowly increase pitta in peripherals through light asanas like Surya namaskar but only after sufficient rest.
  • High VP people (especially those having it in constitution) may need to close their heart chakra a little (especially during summers) to reduce expansion of the body (if the rest of the strategies donot work), however dependence on closure of heart chakra should be as least as possible as the aim should be close in all chakras through different meds/foods that close in different chakras. Please note that all chakras should be equally closed and closing one chakra more than others will create issues.

  • While excess Rahu (i.e. Rahu in upper houses) due to strong Mars stretches the body and creates overall VP prakriti if this combination comes early in life (growing years), the same goes with Ketu. When a person with Ketu at deep constitution, experiences Rahu dasha in early years of life, it creates VP inside Ketu (i.e. closed body) thereby creating lot of movement (and interneural circuits but in a compact manner unlike first case. The difference in the two is that in former, the brain is VP (overstimulated) whereas in latter it is constricted Kapha (settled). Thus in former, the person will have VP brain but Kapha body due to Vata pushing Kapha (we know that Kapha settles in lower body subsequently). Whereas in latter, the person will have settled brain but VP body. Both are difficult constitution however the first is more difficult as it wavers one’s brain and thus body too due to high VP as brain the CPU of the entire body. Whereas, Ketu minds may become sluggish during their bid to control VP but will not suffer mentally because of a strong CPU.

*** Please remember that Rahu in exulted zodiac (i.e. 9th zodiac of Kapha) will not overall create Rahu energy or say high VP even if in first house. On the other hand, Rahu even in 3rd house but in 3rd zodiac will create high VP in upper body especially thyroid, mouth etc. That’s why Rahu in 9th zodiac (meaning Ketu in 3rd) will create a sturdy body whereas Rahu in 3rd will create a long slender high VP body. Of course a lot will also depend upon the strength of dispositer of Rahu and Ketu e.g. If Rahu is posted in Aries and if its dispositor i.e. Mars is weak then it will not inflate Rahu much.

  • High VP people would always need guidance as long as their VP is high (Rahu period/strong Rahu transit with strong Mars due to transit or dasha or Sun’s transit in first to third zodiac) even if their Saturn is strong. This is because Rahu makes people forget things. It also makes them delusional due to changing circuits. Delusional would also mean inability to remember things.
  • The only way to avoid creation of wrong Prakriti is by not having children by the couple which already has Vikruti in Prakriti (deepest constitution). Since Vikruti increases with age in most of the cases (as with age the blood vessels become narrow), it is better to avoid children especially late children. I would strongly recommend people to consult a good Astrologer cum Ayurvedic healer (the one who has knowledge of both the fields which will surely rise in the coming times). It is also possible that with time genetics will combine with Astrology and Ayurveda for more accurate analysis. Remember, it is a sin to bring an unhealthy child in this world after becoming aware of this fact. In such a case, it’s fine to adopt orphans. This is not to deny parenthood from people. One can go for adoption or procedures like IVF or surrogacy (while using only the healthy parent’s egg or sperm or using both of some other parents after checking their genetics).
  • At a deeper level, vikruti in Prakriti can be avoided only by leading life in line with weather and constitution. For example, when a pregnant lady (usually influenced by husband or may be vice versa) consumes bitter, hot and astringent foods that too in winters then it will create excess Ketu in the child. On the other hand, when the couple consumes hot, pungent and sour foods that too during summers, then it will create an excess Rahu in the child. There could be several other combinations too that could get created from these two cases e.g. if in the former case, the mother subsequently consumes high Pitta foods in summers then such a child will be Ketu in deepest nature but will grow quickly creating Rahu in Ketu. All these can be avoided. However this is also true that a lot depends upon the soul of the child. The soul may be yearning more for VP experiences and thus may not choose such a body.
  • A VERY SIMPLE AND INTERESTING DIAGRAM SHOWING THE EFFECT OF MORE BLOOD FLOW TOWARDS PERIPHERALS AS SHOWN IN RIGHT SIDE VIS-A-VIS MORE FLOW TOWARDS THE INNER BODY (CORE) AS SHOWN IN LEFT SIDE

  • More about Helix/Spiral structures– Science has begun to understand that heart is not just a pump. A closer look clarifies that its muscles are arranged in a helical pattern which ensure a specific direction of Vata (movement) of the contraction of muscles. Thus these helically arranged muscles create contraction and expansion of the heart in a helical manner thereby accepting and pumping blood in a helical fashion (exactly like a bullet moves in a spiral fashion through the barrel of the gun thereby getting proper direction and velocity). We also know by now from the second volume of the book that our body too grows outwards in a helical manner. Hence heart represents the miniature structure of the body. When it expands, it supplies blood to our body parts in a helical manner like an opening lotus whose petals are arranged in a helical manner in Fibonacci ratio (To visualize this I would suggest the readers to watch videos on helical heart).

*** Since rasa moves in a spiral manner, heat/pitta spirals it up and outside and coldness/bitterness spirals it inwards, layer by layer. This is an important visualization to understand how planets, zodiacs and tastes must be working on our body and mind. This also means that we must study the patterns in various foods and herbs to understand their structure and impact on human body and mind.

Everything in the world which grows gradually with time i.e. usually living beings (and not suddenly like rocks that are created by hot lava) at a macro and micro level has a helical (spiral) arrangement at least at the core level (e.g. DNA). This is because anything that grows in a controlled manner would grow from the previous point to the next point and would therefore have a continuity which is best provided by helix as helical structure being compact like a compressed spring imparts density, strength and thus stability to the structure. That is how each cell of the human body (which is microscopic in nature) houses around 6 feet of DNA in a highly compressed form due to Fibonacci sequence. It is this DNA which decompresses/expands to create more DNAs which in turn create more cells by taking energy/food from the mother. Since zodiacs keep exposing these DNAs/cells to different doshas, the structure of DNA too keeps changing thereby creating different doshas in different houses/chakras. This is how density (kapha/vata) differ from one chakra to another.

In fact even human body at the core level has helix type of arrangement in its muscles that provide structure and even direction to the body through their movement (we already read about helical heart above). Within spirals, Fibonacci spiral arrangement is the best as it provides the most compact and dense structure. That is why it is found abundantly in nature. Even the molecules of weather create spiral which we can see in form of whirlwinds at smaller scale and tornadoes at larger scale. However, the fact is that just like light and sound has visible and invisible spectrum, same goes with even spirals in weather. While we can see spirals cyclones which are made up of dozens of tornadoes, the fact is that there are mini whirlwinds around us all the time which we cannot see however they (including the bigger ones) are impacting us all the time on our body especially DNA. These are nothing but spirals created by planets and zodiacs which affect our constitution, our movement, our behaviour and our future.

*** This also means that sudden growth even in a living being is organic in nature and should be avoided as anything sudden is bound to create space/haywireness. Hence as parents we must watch out for such symptoms and contain them immediately by controlling the root cause (usually the pitta which is causing the specific chakra to expand faster). At mental level, extra Vata pitta in mind (hyperactivity) is an indication of organic growth. This can help us avoid creation of wrong Prakriti. On the other hand, stunted growth/sluggishness should be checked by providing more stimulating but less dense foods to avoid creation of wrong Prakriti. Also to note that organic and inorganic growth is a function of weather conditions (controlled by planets as planets alignment in different zodiacs represents time). That is why when weather was too hot and volatile, it resulted in creation of lava, volcanoes, rocks etc and in that era, living beings especially multicellular ones could not have come into existence as only a subtle weather can create healthy and sustainable living beings. On the other hand, patterns especially symmetrical patterns in rocks indicate their formation when weather was relatively more organized and not sudden/volatile.

*** In fact, sudden growth in all forms is bad as it will create excess Vata in the system even if we talk about non physical aspects of life whether it be materialism or spiritualism. That is why excess Rahu is bad as it creates sudden expansion and thus Vata. For example a person or a country or a realm having excess Rahu will suddenly grow materialistically but this will result in gaps/vata manifesting in form of disparity, loopholes in systems/economy resulting in sudden crashes, diseases (mental and physical), pollution, war and much more. This is the reason that Rahu is considered tamed in 9th zodiac as it as a zodiac represents gradual growth. Thus Rahu in 9th and Ketu in 3rd represents that the person will not grow suddenly but will grow gradually while also having the quality of stability (kapha of 9th zodiac).

*** Apart from getting exposed to the big spirals, our body cells (including DNA) also get sequentially subjected to hundreds of mini spirals of weather too which are part of big spirals only. It is this sequence of mini spirals that the cell/DNA gets subjected to, that creates microscopic div charts like D60.

*** Refer to the photo above. It shows that how a conch shell has a helical structure and that too with Fibonacci sequence which is the most optimum way of growth which is neither high on vata nor low on it. This is the reason that sound blown out of conch shell is considered very healthy and removes negativity. This is because sound helps in creating and recreating arrangements of cells in our atmosphere as well as our body thereby undoing excess Vata or less Vata. This is the reason that conch shell is one of the tools held in the hands of Lord Vishnu as it represents the best possible arrangement in the creation. A closer look at the figure can also help us to understand that this arrangement represents smaller waves modulated (mounted) on larger waves which is nothing but different divisional charts modulated on D1 chart. Thus different planetary alignments that create our body’s layers modify this arrangement either for good or bad. This figure is also a replica of figure 9 in the book that represents evolution.

  • We discussed that protein’s metabolism creates Pitta which increases circulation and pushes digested proteins towards peripherals creating stronger muscles and that is why one should avoid too much proteins during summers barring bitter and cold foods with proteins like barley, sorghum etc. Also to reiterate that a vegetarian can easily get enough proteins from his/her diet by consuming whole grains, pulses, milk and its products. If a person is feeling tired during summers, it is because the core has gone weak due to excess activity during hot season. Excess proteins (that too like whey proteins) will create more health issues in such a case.
  • The flow of electricity and EM waves in the body– Physics students know that when electricity passes through something, it also creates electromagnetic flux and lines around it in a circular fashion. Even the wires carrying electricity have EM lines around it. Since human body too has electricity (Pitta) flowing through its body, it is bound to have EM lines too around it. When Pitta passes through muscles fiber, it stretches them thereby providing strength and structure to our body. This is how our body is able to stand even against gravity. This is the reason that when one doesn’t get enough food (especially Pitta foods which create electricity in the body), then one feels tired and feels like lying down as he/she is unable to stand against gravity. Here is a diagram showing how the electricity passes through our body as indicated by dotted lines. The circular lines show EM lines around Pitta.

*** Just like the electromagnetic field of earth protects earthlings i.e. humans and other beings (including non living) from the highly charged particles of EM waves of the Sun, same way even our own electromagnetic field protects us from the EM waves coming from other people and even ethereal beings from piercing into our body and cause distortions. This is the reason that Aura (i.e. EM field) of a person should be strong which is possible only when all the chakras are strong. Since excess VP creates excess space, it is quite easy to understand that excess VP can create gaps/space in between the EM field of the person. That is why people affected by strong Rahu get easily influenced by others (collective conscience) as their EM and thus body (chakras) is pierced easily by others. In scientific terms, when two bodies with their own EM fields interact, they are bound to cause exchange of energies. And the person who has a strong EM field (KP in nature) is bound to affect the EM of VP person easily. This is also the reason that Rahu people get more easily affected by ethereal beings (ghosts etc.). Remember ethereal beings are nothing but packets of energies like those which are transmitted from transmission tower to our TV where we are able to watch the energy of those packets in form of movies etc. The only difference is that these beings are self conscious packets like living beings.

Medicine Section/herb section

  • Triphla– we know that the warmth, astringency and bitterness of Haritaki and Vibhataki remove excess sourness and thus facilitate deeper movement of rasa which not only helps in dissolving plaque (due to warmth) but also keeps the warmth towards the core and strengthens inner muscles due to bitterness thereby helping in excreting the toxins. On the other hand, Amla’s sweetness and sourness with abundant antioxidants and minerals including vitamin c helps in pushing nutrient enriched rasa deep into the hungry cells which were deprived due to swelling. Thus Triphla acts as an excellent scrapping agent when consumed with wholesome food like milk which is why it is an excellent rasayana (tonic) for a long and healthy life. As a thumb rule, all three ingredients of Triphla are used in 1:1:1 ratio which is good as a maintenance dose. Now, we discussed that essential opening of chakras especially heart chakra (through Yogasanas, acupressure, mantras or even exercises) which were closed earlier, is bound to increase Vata aggravation even though it undoes Vata imbalance. In such a case, one would need more sourness. That is the time when one would need to increase ratio of Amla in Triphla (to may be 1:1:2). Someone may question that one can use in Chawanprash however classical formula of chawanprash is quite warm and just not suited for hot weather. On the other hand, if one has consumed excess of cold sourness which may lead to constipation then one may simply need Vibhataki and Haritaki to undo sourness (remember that even these two herbs provide lot of Vitamin C and other antioxidants and minerals).
  • Arjuna– Since Arjuna is cold bitter and astringent, excess of it without warmth and sourness can increase weak thyroid (pitta) and thus Vata in the system especially Vata people resulting in Vata in heart too rendering its effects as useless. Hence unless Pitta is very high, Arjuna should be accompanied by herbs like Ashwagandha. Or when Pitta is ok but sourness is less and circulation is weak resulting in exhaustion etc, then one should take Arjuna with sourness (which could be in form of Arjunarishtam when both VP are low and only with Amla when both VP are high). The sourness in rasa ensures that when blood gets pushed into the coronary artery supplying blood to heart (through Arjuna’s bitter effect), then it expands a constricted heart. One can take Arjuna with lemon too however lemon cannot provide elements like iron etc. which Amla can which is essential for removing Vata. Same goes with other Pitta reducing herbs/foods like Gaba, magnesium etc. That is why spices like cumin do good to the body in summers as they provide Pitta as well as constriction and bitterness. Remember, cold Vata (Saturn) creates stickiness due to weak Pitta flowing through vessels and excess of it results in death. The only way to undo Vata of the body or the specific body part is by having warm and sour foods and pushing blood towards the affected area while also performing Beej mantra of that chakra.

*** If heart has constricted due to low Pitta then Beej Mantra of that chakra may not help fully as Beej mantra will expand the entire chakra whereas what is needed in this case is expansion of a constricted heart. Here acupressure of the heart point will work better along with consumption of a bit of sweet sourness like that of Amla (if need be to fill up a constricted heart).

On the other hand, since it constricts, it is a wonderful medicine for deflating an overinflated body (due to excess sourness and Pitta) which can otherwise cause issues like arthritis and other inflammatory issues as Pitta passes through Vata areas causing pain. This is also the reason that Arjuna is used for treating osteoporosis especially when given alongwith milk to push calcium. Certain formulations also use Bala herb alongwith milk (or other forms of calcium like egg cover which has readily available calcium) to dilate the lower body and increase Kapha there by pushing them from upper body and peripherals so that Vata Pitta and thus excess jatharagni manifesting in acidity can reduce there, which otherwise will inflate the body. This also brings down BP and cures diseases like insomnia and constipation however excess of it can increase Vata towards the brain and peripherals thereby causing insomnia and excess Vata imbalance in the long run. This is why it should be used in moderation and only when needed.

*** We discussed that a medicine can reduce Pitta and break inertia (expansion) however it cannot undo expansion. Expansion can be undone only by right Kriyas, Asanas and Pranayama. That is why Arjuna should be accompanied by Asanas like Shalabhasana, Anahatasana or Naukasana etc. (depending on which part of the body is relatively high on Vata) to push blood towards the overexpanded heart chakra. Remember that pushing rasa towards heart chakra after one has consumed sour and heavy foods to fill up expanded space will be difficult to undo which one would need to eat astringent and light foods.

  • Coriander is excellent for calming down the nervous system and undoing constipation arising due to high Pitta. However the principle of opposite should always be remembered. If Pitta is rising due to high temperature (bhrajak Pitta), then it needs to be undone immediately with cold temperature. Coriander is good to control internal Pitta from running too fast. Remember that coriander leaves are cold and very bitter unlike powder which is pungent too. Hence while the former can be used with different spices basis weather when the aim is to keep the nutrition towards the core which is what bitter does, the latter itself works as a spice due to its pungency. Reiterating that all spices have some warmth which is why they are spices. Hot and cold spices is due to relative heat in them.
  • Onion is hot though bitter unlike coriander etc which is bitter and cold. So those having acidity issues should consume coriander in summers instead of onion else onion is good to go for summers. But onion should be avoided in AC atmosphere else it will increase more Vata due to its bitterness and ability to increase hunger.
  • The herb Jatamansi works more like gaba. It controls and calms down a racing mind. Hence the name where Jata represents the plaited hair of Lord Shiva/saints which control mind/man.
  • Pitta reducing meds in day spirals rasa/kapha down and in the night it pushes kapha inwards. So, both are important depending on one’s needs. If pitta has gone high, then one may need to consume them in day as well as night.
  • Mind and body are a highly evolved computer which learn the real significance of any food only after tasting it. That’s how cravings happen which may be right or wrong for the body. However gradually, as this computer evolves, it learns to differentiate between right and wrong. Since Sahasrar chakra represents higher self which stores all the past memories/experiences of the soul, smelling a food with total awareness before consuming it, does help an evolved soul to analyse whether it is right for her or not. This habit can be seen in animals too. Question may arise that they are not evolved souls. However, the fact is that since they don’t evolve like we humans do (due to ups and downs leading to discoveries and inventions due to our ability to experiment), this is one of the tools which is part of their reflex that most of the humans have forgotten.
  • VP people must use metals but wisely to fill up space.
  • As a thumb rule use laxatives like fennel in summers and warm ones like triphla in winters or when weather becomes relatively colder. Triphla is good when temperature drops down suddenly as it removes excess Kapha from the body. These strategies can be used by all in case the aim is to control Rahu (high VP/desires).
  • Ayurvedic meds are warm and alkaline. The problem comes when either the doctors don’t tell patients to avoid more warm foods alongwith such medicines or patients don’t listen to them, thereby resulting in adverse reactions.
  • Arjuna for VP people– Since beta blockers in the long run increase VP by closing in heart chakra and thus increasing VP of peripherals, VP People using Arjuna after years of use of beta blockers may need to do acupressure of heart point to provide pitta to the heart for balancing the entire axis. Arjuna controls the inertia. So when a body starts expanding when a closed heart chakra begins to open, then there would be times when Pitta would go too high thereby inflating Vata in the peripherals. During those times one would need Arjuna to avoid Pitta from piercing through Vata/hollowness. During such times one would also need Pitta reducing meds of the other chakras like brahmi/gaba for first/second and bala/coriander for fifth. It is important to understand that when Pitta is high in VP then they may need astringent and cold foods however when they begin to open their chakra which is causing high VP in peripherals, then they would need foods in line with Vata pyramid to fill up the space in peripherals which earlier was causing congestion in heart (especially due to sweetness).
  • Arjunarishtam- This Arishta apart from Arjuna (as the largest ingredient) also contains good amount of black raisins. Together with other cooling herbs, it not only ensures that more blood goes towards the heart to strengthen it but it also provides more essential minerals like iron, magnesium, potassium alongwith sourness to ensure that body doesn’t constrict towards the heart. Instead it opens up and stretches the vessels (due to sourness, minerals and vitamins) including the heart while directing Vyana Vata towards the heart (when it had opened up outwards).
  • Ashwagandha– the medicine literally means horse’s smell and rightly so as it develops strength but more towards the core of the body thereby strengthening Ketu which is the quality of horses (refer to explanation of Ashwini Nakshtra in the book and its attachment of excel sheet). Thus this medicine is good for those people whose Rahu has pushed the rasa outside. However being warm, it should either be consumed during colder weather or should not be accompanied by hot and pungent spices at all especially in those people whose Vata and Pitta both are high. Vata people can consume it comfortably.
  • Ashwagandharishtam– Apart from Ashwagandha as the largest ingredient, this Arishta also uses many other herbs like Arjuna (to keep the heart strong when Pitta increases and stretches the body internally), Trikatu (to dissolve ama and excess Kapha), calming and alkaline herbs (like sandalwood) to ensure that Pitta doesn’t boil rasa nor it increases acidity and alkaline laxatives (like Trivit) to throw out ama and byproducts of metabolism. Thus, this medicine increases internal strength and removes weakness of the body. However, please note that unlike Arjunarishtam, its primary effect is on increasing internal Pitta.
  • Vaccination– Vaccine has given protection to humans from so many dreaded diseases. Vaccine’s task is on the most dominating dosha of a specific region. For example if vata especially of a specific part of body is causing disease due to a specific virus or other pathogen, then a vaccine to increase Pitta especially of that body part would help to undo vata of that area thereby defeating the pathogen. That is why vaccine works on the collective conscience/dosha of a group. This is the reason that while a specific vaccine will be successful in most of the people, it will cause adverse issues in some. This also means that different regions may need different variants of vaccine. And a vaccine should be tested on people from different regions to understand its effect before it is released for widespread use on the population to boost immunity.
  • More about PPIs– Acidity may not just manifest as burning in stomach and may do so in several forms like peptic ulcers, burning in stomach, piles, GERD (when acid travels into our throat), sour burps, insomnia, weakness, anxiety, nervousness, loss of temper, muscle cramps and swelling etc. In fact by now we understand that acidity is the main reason for increase in heart failures and organ failures. While PPI may give relief however, the biggest problem of PPI is that like many other allopathic medicines, they too just mask the symptoms without removing the root cause. Acidity arises when Pitta goes too high and expands rasa towards peripherals which weakens the core and creating Vata and loss of Kapha. Absence of Kapha in the stomach results in HCL of the body burning its own skin causing pain and burning. In such a case what is needed is to cut down totally on Pitta (hot potency) and consume cold potency alkaline foods and vegetables e.g. in summers one would need to consume bottle gourd, ridged gourd, round gourd, ash gourd, cucumber, pumpkin and their juices along with less proteins so that Pitta goes down and rasa settles down thereby restoring normal function. Now, PPIs reduce/stop production of HCL thereby giving a temporary feeling of relief to the user and in the bargain the user continues to use the hot potencies. This results in builds up of excessive heat in the body which manifests in diseases as mentioned above.
  • Pain killers– This is to reiterate that whenever we consume generic painkillers for local pains (which is usually the case), then we begin inviting atherosclerosis/arteriosclerosis due to thickening of blood leading to Vata and Kapha imbalance and thus hypertension etc. taking us into a vicious circle of more and more medicines. That is why local pain must be handled only with local solutions like turmeric paste (which reduces swelling by reducing Pitta due to high astringency and bitterness). Warmth of turmeric invites blood while keeping it thin to heal the area. Quite similar is the case with licorice (astringent and bitter) which is more suitable for those having high Pitta. Even internal consumption of turmeric helps as it improves blood flow in those having excess sourness and Pitta which is the reason for higher sensation of pain. That is why people in ancient times rarely used to get high BP because they were no pain killers. Astrologically those entering Jupiter and having strong Sun, Mars and Venus in their chart are likely to have more sourness and thickness of blood in their body. For such people turmeric is a very good option.
  • Pearl/Counch etc– It is important to remember that pearl and counch should not be used indiscreetly else they can create excess of calcium in the body resulting in weaker circulation due to blocked Pitta (a form of unhealthy alkalosis). Acidity arises when Vata goes too high in the stomach/intestines which gets easily inflated by even normal Pitta resulting in generation of acid and thus sourness and swelling etc which further inflates Pitta leading to a loop. To undo this, one needs pitta however since Pitta inflates high Vata, one should use calcium carbonate in conjunction with Pitta herbs/spices and wholesome sweet foods so that antacid keeps neutralizing the acid produced (especially due to metabolism and assimilation of protein) thereby ensuring that no loop is created and the body begins to expand with kapha and not with vacuum.

*** Spices for killing pain/cramps/burning etc- Those having high VPK leading to pain cannot afford much of turmeric if VPK is their basic constitution (we discussed that one cannot go against constitution). Such people can consume boiled cumin which dissolves kapha (especially ama) thereby widening blood vessels thereby reducing Vata and Pitta while also improving circulation. That is why boiled cumin is a wonderful thing for reducing peripheral pains (remember pain killers only reduce pitta but they don’t dissolve Kapha leading to health issues as discussed above). On the other hand, if one is having burning in the core then mint will do good and not boiled cumin whereas if there is pain like cramps or heaviness due to excess eating then roasted fennel will help and not cumin or mint. If VP is not high but Kapha is high then one can consume ginger instead of fennel. If one has consumed excess of cold and heavy food (like milk and ghee/cream) then triphla is a better option. Those having enough or excess and cold rasa in their body can instead have black pepper to burn it however those with less rasa (when born near no moon) should have milk/ghee with triphla. All in all, every spice has a different function. That if one has balanced doshas then one may use all of them in moderation in a meal depending upon weather conditions.

Therapeutics

  • How an affectionate Hug releases dopamine– An affectionate hug is known to increase Dopamine in the brain- a chemical which calms down the body and mind. This is because affectionate hug is always between two energies that are opposite (complementary) to each other (opposite houses). Thus when two people with opposite doshas (which are complementary in nature) embrace each other then it creates energy flow thereby calming down their aggravated doshas which in turn optimizes their blood circulation in the body and brain leading to Kapha flowing at a very optimal level. Here is an example. When a Kapha person (with 9th zodiac in first house) hugs Vata Pitta person (3rd zodiac in first house), which are opposite to each other in a birth chart, then it calms down the excess Pitta and Vata of the one with 3rd This deflates an overinflated body at a quantum level thereby calming down entire body and thus brain (resulting in release of dopamine). In other words, the kapha energy of first person gets distributed into the other person’s body too during the processing of hug. On the other hand, high VP of the 3rd zodiac pushes into the Kapha body thereby improving the circulation of the person with 9th zodiac in first house which settles Vata Kapha imbalance to again release dopamine. Goes without saying that this phenomenon is not confined to hug but it is also applicable to sexual union.

This is the reason that we must take into account birth charts of the marrying couple to see if their energies will complement each other or not. Going one step deeper, one should also check the quality of the lord of these opposite houses and the other planets posted there or aspecting them. While first and seventh houses energies are most important aspects to look at, the fact is that we would need to look at other houses and their energies too for holistic understanding. For example, an excessively closed or open heart chakra will alter the energy of 1st and 7th house too (because energies of kendra houses affects each other the most).

  • Religious Significance of fasting and how it invokes energy of nine Goddesses– High Pitta and Kapha (Mars) provide physical strength and energy to the native however they also create inertia and inability to slow down and reflect which is essential to differentiate between wrong and right. In other words, the native with strong Mars gets carried away by the collective conscience and also affects it through its high KP. There comes the role of fasting which reduces Kapha and Pitta and thus slows down the person thereby inducing Saturn (Vata), Mercury (VPK) and Ketu (inward Kapha). When kapha is reduced the primary energy of the body which regulates conscience (i.e. kundalini) starts rising up through different chakras of the body as lightness enables it to rise up thereby allowing information stored in the mooladhara chakra to rise higher (we discussed that information carries mass and hence it gets stored in the lower chakras). Thus, fasting with right foods not only rises kundalini but also enables the native to understand the deeper meaning of knowledge stored in the body by slowing down. As kundalini rises, it spreads the knowledge earlier stored in the mooladhara chakra throughout the entire body.

*** The Nine avatars of Devi Parvati symbolizing nine goddesses represent different levels of kundalini awakening. This is why during Navratris one must fast but with root vegetables (kand mool) which keep providing complex carbohydrates to provide energy to the body while also reducing excess Kapha from the body (because of very less of proteins and fats). By fasting on such foods, Vata increases and helps one to slow down thereby reducing Pitta and inducing spiritual awakening. This also means that Vata people should not fast as they are already reflective in nature and further increase in Vata will create health issues in them. However, once Vata is totally settled in them through right foods then off and on they must fast to stay on course. Please note that during fasting one must not increase Pitta (through stimulating foods/spices, exercises etc) else Pitta will pierce through Vata (hollowness) and create health issues including over stimulation of mind. Instead one should meditate and spend time in quietness to reflect on self. The scriptures say that eighth avatar of Devi Parvati, the goddess becomes dark and frail. This is because of increased Vata after fasting. However this state pleases Lord Shiva. This is because it is Vata only which can induce introspection which ultimately can connect dots and take us closer to Shiva (with the help of Saturn, Mercury and ketu).

  • Meditation/mode of knowledge for different constitution– A person who is high on Pitta definitely needs to close eyes to reduce Pitta and calm down mind. However, a person who is already low on Pitta is already in a sort of meditative state even with open eyes. That is why even mode of meditation can be different for different people. For example, when my Sadhak Pitta reduced significantly due to meds, Asana, nasya therapy etc. resulting in good Kapha in brain, then I could visualize things better with open eyes and not closed eyes. Closed eyes used to shut down my mind totally. Another point is that a person low on Pitta but high on Vata needs discussion or verbal teaching to understand a concept whereas a person high on Pitta and Vata needs quiet modes like books to grasp a concept. This is why people high on Saturn and Moon but weak on Mars find it difficult to read but are more comfortable through classes/discussions etc.
  • Mantras and Sound – It is so fascinating that different planetary names in Sanskrit create exactly that effect in the body which is corresponding to their energy e.g. recitation of “Shani” closes in our master chakras i.e. the upper three chakras (feel it before proceeding). Interestingly the word “Shhhh” represents quietness which quietens our brain and throat (the master chakras that govern the entire body) thereby slowing us down which is what the job of Shani is- to slow down us. Same goes with different zodiac names in Sanskrit. Similarly, the word Mangal reverberates and expands the upper chakras including heart thereby opening all the chakras and so on. Even the words which signify different houses seem to vibrate that house by increasing the corresponding energy e.g. Pitah (father) increases Pitta, Bhratah increases reverberation in throat chakra (third house) as Bhratah is brother which is the significator of third house. The word “Abhay” expands our throat and heart chakra making us fearless which is what Abhay means. This explains that how matured and scientific is Sanskrit and to some extent the languages that were born from it (though not as much as Sanskrit itself). Another example of Sanskrit’s scientific approach is the word “Bhagwan” (God in English) itself where “Bh” represents Bhoomi (earth), “Ga” represents Gagan (sky), “Va” represents Vayu (air), “Aa” represents Agni (fire) and “Na” represents Neer (water), which means that Bhagwan represents all the five elements or say HE is present in all the elements of the Universe (we already discussed that how HE is present in all the particles of Universe). Going a step ahead, pronunciation of this word will vibrate all the chakras starting from top to bottom.

This also explains the logic of many “so called” meaningless words used in certain Sanskrit shlokas like “phat” for achieving different objectives in conjunction with other words. This doesn’t mean that words of other languages cannot be used to create Mantras because every word has a specific impact on different chakras or micro-chakras. However, the point is that Sanskrit is phonetically the most versatile language (there are so many sounds which are not there in many languages of the world including English e.g. while English has 26 alphabets, Sanskrit has double of it which is why most of the English speaking people cannot pronounce many a words of Sanskrit/Hindi as they are missing from the wiring of the their brain right from the childhood. This is again not to demean any language or people or country. We all must understand that there were no separate religions and even language during the war of Mahabharata times post which when things including literacy and civilization started from almost a scratch then different people (scattered haywire in bits and pieces due to the war) interpreted and read the same thing/script/language slightly differently thereby creating branches and sub branches (and so on) of different culture, traditions and civilizations. This is how ONENESS was lost after the war of Mahabharata.

In other words, Sanskrit was the language of the entire world and so were the Vedic traditions. They were not confined to India. They belonged to each and every walking person on earth. This is also the reason that certain words of different languages have similar pronunciation and meaning with that of many a words of Sanskrit. This is also to say that if we all wish to go back to Satyuga then we must go back to the concept of ONENESS on earth through ONE WORLD and ONE GOVERNEMNT while essentially adopting Vedic wisdom and traditions. This is to reiterate here that Vedas teach us the righteous way of living and have nothing to do with rigid religions of Kalyuga.

*** Most importantly everything in this world at the quantum level is made up of sound (strings of vibration) which is already proven by string theory in the current era through Vedas have already mentioned about Naad (we discussed this earlier). That is why Mantras work more at quantum level (i.e. Sukshma Shareer meaning quantum body) whereas Yogasana, pranayama, food and kriya etc work more at physical level (Sthool Shareer i.e. the physical body). Thus if one has issues at deepest level like at D60 or D120 level, then it means that the native’s deepest energies (i.e. at ether level) need re-alignment which can be done only by Mantras. However this is also true that energies at quantum level do have gradual impact on physical level and vice versa. That is why Ayurveda also talks about Bhoot chikitsa (where bhoot means ether which is quantum energy that cannot be seen). Thus these diseases are caused due to energy manipulation by the ethereal beings (invisible energies in the world in different forms) and may need different Tantra, mantra and yantra for curing/treating the disease.

*** Recital of “Namah Shivay” retracts and shrinks the cells inwards which is good for those who are overstimulated and thus swollen at quantum level (which if high will be visible at physical level too). On the other hand “Aum Namah Shivay”, expands the person first or say pushes out the rasa (due to Aum) and then shrinks it in peripheral position itself but without pulling it backwards (due to Namah Shivay). This is good when there is excess Kapha stuck inside core (Jupiter and Venus stored inside Saturn) resulting in a closed and heavy feeling which is seen when one has wakes up from the sleep after consuming heavy meal in the night.

  • Khechari Mudra is an excellent technique to calm down an over-spaced/ overstimulated body and mind. In this mudra, the tongue is rolled upwards and inwards to initially touch the upper palate and then gradually to the extreme back of the upper palate. This helps to reduce excess space created in the brain stem which is right behind the tongue which in turn helps to go easily into meditative mode.
  • When exercise increases pitta and pushes rasa in outward direction. It creates tamas inside rajas. Such people refuse to listen except those who influence them closely. Only yoga can pull back rasa inwards.
  • Forward bending while sitting i.e. Paschimotasana, is good for opening body especially heart chakra if overly closed however forward bends if done incorrectly can cause injury especially to back. This is because most of us think that we must keep our legs fully stretched while doing such bends. However it is not so. The aim should be to push rasa away towards peripherals (all around). For that it’s fine to keep the legs slightly bent so that the back muscles do not get overstretched and damaged. However, after holding the toes during “forward bend” position, one should stretch in such a way that rasa moves away from heart towards upper and lower torso. During the act of stretching, one may stretch the legs too but only to the extent where the back doesn’t get overstrained/ overstretched.
  • When we sleep in AC environment after battling day’s warmth we pull back rasa (which has risen above and in peripherals) more towards upper inner body due to prostate posture. This creates problems. That is why ideally our environment should not change suddenly. Instead, if one is forced to use AC, then it should be continuous though ideal will be to avoid it by having foods in line with weather though in very harsh conditions, it may not be possible to stay without AC/water coolers/water heaters etc.
  • This is to reiterate that it’s fine to consume moderate amount of tea/coffee in cold weather/AC conditions with the aim to keep the circulation going.
  • Exercising after consuming wrong/heavy/junk/sticky foods pushes plaque towards peripherals thereby weakening the core especially heart. Exercising hard is not the answer to wrong eating habits. Only right foods can undo the harmful effects of wrong foods.
  • Shalabhasana is good when one needs to increase rasa in the entire first to seventh house axis and cannot do headstands. However one may need to do a bit of bhujangasana once in a while to direct Apana vata else it may cause toxin build up.
  • Mudras that constrict body should be done only with empty stomach else they will not benefit as food will keep pushing the rasa towards peripherals. Same goes with Asanas.
  • When rasa/blood is hot then never do exercise else it will push pitta in deeper parts of body and skin causing inflammation (internal and external).
  • When one pulls one’s both ears, it pulls apart and expands both the hemispheres of the brain thereby creating space and reducing Kapha and thus inter-neural circuits. The point on earlobe also acts as acupressure point to increase Pitta in brain. That is why it is a good exercise for those who have excess and constricted Kapha in the brain characterized by sluggishness/inactivity (i.e. Ketu brains with Jupiter). This is the reason that people with very sluggish and closed minds (introverts) should wear heavy earings that pull their ears down to pull apart both the hemispheres of the brain while also pressing the points (simple piercing won’t help). On the other hand, those who already have space (Vata) in the brain characterized by stimulated/excited minds should not do it (or made to do) else it will further stimulate them causing health issues. All in all, “different folks different strokes” is applicable for all things whether it be food, Asana, Pranayama, acupressure and so on.

Diseases

Diabetes

When one has VP (rahu) in the stomach area, it pushes excess Kapha (ketu) in the peripherals including the brain. Thus such people retain lot of Kapha due to Ketu however due to Kapha in their CPU/brain, they don’t feel much of pain/inflammation in their stomach area (or settle it with antacids). Also to give a kick to their dull brain, they continue to consume hot stimulants like tea/coffee which further burns their gut area thereby pushing even more Kapha towards the brain. This not only creates excess Kapha in the body and congests it thereby creating insulin resistance (as insulin is unable to penetrate excess kapha) but it also weakens the ability of gut to produce enough insulin thereby pushing one to consume insulin through injections and medicines like medicines like metformin to reduce insulin resistance. Unfortunately neither hits the root cause and therefore such people end up developing severe inflammation of gut and other complications arising due to excess sugar in the blood. Such cases can be handled/reversed by removing the root cause first (i.e. foods and drinks that increase acidity in gut) and by consuming drinks like juices of gourd family early morning. To push Kapha from upper to lower body, such people need to do right asanas like cobra pose and forward bending (in sitting position) i.e. paschimuttarasana but with total awareness of pushing the rasa in the desired direction. To remove ama (which has become so due to stagnated Kapha) stuck in channels due to reduced movement, one should use triphla.

Paralysis

When one has lot of VP (space) in the deep constitution, however with passage of time (due to age or foods/medicines etc) Pitta drops down then it is bound to create pure Vata in the body (space but without flow of Prana/Pitta). This leads to paralysis especially in those areas of the body where Vata is already high as Pure Vata means just existence. Mild massages (with sesame based oils) of the entire body with special emphasis on the affected area do help such people to improve circulation and thus get rid of paralysis. Even slowly performed Surya namaskar will help such cases (if they can do it). However it is wrong to perform vigorous massages of such people. This is because it will increase too much of Pitta and accumulate more Vata and thus VP (and more space). This may also lead to death of the physical body as excess space may lead to sudden cardiac arrest though from spiritual viewpoint, this may be a way to liberate one from the sufferings. This goes true for all VP diseases for example when pure Vata goes high in the brain and Pitta is low, then it leads to Alzheimer’s. High Pitta diet/massages/surya namaskar can alleviate Alzheimer’s but not only it can create cardiac arrest but excess of it may also create Parkinsons.

*** By now you would have realized that high VP is reason for most of the chronic and debilitating diseases in the world. Astrologically excess Rahu/desires creates it. Spiritually when the soul decides to expand too much in just one lifespan itself, then it creates such issues. That is why ancient scriptures say that Jwara (fever) is the reason for most of the debilitating diseases because fever is nothing but high VP. Here fever doesn’t mean high body temperature but it means excess warmth in the body/skin which is usually displayed as VP pulse (fast moving snake). Please note that while type 2 diabetes may appear as debilitating to the observer, it is not so for the patient as high kapha blocks Pitta in such cases thereby numbing the area but without causing pain.

Astrology

  • Moon’s position and Name– Since moon’s position represents the mind of the soul basis which she takes birth in a specific body in the web of maya, Vedic astrology names the native basis Moon’s Nakshtra at the time of birth as name itself can reveal the mind of the soul. On the other hand, Sun’s position represents that which part of the body/aspect will get maximum power. So while Moon tells what soul wants to do, Sun tells where the soul will get maximum strength. We can use this principle easily for other planets too.
  • Going deeper into Mahadashas– We already discussed that Mahadashas represent inward or outward movement of Rasa representing Rajas, Tamas or Sattva which is why position of Moon (which controls movement and direction of Rasa in our body) in the birth chart represents which Mahadasha the native will be into. Briefly this is how it goes… Sun increases Pitta and begins the cycle of stimulation i.e. Rajas which further increases during Mars and then highest at Rahu. The space created by Rajas gets filled up during Jupiter’s phase which is the cooling phase. And then begins the inward period of Saturn which creates Tamas that goes on in mercury and ketu period. Like Jupiter, Venus too is an expanded planet but with Pitta stored in it unlike Jupiter which is cool however both fall in the category of Sattvic planets.

The next question that should come up is that why the same sequence of planetary Mahadashas gets repeated after every four months/zodiacs. For example, if one has Moon in the beginning of first zodiac and the second one has Moon in the beginning of fifth zodiac then both will have Moon in constellation/nakshatra owned by Ketu even though both the constellations are different. This would mean that both the people will start their life with Ketu mahadasha however Moon in different constellation in both the cases would mean maximum rasa (and thus other tissues) at different levels of the body. In simple words, three different sets of zodiacs (1-4, 5-8 and 9-12) represent placement of Rasa at different chakras of the body which is why Moon’s placement at the time of birth in a specific constellation conveys signatures of the soul. This is the reason that Vedic Astrology considers Moon’s placement so important.

  • How a planet’s movement accumulates its corresponding dosha over a period of time- The number of cycles that a planet completes in a birth chart represents the amount of accumulation of the dosha corresponding to that planet in the body in addition to that dosha which already existed in one’s system at the time of birth. The corresponding planetary period (mahadasha) adds more to that dosha. While quantification of this concept is difficult to visualize at this stage however it is not difficult to understand this concept in principle. For example, if Rahu completes three cycles in one’s birth chart (we know that one cycle of Rahu takes 18 years) then it means that the person would have accumulated VP (space) equivalent to 54 years, in the body. This is over and above the space that the person would have been born with which can be seen in one’s chart plus and what he/she will accumulate due to Mahadasha of that planet. Thus this fact is in line with the previous statement made in the first book that while planets represent fully made doshas, zodiacs represent conditions that create those doshas. However, it doesn’t mean that one is born with a specific dosha/planet in fully formed state. It happens over a period of years as mentioned above in this para.

For example, in my chart, Saturn (fully developed Vata dosha in my heart) got made slowly and gradually though it started right from the beginning of life. Similarly, Sun in my brain developed due to disciplining done at my home and Army which then became a way of life until Saturn became very strong in my chart (especially in Saturn Mahadasha) to tame Sun. However, it is equally important to understand that a dosha can negate the effect of its opposite dosha which goes true for even planets for example, Rahu and Saturn work opposite to each other. This concept can help us understand that which dosha will become how much dominant resulting its expression to what an extent at different stages of life.

  • Birth chart in Engineer’s language– Even if people enter in the same circuit at the same time (which can be visualized as Kalpurush chart of a specific day), their point of entry differs making them totally different from each other because different points of entry change the energies of their different body parts. For example a person entering from first zodiac in the same chart will have different nature and character from a person entering from seventh zodiac in the same chart because both will have different doshas sitting in the brain. Not only that but each point in the circuit too will have different dosha from the previous or the next point thereby again changing the entire future of the person. This explains the logic divisional charts in engineer’s language.
  • EM Connection between zodiac and its lord– The connection between a zodiac and its lord can be visualized as a channel (physical as well as electromagnetic though at quantum level even EM is physical). These channels can also be visualized as gateways that connect different houses by virtue of being zodiacs and their lords. Thus, if a person has Leo zodiac in the first house with Sun sitting in the 12th zodiac, then this person’s pitta will push him/her to immediately jump to the matters of 12th (i.e. past etc) while quickly moving through the rest of the houses. This also indicates that whenever zodiac Leo will become strong (due to movement of Sun in Leo), then it will further hasten this connection thereby almost bypassing the rest of the houses resulting in jumping to conclusion. We may also say that this way Pitta/information will move backwards. Please remember that this example was for Sun. Different planets will yield different results depending upon what they represent. Also the strength of the planet will matter in deciding the speed of movement of that dosha.
  • Why different motions of planets get different strength (shadbala) – We discussed that the earth is surrounded by planets which exert EM effect on it. Now visualize that when a planet goes retrograde, it apparently starts moving closer towards the earth (refer figure below). That is why its EM influence increases (similar to increase in pitch and frequency of horn of an approaching car) and its corresponding dosha goes even deeper into the body and mind of the affected native. This is the reason that retrograde planets are considered strongest. The same goes when earth is fast approaching the planet. This is the reason that retrograde and fast direct motion are given highest marks while calculating shadbala. If we understand this principle, it is easy for us to understand all the motions and strength assigned to them e.g. a planet moving very fast but away from the earth (i.e. towards the next sign) then it is bound to weaken the EM strength of the planet.

*** This means that a retro planet in its own zodiac becomes even stronger or say exerts that dosha even stronger. On the other hand it severely and adversely affects that zodiac in which it debilitates. Conversely it has a positive effect on the zodiac where it exults. Since, a retro planet in one’s chart represents a very deep seated dosha, it could be attributed to one’s intricate connection with a person or attribute starting from past lives. This could be because of burning desire (good or bad) of the soul from the previous lives or because of very strong karmic bandhan (entanglement).

  • Understanding divisional charts from spirals– We discussed that different weather conditions create movement of rasa in the body in the shape of spirals going up or coming down. Now we know that the size of these spirals is bound to differ during different weather conditions. For example, during summers this spiral will rise and enlarge in size due to expanding rasa. On the other hand during winters this spiral is bound to contract inwards. These spirals get affected also by influence of planets and daily fluctuations during night and day. Thus, we can visualize that there would be spirals inside spirals which is what create different div charts. The interesting part is that each spiral will still have 12 parts attributed to different aspects of life. Thus all spirals can be visualized as a series of concentric circles which even if different in sizes have their corresponding houses connected to each other shown as under (smallest spiral is innermost circle which also represents the innermost doshas of the person at the quantum level whereas outermost circle represents gross body.

*** Outer the circle, higher the age it represents. However, the effect of houses of inner circle remains connected to corresponding house of the outer circle (and thus affecting other houses too). That is why shadbala checks planetary strength from so many charts. We have already discussed other aspects.

  • The cause and effect relationship between D1 and Divisional charts– Think of a person who decides to drive a new car (like the soul driving her vehicle i.e. the body). It is quite natural that the person’s abilities/experience of driving the previous car in the previous terrain and circumstances will rule the senses of that person while driving the new one. Not only that but even this is also a fact that the person is likely to choose a specific new car basis the previous experiences and energies in him/her. Thus, we see a cause and effect relationship between past and present choices. This example can easily be visualized for divisional and D1 charts. Not only the divisional charts which are embedded (or derived from) in D1, exhibit the tendencies of the person (due to previous lives), in terms of energies of different planets and zodiacs placed in different houses. but the reverse is also true. That, it is all the divisional charts put together that create a specific D1 with specific degrees of planets, zodiacs and their placements.

Here is an example. Think of a person who has been driving a racing car as profession however because of certain experiences (which could be an accident of self thereby causing physical restriction or accident of partner/passer-by or financial reasons or age slowing down etc.).  he/she decides to change his profession and thus move to a routine (non-racing) car (another example could be a person stepping down from an SUV to a smaller car due to change in job or even country). Not only that, the person would now be driving the car in different conditions. Not just the engine and size of the car but the two cars will have different features too. All in all, the person will be exposed to different sets of conditions now which can be visualized as different houses e.g. different gear system, different terrains, different weather conditions, different visibility, different road conditions, different traffic rules, different density of vehicles on the roads, different navigation system and so on. In such a case, he is highly likely to drive even the smaller car at a higher speed and higher acceleration due to previous energies/tendencies (Mars type in this case from Astrological sense) unless situations slow him down gradually to teach the right way of driving the smaller car or routine car. Thus, this person’s previous tendencies represent divisional charts whereas the new route and car taken represents the D1 which is why Shadbala which represents collective planetary strength from the most important Divisional charts is so important.

  • More about the Fifth house– We know that the 12 houses have been divided into three groups of four houses each. On the other hand, Vedas have divided life in four stages i.e. Brahmcharya (life from birth till such time one doesn’t get married while passing through student stage etc.); Grihasth (domestic life where one is married, becomes a parent and earns livelihood for self and family); Vaanprasth (where one hands over the reins of livelihood to the next generations and moves into quietness to introspect the past and segregate good from bad so that the same can be conveyed to the next generation for continuous improvement of family and thus society thereby helping the soul to get Sanyasa/moksha from the current realm and relations by getting rid of karmic entanglements so that she can move into the higher realm. Here, the first three stages represent the three groups of the birth chart (Sanyasa is the last stage of total surrender which cannot be attributed any house).

Thus, the fifth house represents primarily, the Dharma on material front where focus is more on Arth and Karma (economy and work) which are part of Grihasth Ashram. When we activate the fifth house (through means like its Beej Mantra), it joins the chords with the energies of our previous generations specific to Arth and Karma which is the most intense period. However, this is also true that it may take us towards materialism which is essential for Spiritual growth. This is because a strong fifth house represents a strong digestive fire and assimilation thereby ensuring that the person remains alive which in turn ensures that he/she keeps learning more about life not only on the front of Grihasth but also on Brahmcharya and Vanprasth. This is because life is a circle and any growth on one front is bound to give growth on other front through ups and downs.

*** The UNIVERSE has a clear fundamental. If the soul refuses to follow the rule of giving back the teachings from her existing life to the society which happens primarily due to overindulgence, then the Universe pushes the soul in such a timeline in coming lives where it is forced to give back to the society all her learnings of the past lives too thereby settling her past karmas. That is why it is always better to follow the Vedic traditions to avoid over accumulation of karmas. However, this is also true that as the soul matures, it becomes more aware towards her responsibility of giving back to the society with higher awareness of difference between good and bad. This also explains free will but its ramifications too if not followed responsibly.

  • When planetary periods of such planets begin which own two houses then which of the two houses gets active at what time. The answer lies in understanding the energies of different zodiacs of the same planet (for example first zodiac represents inner mars and 8th zodiac represents outer Mars) and various factors that strengthen them at different points of time. Here are a few of them with Mars period as an example. So, when Mars period is ON then:-
  • winters/ nights would strengthen inner mars and summers will strengthen the outer.
  • transit of Mars in inner houses will strengthen internal and in outer will strengthen external.
  • Next planetary period also determines whether it is inward or outward e.g. after Mars-Mars comes Mars-Rahu. Rahu is outwards. Thus while during Mars-Mars first zodiac will be more active however during Mars-Rahu period, the 8th zodiac may become more active.
  • Even the zodiac where the concerned planet is posted matters because it determines the influence on that planet which in turn determines whether planet’s energies will be outwards or inwards e.g. if Mars is posted in 11th zodiac then it automatically means activation of inner mars more than outer as 11th zodiac i.e. MT sign of Mars will as such keep Mars energy inwards.

*** The above para is a food for thought for the astrologers and there could be many more factors.

  • Why the third house is considered as the house of the younger sibling– From Kaalpurush chart angle, third house is by default higher on VP with respect to the first (Gemini owns third house in kaalpurush). Second is not considered because second from Kaalpurush chart has Kapha spread in all directions (we discussed this), hence it cannot be younger sibling because younger sibling by default is higher on Vata as compared to first as the channels of parents are bound to get narrower with progression of time which ultimately create the child.
  • Even, debilitated planets have some advantages e.g. debilitated moon makes one learn lots of things even though the person becomes jack of all traders but master of none. At soul level, this life of soul may be for choosing one of the options in the next life, out of many experienced in this.
  • THE GOLDEN RULE FOR RESTORING HEALTH (mental and physical)- It’s not only the planet that debilitates in a specific  Itis the zodiac too that debilitates due to that planet. This is a golden rule for healing people. Here is why. We discussed that energies of different zodiacs compliment the energy of the corresponding house e.g. the heat of first (aries) zodiac in first house is complimented by coolness of fourth zodiac (cancer) in fourth house by calming it down. This means that an enemy planet posted in a specific zodiac will destroy the complimentary energy of that house for that native thereby creating adverse circumstances. That is why a healer’s primary task should always be to create energies in line with the zodiac posted in a specific house by removing the ill effects of a wrong planet posted there (if so). For example, in my case, my aim should have been to remove Saturn/Vata from my fourth house (better to not let it form only) so that Aries could work properly to push blood through the basic fabric of Vata Kapha sitting in my first house (my first house has Capricorn which is my deepest fabric and Capricorn is Vata Kapha which needs to be pierced through by Aries/Pitta as Pitta is needed for Vata Kapha imbalance). Also to note that since Aries represents inner Mars, the aim in this case should be to undo Vata by pushing Pitta from the core of the heart chakra i.e. the heart itself with the help of remedies like acupressure of heart point and other techniques as mentioned in the excel sheet.

On the other hand, if one has a strong Saturn sitting in 8th zodiac then one would need massages of the peripherals as here 8th zodiac which represents outer Mars is getting weak due to Saturn/Vata. The placement of the 8th zodiac will decide which part of the peripheral would need massages to remove Saturn from there though Saturn in 8th zodiac is not that bad as it is in first zodiac. This also means that in first case, the massages of the peripherals will be counterproductive.

  • All remedies whether it be medicines, food, lifestyle, gems, vastu, prayers, morality, meditation, control on senses, asana, pranayama etc. are meant to break the inertia of the soul so that she does not create more negative karmas as inertia robs us of our ability to differentiate between good and bad thereby creating more negative karmas. However, it doesn’t mean that these remedies can undo our wrong karmas already committed in this life and previous ones. We have to bear the fruits of our Karmas.
  • Whatever we do makes a difference in our energy signatures too. This is not observable in d1 however one may be able to see them in micro divisional charts.
  • Not just the conscience of a specific realm, one gets affected by the conscience of the other parallel worlds too especially if one’s soul has been living lives parallel in the other worlds too.
  • Even though each of the three sets of nine constellations are governed by Ketu till Mercury, they are different from each other because they all represent different layers and depths in the body. So crudely, while first set represents the expansion from Aries/Ashwini till Cancer/Pushya, the next represents the expanded stage of the body whereas the third set represents the beginning of the contraction from fully expanded stage. This can also be visualized as movement of Rasa from bottom to top and back to bottom in a helical manner. This principle can be applied on the two different zodiacs of the same planet too e.g. Aries represents inner Mars whereas Scorpio represents the outer Mars. This also means that since Aries is the MT sign of Mars, Mars energy represents primarily the inner strength that is building up to push itself outside.
  • Sun is the strongest planet amongst all. Hence as a thumb rule, it is usually the father (being man and thus higher on Sadhak Pitta) who decides the way of living of the house which means that Sun’s position in the house with a specific zodiac/planet represents the focus of father.
  • Conjunction– A conjunction in the birth chart is the much more important than transits as conjunction determines the basic constitution of the event or person. For example Rahu Saturn conjunction or placement of Rahu in Saturn’s zodiac or vice versa represents that the person will have Vata in the basic constitution (less blood) however it will also get overstimulated due to Rahu resulting in creation of excess space in the basic constitution itself. This is bound to get further ignited if accompanied by Mars.
  • Kaalpurush – Irrespective of whatever planet is parked in a specific house in one’s chart, the energies of that corresponding house of the Kaalpurush chart will always be there in that house which is why it is the Karaka of that house. For example, even if one has Saturn and 11th zodiac in first house of a birth chart, the person will still have energies of Mars too in it which is the first house of Kaalpurush chart. This is because without Mars, the body cannot expand from one cell to more or say first house is the beginning of the expansion. Thus even if Sun is significator of first house from functional perspective of the first house as it has pineal gland which works on sunlight, it also needs to have energy of Mars (that too the first zodiac). This also means that if one has similar energy in one’s birth chart as that is in that corresponding house in Kaalpurush then it will further compound. On the other hand, if one has opposite energy to Kaalpurush chart in one’s birth chart then it will weaken the strength of that house e.g. Sun is karaka of fifth house from Kaalpurush perspective and rightly so as fifth house is the seat of Pachak Pitta (which is the strongest of all Pittas as this is also the primary seat of Pitta). However, if one has Saturn in 11th zodiac sitting in one’s birth chart then it will weaken digestive fire especially of the peripherals of the fifth house i.e. kidney etc as Saturn is hot inside but cold outside.

  • Week days’ explanationWe briefly discussed about how psychology creates energies of different planets in seven days of the week. Here is another way to explain it using Rahu and Ketu. We know that Rahu has to be followed by Ketu and vice versa. At a smaller scale this happens on daily, hourly and even second basis. This trend can be noted in the days of the week too starting from Monday which represents moon- the mind. Thus the next day to Monday represents outward movement of mind towards exterior planet (in the solar system) and the next day represents the inward movement (towards the interior planet) and this trend of outward and inward continues for the entire week.

*** Here we must remember that the mathematical explanation of any phenomenon or concept has to be preceded by the scientific explanation of the concept and not the other way round. Hence it is wrong to blindly accept any mathematical explanation of any concept unless the fundamental of that concept is clear and is reflecting clearly in the mathematical explanation. This goes true for everything. In simple words, theory comes first, mathematical equations to explain that theory should be second and the final crisp formula of that mathematical equation should be the last.

  • Death– Prediction of death is a very contradictory aspect of astrology especially because death in Kalyuga is considered as a bad thing even though it is not so because it may mean graduation to the next level. I am using the word “May” because death of the physical body should not be treated as a means of liberation of the soul from her “Sanskars” (conscience). Because the soul has to start from where it left in the next incarnation (even if the settings are different). And therefore prediction has one very important application which is- to prepare self and the family for the exit (of self or the family member) which can help in furtherance of the objectives of the departed soul thereby helping the entire lineage to get faster towards liberation. Remember, this also has ramification at a larger level as the entire world is one family. Now let us come to the prediction part. We know that Vata can gradually block Pitta but it is vice versa too that Pitta can burn Vata (channels) leading to sudden blockage of Pitta. Even sudden Kapha can block Pitta and Vata from travelling. All these interactions can be used to predict the type of death that one is likely to face. So Vata blocking Pitta means Saturn brining slow death which usually happens in old age or gradual organ failures. Pitta burning channels means Sun or Mars bringing sudden death due to short circuit and sudden progression of Pitta. Kapha blocking Pitta and Vata would mean death due to Jupiter or Venus creating a block in form of plaque in heart or head.

Of course, it becomes difficult to predict when one is high on all three i.e. VPK. Yet, planetary periods and even transits can be used to predict death. For example, when one is going through Markesh period under the lordship of 6,8 or 12th house (especially when both the houses of the lord are in difficult houses with MT zodiac definitely in a difficult house) then it can create death, however a lot will depend upon the strength of planets in Shadbala.

Let’s take my case. You would have read and known by now that Jupiter is a strong markesh for me being lord of 3rd and 12th. However it doesn’t mean that this alone is sufficient to create serious problems. If Jupiter is in kendra then it makes Jupiter as a stronger markesh because it means that this dosha is inherently present in the native which ideally should not be there (A vata person should not expand as this will weaken the core organs). Also if the planets that create Jupiter i.e. Rahu and Mars are closely located that too in early part of life then they further create Jupiter. This means excess space (functionally malefic Jupiter) can be markesh for this body. So what can trigger space? These are Mars, Rahu and Sun due to Pitta in Vata. Thus, for my body, sub or even sub sub periods of these planets under Jupiter Mahadasha can become Markesh. If all these come in line starting from Main period to sub and sub sub and even sub sub period then it makes that time even more markesh. Transit of such planets in kendra or when they are strong e.g. Mars is strong in fifth zodiac fuelled by Sun’s energy can also trigger such an event.

*** On a spiritual level, death simply comes when the life’s decided lesson/s get over. In computer language, when the software has completed its desired objective it merges or gets withdrawn or switches off from the source. Don’t we see absolutely hale and hearty and healthy people suddenly collapsing while enjoying life to the fullest without any prior medical history though the medical science may give it the name as sudden cardiac arrest etc. but even they can’t explain its mechanism. On the other hand, we also find people suffering in vegetative (or almost vegetative) state for years together but still remaining alive. Of course this can be read from chart to a great extent that why the person is alive despite being in vegetative state.

More about prediction of Global events

We discussed that during solar and lunar eclipse the gravitational forces become stronger than otherwise thereby causing upsurge in the earth crust and even our body and all beings including non-living leading to higher chances of issues like earthquakes, sudden fires, explosions, impulsive decisions, flash floods and so on. However, such chances of such events can get further compounded by other planetary combinations like Rahu in Aries because Rahu is Vata (hollowness) and when Pitta (Aries) passes through it, then Rahu expands erratically causing space here and there. This may further get compounded if Mars is also very strong in the chart. Now to see the location of the earthquake, one can check the birth chart of the country. If Rahu and Mars are very strong in the chart, then the chances of quake are high. Even Rahu alone if very strong especially sitting in first house of the person in 3rd zodiac or near it can create quake. If Rahu ketu axis falls in internal houses especially Kendra, then the chances of quake are even higher. The situation may get even further compounded if Rahu or Mars dasha is on.

Science and Spirituality

  • Effect on Planets of Quantum entanglement– The phenomenon of quantum entanglement is not confined to a few thousand kilometres. It extends to infinity. In other words, whatever we do/speak/act has a quantum effect on the planets too which means every action of ours has an effect on the collective conscience too through planets. We can’t see them because they are quantum and slow (like butterfly effect). This also means that the signatures of earth keep changing with changing time through changing alignment of planets thereby bringing different Yugas. Since even randomness has an order, even this change in alignment of the planets too is basis an order. This is why alignment of planets with respect to earth defines changing Yugas.
  • Mahabharata and Astrology– We discussed that War of Mahabharata created total haywireness in the hard disk of Maya thereby undoing homogenization. When the world rebooted from almost a scratch, it created pockets of different civilizations with their own languages, rituals, scriptures, food, culture, religion etc. raised from bits and pieces of knowledge and language they were left with after the war. It is not difficult to understand that post-Mahabharata world was relatively much richer in Venus i.e. natural resources etc. on earth, however it was poor in knowledge about what were those things i.e. Jupiter. This is the reason we see today that we have abundant of resources but we still don’t know how to gainfully utilize them for optimum outputs from self else this world would have been a much better place to live with so many resources available by mother nature. Since currently the world is passing through Rahu era, it is clear that when Jupiter will arrive, it will expand the consciousness of this earth even though it will come through struggles such as wars etc.

Coming back to the post Mahabharata era, when these pockets of civilizations started to mix around which is inevitable and essential for re-homogenization, then apart from gradually rising knowledge sharing on all fronts, it has led to initial discomforts- both at physical, mental and religious levels (which we are witnessing today). This is because when anyone comes out of one’s comfort zone, then it is bound to create initial discomforts before proper homogenization takes place. In simple words, the process of re-homogenization is not easy though in the long run it will be rewarding. At grand scale it is bound to create even wars. From astrological viewpoint, whenever the lord of internal houses especially kendra houses (1,4,7,10) is seated in the external houses i.e. 3rd, 6th or 8th then it means that the soul will be stepping into an unknown zone which initially will create discomfort and Vata/haywireness before it and the soul group begins to settle (don’t we see this phenomenon very often in Kalyuga?).

However, the process of homogenization and de-homogenization is ever ending. Not only it will go on at one plane (like earth), there will be homogenization happening between two different worlds (planets). This is one reason that earth is not seeing any aliens because we earthlings are not yet stabilized in our own civilization and any contact with the other civilization will destabilize it too. Hence no advanced civilization would like to contact earth unless we are ready. The chances of getting connected to an unstable civilization are remote because an unstable civilization are busier in wars and destructive technologies and hence remain busy in their own world unless they evolve.

  • Why time is different in different realms– We discussed in the book that mass is nothing but information and time is movement of information/mass and therefore mass/information is bound to slow down time. Denser the information, slower would be the movement of time. This is because information is like Kapha and time is like Pitta. So when Kapha is high, Pitta moves slowly through it. That is why time moves slower near earth than in space. Now, we discussed that from realm viewpoint, earth is much denser than the higher realms making the experiences on earth much more intense thereby giving very strong deep seated lessons. That is why, time on earth moves much slower than the higher worlds. In other words, hundred years on earth pass much quicker in the higher world. Thus, when the souls enter earthbound bodies, hundred years on earth means a very few days for soul world. This is the reason that the souls yearn to incarnate in human bodies to gain experiences and evolve quickly which otherwise would take hundreds of years in their realm.

*** Some scriptures say that one year on earth i.e. 365 days, is equivalent to one day of the Devas.

  • Understanding 5 and higher dimensions– On earth we can think of time moving only in one direction i.e. forward direction making this world 4D with the other three dimensions as length, breadth and width (X,Y and Z axis). However, if we peep into our mind, we find that we can move even backwards in time and space. This happens when we remember events of the past. That means our electromagnetic flux which is nothing but our mind, can move in different directions of time (not just forward but even backwards, sideways, upwards etc. or say on X,Y and Z axis of time). Now since souls are nothing but self conscious packets of electromagnetic energy, we can visualize that they can move in the hard disc of maya (super super computer) in any direction not just in space but also time. In other words, they can go to any point of time and space to see things happening there. For them nothing is past, present and future. That is why, it is said that after the soul gets moksha (liberation), it can travel anywhere in the Universe at will and can reach there within no time (in fact instantaneously within quantum time period much faster than the speed of light). Please remember that it can travel to only that which exists as per her experience (or say recorded in her CD). This also means that a soul can peep into her past anytime for deeper analysis just like a computer and so can the supersoul. In other words, a supersoul may materialize one of its souls as physical body to move in the web of maya and extract real time information from it for deeper analysis because ultimately body is an instrument used by the higher world to collect information (lower knowledge) and create higher knowledge out of it.
  • The souls may travel from higher to lower realms– Skills, virtues and vices of a soul continue from one lifetime to another basis her desires and evolution. Same goes true for even a soul group (families at soul level). That is why we may see similar skill sets (including other virtues and vices) in the same or similar field running for generations in a family. Thus a child prodigy or a past master in a field may have practiced and experienced the same skill for several lifetimes to attain the current level of expertise. Therefore it is wrong to blindly use the words like fluke or nepotism unless evident in lack of skills. This is the reason that many school drop outs attained great achievements in different fields whether it be science or entrepreneurship etc. This also means that a person without formal education may have more experience and knowledge than those with formal education on that subject. Not only that; different souls may travel in different time zones e.g. future timeline with respect to present realm to gain more experience on a specific subject and then come to less evolved zones with respect to time (in general or on the specific aspect) to impart it while also learning newer concepts. Please understand the evolution and timezone are two different things. A specific area in a timeline may be more evolved than future however because of homogenization, it lost its wisdom (though this loss is always temporary).

More about Significance of Mythology

*** They say to learn to live in the present but the fact is that one can live in the present only when one’s soul has lived through many lifetimes and has gained experience of the environment where one has currently incarnated. In other words, the soul has to incarnate in different places and different bodies to understand the environment of that area. It’s only then that the soul learns to live or say enjoy the present. Prior to that, the soul has to peep into the past to get a better future. However, this “living in the present” is a temporary stage depending upon how much experience has the soul gained. Because as the Universe expands and evolves further, the soul has to learn more beyond her comfort zone (beyond the living in the present).

  • Understanding more about Avatars- Shiva is Shunya, the highly compressed dot of knowledge. Unlike Vishnu, he/his energy doesn’t fully incarnate. Its only part of his energies that incarnate into different avatars even though at a deeper level, the fact is that everything has come out of Shiva only (the infinitely dense dot). This is because he stores all the knowledge of thousands of lifetimes or infinite at the level of most Supreme soul. On the other hand, Vishnu represents VPK which keep changing and hence keep incarnating in different avatars basis the feedback from Brahmand (Brahma) and guidance from Shiva. Remember, this is just a way to explain these three energies and as mentioned above they are inseparable. This is why, it is said that Shiva is simply existence and some texts call him away from Rajas, Tamas and Satva. However as mentioned above, even part of Shiva takes avatars for severing/destructing vices. For example Saturn is said to be part of Shiva as Saturn too means just existence (mere observation). However Saturn does have some Rajas even though it is more Tamasic in nature (inward). Thus when Shiva consumes poison during Samudra manthan (which refers to negativity, pain that we go through during the process of evolution of our soul), the Saturn refers to teachings of Shiva and Bhadra refers to negativity (poison) which ultimately gets thrown out of Prakriti even though it never dies.

*** While Shiva can be visualized as a compressed dot of information, he is bound to exist wherever Prakriti is. In simple words, Shiva is intelligence that is present in every part of our cell and even in the subatomic particles. It is that intelligence which gives a specific shape (prakriti) to the cell or even the sub atomic particle. That is why Shiva’s reach is everywhere even though the governance starts from the highest chakra (where the higher self resides in the higher world). At Universal level, whenever Shiva hears anyone remembering him desperately, he reaches there to assist him/her. At individual level too, whenever any of our body part is in distress, Shiva i.e. our conscience with all its knowledge reaches there to provide comfort to it. How much of comfort that body part gets depends upon the level of evolution of our own Shiva.

So Avatar/incarnation in human body is never in totality. It represents a portion of the huge knowledge that the soul (or supersoul) has amassed. Thus when Lord Vishnu takes Avatar, he does so only as per the level of evolution of that era. This is because if he incarnates with all the knowledge that he has and tries to disseminate, the rest of the less evolved souls will not be able to understand that knowledge at all. This is why he incarnates partially and as the world evolves, he takes more evolved Avatars to help the world to understand the bigger meanings of the existing knowledge by connecting the dots available. This also means that the avatar of Lord Vishnu as Lord Krishna is more evolved than Lord Rama. It will be foolish to read it as supremacy of Krishna over Rama because Krishna could not have been possible without Rama. As such Lord Vishnu intentionally decides to take avatar with lesser virtues when the world is not ready (as it can’t understand it). That is why Lord Rama is said to have 14 Kala (virtues) whereas Krishna has 16. This also explains that while meat was possibly essential during Rama’s time however by the time Krishna was born, the world had evolved to thrive on vegetation. Possibly one of the additional Kala of Krishna was compassion for the entire world (Vasudeva Kutumbakam).

All in all, Vishnu basically terminates the gross Asuric tendencies of the highest evolution of the specific era with the help of his Sudarshan Chakra, so that he/the world can evolve to the next stage of evolution. That is why as per the mythology, He as Narsimha kills Hiranyakashyap, as Rama kills Ravana and as Krishna kills Shishupal. All three people who were killed had their conscience in the lower chakras. Astrologically, Krishna represents moon which is the significator of motherly love and fourth house. Whereas Rama represents Sun that is significator of fatherly love and fifth house, which from chakra viewpoint refers to disciplined/orderly living. Accordingly, the previous Avatars of Lord Vishnu were of the lower chakras and next to Lord Krishna of higher chakras like Buddha. Thus Kalki refers to that avatar which would open our highest chakra of human life i.e. second chakra (the first chakra refers to the higher world where life exists in energy form/the soul).

*** Lord Krishna in hell doesn’t mean that He loses his divinity. It simply means he would need to make extreme efforts and will have go through sufferings for raising the level of conscience of the sector of the hard disc (or say realm) which was almost cleaned (rebooted due to war). This is because he in his full form as Lord Vishnu, is the father (supersoul) or say administrator of that sector of Maya who erased (partially or almost fully) that sector of the hard disc because it had got corrupted. Thus as the administrator of that sector of Maya, he has to re-establish it too (but after consulting Shiva who has stored memories of the past). Please remember the nine avatars of Lord Vishnu evolve not only in supersoul but also in the individual soul thereby gradually raising her level of conscience. However after reaching the pinnacle, the soul may move to another sector and begin her journey again from the scratch while retaining her intelligence of past lives. In such a case, her evolution in the new sector will be much quicker as she has understood the basic fabric of the universe (even if the sectors are different).

Thus Kalki doesn’t mean the end of evolution. It simply means the movement to the next level of evolution after attaining the highest level in a specific realm (realm could also mean a specific lifestyle/thought/virtue etc). Hence this cycle of moving to next realm and restarting from the lowest chakra to the highest chakra is an ongoing thing, both at individual as well as the collective conscience level. This also means that after Kalki avatar in a realm (which also means Yuga because Yuga represents energies of a specific realm too), when the soul moves to the higher realm, it starts from the lowermost chakra in that realm. This cycle goes on and on as the soul evolves and so does the supersoul (the Universe). This also means that it is wrong to compare Rama with Krishna and other avatars of lord Vishnu because they keep evolving with Yuga which means Krishna of a Yuga is different from Krishna of another Yuga.

*** We know that the zodiacs have been divided into four Varnas with 1,5,9 as Kshatriyas, 2,6,10 as Vaishya, 3,7,11 as Shudras and 4,8,10 as Brahmins. It’s easy to understand this coz 1,5,9 are Agni element which is needed to push which is why 1,5,9 houses represent the beginning of another cycle in the chart i.e. Dharma ending with Moksha as 4,8,12 houses. Thus, to become a Brahmin one needs to become a Kshatriya first and then move through Shudra and Vaishya. Ayurvedically too, it is logical coz Vata increases in everything and thus even KP (Kshatriya) gradually gives rise to Vata too thereby creating OTP i.e. Ojas Tejas and Prana (Brahmin) via different stages of VPK. Here OTP refers to expanded Brahamand or say more knowledge stored from larger Brahamand/Universe. Post this the soul doesn’t and cannot stop so it moves again to expand itself through Pitta/Agni thereby igniting another cycle of exposure to a larger Universe. That is how the soul keeps expanding in the hard disc of Maya. This also means that when the body which is nothing but the instrument/vehicle helping us to move in Maya, expands to its maximum limit, then it dies so that soul can wear the next cloth which is connected to the larger Universe and then this cycle goes on.

*** Narayana means arrival (Ayana) of Nar (Male). Since male represents Pitta, Narayana represents arrival of Pitta. It is only when Pitta enters into nothingness – an infinitely dense dot (i.e. Shiva) that it begins to expand and create VPK.

  • The process of creation of Ravana and then of victory of Rama is a continuous one in our body and mind. When Pitta (Sun and Mars) goes high alongwith Rahu (desire to learn more), then it creates Jupiter (expansion of Knowledge), thereby creating Ravana. This knowledge/conscience through the energies of Saturn, Mercury and Ketu create higher knowledge and then experiences through Venus to realize the different between wrong and right. Finally when Sun arrives again, it has already filtered out wrongs (vices) from the knowledge/experience thereby creating higher level of conscience which is nothing but Ram. This also means that Ram and Ravana are relative energies. The level of conscience of Rama for a less evolved soul would still be Ravana for a more evolved soul whose Rama is much more evolved conscience than the less evolved soul.

*** Within the body, Ajay and Vijay the gate keepers of Lord Vishnu are nothing but Rajas and Tamas and because of Rajas one of them refuses to accept new knowledge emerging from Brahmand until Tamas slows them down. This also means that if we have sattva then it is easy to accept knowledge however this is also true that Sattva can only provide us Jupiter type of knowledge (theoretical) and Venus knowledge which gives us practical experience to understand Jupiter and segregate good from bad can be learnt only through living it.

  • Why God doesn’t intervene all the time– Most of the humans in Kalyuga wonder that why God doesn’t intervene in wrong doings before they even happen. This is because if he would do so then it will never impart lessons to anyone and it will create more chaos in the long run. Ravana’s story is a beautiful example of this fact. For example, the Asuric desires of the soul make her choose timelines where she can satiate them however such desires in the long or short run (depending upon the evolution of the soul) are bound to disturb the same soul at her human level (i.e. anahata chakra) and God level (in upper chakras) by making her realize that her desires were wrong which will manifest in terms of depression, diseases etc. Here this is to reiterate that the lower chakras are also as important as the higher ones. The problem comes when they are marred by wrong energies thereby developing conscience like that of Ravana instead of Bali. Same can and does happen at even higher chakras when Indra is affected by excess of Rahu which is even worse because if someone’s lower conscience is physically strong and upper conscience is ridden by excess Rahu, then such people are mentally immoral but physically strong (especially initially until Rahu creates diseases).

God can be visualized as that point in the hard disk of Universe who is far away from those points which are high on Rajas and Tamas. However, there comes a time when Rajas and Tamas start reaching him too and then he has to take Avatar (it’s like waves of sea storm hitting the quiet seas). Being high on Sattva, he is quietly watching us and can feel our chaos especially when it becomes too much. That is why when he incarnates he enters the bigger picture to bring it to a conclusion. But who decides his fate and movement. It has to be someone who has even deeper knowledge. That is how when Lord Vishnu takes Avatar, Lord Shiva guides him through the chaos when HE enters in it. In other words, God is entangled with all of us but being far it doesn’t affect him unless it becomes too loud just as we see in Kalyuga which is why Kalki avatar will enter. So when God enters, he cannot enter just one part of the hard disc under question. Instead his conscience has to move through all the areas and go right the depth/center of the hard disc to understand it’s fabric.

This is why God’s task is not easy and is a continuous process of learning the fabric of that hard disc so that finally it can be repaired or rebooted totally. While total rebooting means starting from scratch i.e. big bang, partial rebooting or repair would mean destroying that which is corrupted to start with basics in place. How much basics in place, will depend upon level of corruption. Thus we can visualize here that like Universe even God keeps expanding and evolving from lower to higher organisms. Also different areas of the hard disc can have different Gods who represent the most evolved soul of that area. Of course there has to be someone who is controlling or guiding them and this hierarchy goes on (downwards as well as upwards).

*** The soul world and the physical world run in parallel working as mirrors to each other and having cause and effect relationship just like two closely located hard discs will have. Thus, even souls have children when it gets split up into more souls.

  • Lord Vishnu in lower chakras- we discussed the logic of that how when Sun enters cancer zodiac and begins to travel downwards after touching tropic of cancer, then Lord Vishnu goes down into lower chakras in sleep mode in the kingdom of King Bali as Bali represents a highly ethical Asura who lives exactly in line with morality as per the principles of Venus. That is why during this time Lord Shiva takes over the reins of the entire world. However, there is also a time when Lord Vishnu goes to the lowest realms i.e. Patal Loka. This happens when the other sister of Devi Lakshmi from their father Samudra (ocean) whose name is Alaskhmi (opposite of Lakshmi) and who resides in the depth of ocean prays for marrying Lord Vishnu and gets it as a boon. The result is that Vishnu after forgetting everything of the past, goes and stays with her in Patal loka which results in chaos to undo which Shiva has to fight with Vishnu to remind him of who he is so that he is back as the administrator of the entire world and not just Patal. Now think of this story happening inside us especially in those who live only for food, sex and enjoyment of their lower chakras. Sooner or later, this results in chaos when we begin to catch imbalances of different kinds like diseases, aggression, and depression etc. due to loss of blood/prana in the upper body. Thus, there comes a time when our deep seated conscience (from the higher world i.e. Shiva) begins fighting with our Vishnu to remind him that he in form of VPK has to take care of the entire world and not just Patal Loka. The story also says that during this fight Vishnu leaves his Sudarshan Chakra in the Patal Loka but Shiva gifts him another Sudarshan Chakra before moving to upper realms which means that the lower chakras have their own governing mechanism in form of Sudarshan chakra of Vishnu left there. Interestingly it is true because from biology perspective our gut right till the rectum, houses something called as the enteric nervous system which works like a CPU for governing the functioning of gastrointestinal functions. As such we discussed that how gut has the ability to take over when upper chakras fail temporarily.

  • Kartikeya (the son of Lord Shiva and Parvati) is the warrior inside us whose task to keep defeating/killing Asuras when they become threat to the entire world/body. That is why he is known to reside in the South where Asuras reside and far away from Kailash (topmost chakra) where Shiva parvati reside. He can be visualized as inner strength (endurance) including our immunity to battle out diseases/distortions (both at mental as well as physical level). He can also be visualized as command sent by our brain (CPU) in the form of Pitta to the far off areas of the body (right till lowest chakra) to fend off infection/wrong doings and overall regulation. However being away from his parents, he is likely to develop a bit of aggression and other traits of high Pitta like ego, jealousy etc. at times which can be visualized in form of over working of our immunity system at inner level and loss of temper while fighting the wrongdoings at the outer level. Like every other energy, he also evolves/matures gradually when he begins to fend off/fight out wrongs with controlled aggression. Astrologically you can think of him as an exulted Mars.
  • Himavat is called as the father of Parvati/Prakrati because Himavat means mountain and it is mountains only which carry minerals and all nutrients brought up from the core of the earth on the crust of earth that create nature including living and non living beings (Prakriti). That is why Ganga is another daughter of Himavat and is elder to Parvati as it is river that flows from the mountains that distributes minerals and water and creates Prakriti (Parvati).
  • It’s time that we instead of worshipping only Devi Laxmi, also begin to worship Devi Parvati and Saraswati that too in true letter and spirit, if we wish to move to Satyuga.
  • Excess bitterness not in line with weather creates rahu in upper (excessive tipsy feeling or total loss of wisdom i.e. stupor stage) and then subsequently but subconsciously, one takes more pitta to push more blood towards the brain to push more blood in the narrowed vessels. Gradually excess pitta without sufficient kapha (in upper body) increases space (Jupiter). This continues unless one reaches the state of enlightenment through pain and discomfort.
  • Manas Putra– Manas means Mann i.e. mind. Putra means son. Hence Manas putra refers to the energy created (within or outside) by the source (which could be anyone) which is exactly in line with one’s deepest desire which is nothing but mind i.e. what the source really wants. It may not involve energies of two people to create it (even if not physical). That is how Vinayak (called as Lord Ganesha subsequently) was born by the deepest desire of Devi Parvati to bring happiness in her world which had become lonely when Lord Shiva had gone into meditation to undo the inauspicious of the world when it was suffering due to misdeeds of Indra and other Gods/devas (when one’s senses become corrupted). On the other hand, Lord Murugan (other name for Kartikeya) and Ashoksundari (daughter) were Manas children of Shiva and Parvati. That is why even the act of producing child/children through sexual acts should be with total awareness that what does the couple want. This also means that the act of sex for producing offspring should be very thoughtful/ subtle and not be driven by excess VP which is possible only when one is very sattvic in nature.

*** Ashok means without sorrow or joyful and Sundari means a beautiful girl. So, Ashoksundari refers to that part of Prakriti which is joyful. She marries Nahoosh (means man) with the help of Ganesh (wisdom) for furtherance of progeny. Nahoosh is the one who finally kills an Asura. The deep seated meaning here is that a part (i.e. Ashok Sundari) of our higher self (Prakriti i.e. the Soul itself) is born in form of human (Nahoosh) to kill Asura inside us for evolving further.

  • The story of Ahilya and Gautam– Once Brahma gave birth to a manas putri (putri means daughter) by the name of Ahilya (meaning one with impeccable beauty). While Indra wanted to marry her, however due to Indra’s greedy and lustful behaviour, Brahma married her to Rishi Gautam (meaning one who brings light in the world) who was creator of Nyaya Shastra (scripture capturing knowledge for understanding, delivering and creating justice in the world) as blessed by Shiva. Now at one point of time due to his corrupt nature, Indra by use of his powers disguised himself as Gautama and made union with Ahilya but then he was caught by Gautama and was then cursed to become ugly and devoid of any wealth and strength until the world regains auspicious energy devoid of corrupt conscience. Enraged by this act Gautam also cursed Ahilya to become stone until Lord Rama would come and bless her.

Now here is the deep seated meaning to this story. Indra in the above mentioned state of mind refers to the conscience/collective conscience under the influence of excess of Rahu and Mars which create excessive desires leading to vices like adultery, possessiveness and other crimes like sexual assaults. At non physical level it represents vices like looting, hacking or stealing non living things for satiating one’s greed. Rishi Gautam represents that conscience inside us which understands justice. Converting Ahilya into stone depicts two reasons. One is that since Indra represents the collective conscience which is corrupted by Rahu, it corrupted the conscience of even Rishi Gautama which made him forget the difference between right and wrong. Secondly Ahilya is cursed because she herself also could not detect the difference between wrong and rightfully mine because of illusion created by Rahu on the conscience. Here we must understand that by cursing Ahilya, Rishi Gautam cursed himself too by losing his spouse. That is why Lord Rama who represents Sun (righteousness) is needed to undo the effect of Rahu to re-establish righteousness (both at individual as well as collective level).

More about Ganesh

  • Cutting down of Ganesh’s head to replace it with elephant’s head by Shiva when Ganesh refuses to allow Shiva to enter Parvati’s place and instead displays inflated ego and might, represents that when knowledge attained after our meditation/focus(which is nothing but Shiva inside us) tries to enter Parvati (our conscience including physical body at individual or collective level), then our ego or collective ego (stored by Kapha i.e. Ganesh), resists from entering, post which Shiva has to destroy that ego so that knowledge can enter our conscience (Parvati). Vinayak’s stubbornness to stop Shiva from entering while also harming other Devas i.e. Sun, Indra etc, (due to the promise given to his mother to not to allow anyone from entering her cave when is praying to get ready for greeting Shiva), conveys the message that sometimes promise may need to be broken for the larger good especially when one makes promise without seeing the larger picture. Or say one must not be rigid in not allowing more information/knowledge to flow in ones’ conscience else the higher world has to opt for difficult ways to push it through because when the soul refuses more knowledge she retards her evolution too which retards the evolution of the entire Universe too. The elephant’s head represents expanded conscience which is bound to bring more wisdom. That is why the four manas putra of Lord Brahma (who can be considered as the four Vedas or four direction or even four dimensions) are known to be the Guru/teacher of Ganesh. This is an ongoing cycle in each one of us.

*** The act of creating Ganesh by Parvati from the dirt of her skin represents that unless his head was replaced, he had the vices too which existed in her creator- the conscience (prakriti) of the individual as well as the world. As such the story says that initially Parvati created him only for herself (to get rid of her loneliness) and not for the larger good of the world (at body level it shows limited horizon of the person who dents his/her own existence in the long run). Here we must understand that a creation becomes complete when it is created both by the contribution of Prakriti and Purush (Vata and Pitta) else Vata without Pitta will go haywire and push kapha in the wrong direction. On the other hand, Pitta if not controlled by Vata will remain focussed only on one aspect and will not be able to create anything as it is Vata only that grows things laterally in different directions.

*** Ganesh means Esh of Gana where Esh represents the Head or God and Gana represents group of souls/people residing in Kailash who are loving and simple and are therefore close to Shiva.

*** Ganesh represents space which is why he likes Modhak (Laddoo/sweet balls) to fill up that space. While creating him, Parvati also used the dirt of her skin which represents vices like ego in Vinayak before he became Ganesha after his head was replaced by that of the elephant.

*** The story says that it is Gajasur (an elephant who was Asura and a devotee of Lord Shiva) who donated his head for giving new head to Ganesh’s body. This is a very important aspect because question may arise that how can an Asura head be part of a God. The answer is that it is only an Asura who can gather intelligence and thus wisdom by living through lifetimes. Devotion to Shiva ensured that his wisdom does not wander away in the wrong direction. Thus the word Asura does not always mean wrong doer. Even the Gods like Indra can go in the wrong direction due to different Yugas governed by different planets.

*** The rats shown as Ganesh’s friends, represent VP moving through dense Kapha which is a trait of mercury where Pitta moving through different circuits (Vata) help in creating a strong healthy interneural network where all the three forces of VPK are balanced and therefore provide an intelligent, analytical, balanced mind which is neither too inward nor outwards. That is why Ganesh is considered “Pratham Pujya” remembering whom first before every other energy/God means that intellect is above everything which has the ability to gather knowledge from Shiva and expand her Brahmand (Universe/mind) with the help of Vishnu (VPK). All in all, mercury has the most optimum mechanism of assimilating knowledge and converting that into higher knowledge through the system of continuous experience and feedback and the cycle goes on.

*** How and why intellect is mightier than physical strength- The story goes that gods get into a competition to decide the mightiest of all. They are told to take three rounds of the world to decide the winner. Everyone thinks that Ganesh will in any case lose the competition because his vehicle is too slow (the mice/rat). However, when all the Gods (including Sun, Kartikeya, Indra) are busy taking rounds of the world, Ganesha is busy attending to his parents and routine of praying. He then takes three rounds of Shiva and Parvati (his parents) because as per him, one’s parents are one’s world which is true because the child grows physically and mentally from the parents only. We already discussed that how parents represent God himself. Hence Ganesha is declared as the winner and therefore becomes Pratham Pujya- first to be worshipped. However this is also true that devotion is even above intellect which tames ego and helps in evolving knowledge which is endless. Ganesha’s broken tooth represents imperfection in him and all of us and our wisdom which should keep evolving ever to reach closer to perfection even though it can never be achieved.

  • The science behind Ganesh chaturthi – We know that Lord Ganesha represents Buddhi- the intellect which bestows the quality of analytical approach in us thereby imparting virtues like patience, intelligence and thus ever evolving wisdom due to balanced thinking imparted by intellect. That is why when Sun enters Virgo (Kanya rashi) which is the main zodiac sign of Mercury (Budh), then it fuels Buddhi in all of us thereby evoking Ganesha inside us. We also know that due to its gravitational pull, the Moon governs all the fluids in the world including our own body (that is how it creates tides). That is why on no moon day (i.e. Amavasya), Rasa inside us goes totally inwards. However, after no moon, as the moon starts waxing (i.e. with expanding illumination i.e. Shukla Paksh), this rasa starts expanding in our body too. On the fourth day of illumination after no moon, the rasa in our body has considerably expanded. That is why Ganesh chaturthi begins from the fourth day of Shukla paksh when Sun has entered the Virgo/Kanya. From this day onwards, till eleven days (until the full moon arrives), this rasa keeps expanding in our body thereby expanding our intellect too. That is why this festival continues for 11 days. Doing pious and righteous activities during this period including helping the needy ensures that our intellect gets filled by right virtues. The festival ends with Anant Chaturthi (chaturth means fourteen) when our Buddhi has reached its full expansion (Anant). That is why Lord Vishnu who administers this world through VPK is worshipped on this day.

ANANT CHATURDASHI

Anant means endless/infinite. Chaturdashi means 14th (which could be a day prior to full moon or no moon, however in this case it refers to the day prior to full moon). So Ganesh Chaturthi festival ends with Anant Chaturdashi when the rasa in our body has almost fully expanded due to waxing moon which is why it is called as Anant as it refers to infinitely expanded Buddhi (remember its infinite with respect to the specific person). Even this is said that our Mooladhara chakra stores information of the entire cosmos right from the time since it was created hence this day has the capability to expand our Buddhi to that level. This is the day when Lord Vishnu is worshipped because he is the administrator/nurturer who does so with the help of forces of Vata Pitta Kapha only.

SHRAAD

While till the full moon our rising rasa creates more of outward communication which is why we pray to Gods and convey our love and wishes, starting full moon, when the rasa in our body starts constricting inwards till the no moon day, the communication becomes stronger from outer to inner (in simple words, the rasa starts moving inwards through the channels created by VPK in this weather). This is the time to get involved in quieter and more inward activities so that we can listen to the ethereal energies of the higher world which are nothing but our ancestors so that their guidance can be absorbed by us for long lasting bliss by settling them in our Mooladhara. Of course it could be the other way around too when they need help from us. The ethereal energies find material ways to communicate to us (since we cannot hear them due to disturbed medium created by activities of Kalyuga like EM waves, light pollution, sound pollution etc.). Crow is one such medium who is a highly intelligent bird and has strong sense of direction which is why it is said that crow carries the message from our ancestors and is therefore fed food especially during shraad. The other animals that are considered to be vehicles of ethereal energies of our ancestors are cow, dog and ants. This is why we should offer food to them especially during these days apart from offering to the ethereal beings.

*** When we offer food to the ethereal beings we offer them to all the souls who are more evolved than us by virtue of being born before us. More evolved our ancestors, godlier they become and by offering food to them, we literally thank them for progressing the world (and us) to this level (*** those going through sufferings must understand that even suffering is essential for the soul to progress so that it can differentiate between Good and bad.

*** A general conception is that only those can offer prayers and donation during Shraad, whose parents have left for journey to heavenly abode. However, it is not so because we inherit the genes/traits from our ancestors only even if they come through our parents.

  • Shiva’s Son Jalandhar– One of the stories in Puranas states that when Indra attacks Lord Shiva (when Shiva was disguised as Sage to test the patience and maturity of Indra), then Lord Shiva out of anger opens his third eye. On request from Jupiter (the Guru of Indra and Devas) to spare Indra’s life, Shiva deflects the hot energy of his third eye towards the ocean and gives rise to an Asura by the name of Jalandhar (whose literal meaning is “inside water”). Jalandhar right from the childhood was very strong and therefore Indra tried to kill him however while trying to do so, Indra killed “Matsykanya”, (a mermaid) who had raised Jalandhar like his own mother. This angered Jalandhar and he decided to avenge his mother’s death. He accepted Shukracharya’s (Venus- the Guru of Asuras) offer to be trained under him. Subsequently, he became very strong and defeated Devas to become the owner of all the three lokas. Now here is the deep seated meaning in this story.

When our mind gets high on ego (Pitta) then it forgets about the inner self (Shiva) however high Pitta subsequently overheats our Pineal gland (our third eye) which expands and triggers a very strong high voltage and high ampere current (pitta) that travels to the farthest chakra in the body i.e. the 8th chakra and stimulates it to create testosterone (testosterone is produced in our 8th house which houses testicles). Those who know the basics of biology know that testosterone is instrumental in giving rise to muscles accompanied by aggression and leadership qualities (level of aggression differs from person to person and may vary from controlled to uncontrolled). The ocean represents the reproductive fluids which are dominating in testicles even though they are present in the entire body (we discussed that Venus/shukra is present in the entire body). Thus, Jalandhar in each one of us represents the Pitta of the lowermost chakra of our body which provides us muscular strength and the ability to command. Even though the level of testosterone varies from person to person, in general we all know that it is this Pitta that provides physical/sexual maturity and strength to all of us especially during our teens (when Vata is not high).

Astrologically first and eighth zodiacs are of Mars. Here while first zodiac represents inner strength, the eighth zodiac represents peripheral muscles which gives physical strength to the native whereas first zodiac gives strength more to the core organs. Now, we know that from Kaalpurush viewpoint, first house is owned by first zodiac and eighth by 8th zodiac. Hence, morphologically the hormones of first and second house (called as HGH i.e. Human growth hormone) represent growth of inner layers and organs whereas that of 8th (i.e. testosterone) represents outer growth which is why people begin to develop muscles at the age of 20-25. It’s quite logical that external strength is bound to weaken internal and vice versa which is why one must follow the middle path.

*** This is the reason that activation of eighth house brings difficulties for those having first zodiac in lagna (ascendant) as 8th house in such a case has 8th zodiac. Even vice versa is also true i.e. activation of sixth house is difficult for those having 8th zodiac in first (here sixth house will have 1st zodiac). This is despite the fact that both the houses are owned by Mars however one activates inner strength and another activates outer. Quite similar is the story with Venus where 2nd zodiac represents inner vibrance whereas 7th zodiac represents external vibrance.

Also to note that the entire body has testosterone receptors including brain. Hence when testosterone goes high, it affects all the organs of the body thereby increasing Pitta and muscles in the entire body and thus ruling all the three lokas. This story goes alongside another story when Parvati out of her desire asks Shiva to get flowers from all the six seasons for which Shiva has to separate himself from Parvati. This is the time when Indra becomes high on ego or say Pitta because it is Pitta only that creates desires in Parvati. As time distances Parvati from Shiva due to desire, she forgets about Shiva and thus her real self (the true nature) and gets affected due to Maya created by Jalandhar (testosterone). However when she is guided by Shiva disguised as a Guru with the help of Ashtang Yoga, then she gets rid of Maya created by Jalandhar and finally terminates it to merge back with Shiva.

The clear message is that when our soul incarnates to satiate her desire/s and separates herself away from Shiva (the bliss) i.e. the higher world, then she forgets about her true self and this subsequently gives rise to might (i.e. testosterone) and associated traits taking one deep into the world of maya. This is exactly what is happening with all of us. We the souls have forgotten our true nature and that is why we are experiencing chaos and sufferings (typical traits of Kalyuga). Of course there are souls who are enjoying this chaos because they are not feeling its affect due to the inertia of their minds, however sooner or later they will. That is why Ashtang Yoga is so essential in Kalyuga to pull us out of this chaos and merge with the higher world (Shiva).

*** Please note that a small amount of testosterone is produced in our adrenal glands too (which are placed above our kidneys) which is again triggered by pineal and then hypothalamus and pituitary. This happens in case our Pitta is not too high which then increases peripheral circulation and thus muscles to some extent but not as much as testosterone does. In females, it is produced in small quantities in ovaries and adrenal which is why they are less on muscles and ego/pitta- a trait which has been created by the nature to keep balance between males and females.

*** Estrogen, the hormone that is produced primarily in females (and less in males though present) has very similar (not same) structure to that of testosterone. Hence it provides a negative feedback to our Pituitary and Hypothalamus glands in Agya chakra (master chakra) to produce less of testosterone. Since females are less on force of Pitta, estrogen’s effect remains confined more towards the core and the lower body thereby strengthening uterus to prepare them for pregnancy after every menstrual cycle. Less Pitta provides them more of fat and less of muscles due to lesser metabolism (that is why estrogen also helps in increasing breast size). This is why every month their body sheds off the layer of uterus alongwith old unfertilized egg to create a fresh layer of fat and muscles on uterus. This also means that men who are low on testosterone may need to avoid consuming foods which are high on estrogen like Soy products even though Soy especially its nuggets (prepared after boiling and removing their oil) are exceedingly high on proteins, omega 3, iron, B9 and are strength giving. However, this is also true that high proteins as such increase Pitta thereby negating effect of estrogen present in it.

Understanding Tulsi (holy basil through Jalandhar)- The story of Jalandhar has special mention of a character named Vrinda who was a very pious women and a great devotee of Lord Vishnu. She was also a great healer bestowed with virtues of lord Vishnu as Vishnu represents administrator. During the war with Devas, she used to heal the wounded (whether it is Asuras or Devas) and had also resuscitated Jalandhar from the mouth of death. That is why, Venus (Shukra- the Guru of Asuras) wanted Jalandhar to marry Vrinda so that it imparts invincibility to Jalandhar for him to win all the three Lokas. However, Tridev could not afford this because Jalandhar driven by his vengeance to punish Indra (who had killed his mother) had slipped into inertia (which also creates ignorance and inability to see the right) and instead of just ruling the three lokas, he also decided to defeat Shiva (his own source) in a battle. While this was not possible, invincibility to Jalandhar would have meant continuous battle with Shiva and Tridev which would mean disastrous for the world. That is why Lord Vishnu was forced to ensnare Vrinda by posing as Jalandhar so that Vrinda would marry him.

Now here is the deep seated meaning of this story. To begin with Vrinda is equated with holy Basil (Tulsi). This is because Tulsi is considered a very healthy plant whose leaves pacify all the three doshas. Here is how. Being astringent and warm, it kills excess Kapha especially pseudokapha i.e. swollen kapha due to acidity/sourness. This in turn restores normal circulation which was getting blocked due to pseudokapha thereby expelling ama/toxins/pathogens. Excess Kapha narrows down blood vessels thereby pushing blood through narrowed vessels thereby increasing friction/heat and thus Pitta (since it is not real Pitta, it is termed as pseudopitta). Tulsi leaves also have mercury which imparts heaviness and thus stability thereby ensuring that increased Pitta (even if pseudopitta) including warmth of the leaves doesn’t destabilize the system. Thus even increased pitta doesn’t increase Vata and rather mercury fills up gaps in the system to calm down Vata (refer section on how heavy metals work in our body). Moreover, Basil has loads of various antioxidants and is also a good source of fiber, minerals and vitamins.

All in all, basil imparts strength and vigour to the body which is why Shukra wanted her to marry Jalandhar (this also means that Tulsi should not be consumed by those who are already high on real Pitta). However, we know by now that continued Pitta increases Vata which initially increases Rahu (inertia) but subsequently it also creates Saturn to set in realizations which happened in case of Jalandhar too thereby merging him back into Shiva (i.e. nothingness carrying all the knowledge). This is the story that happens in all of us right from birth till death. This also means that Jalandhar keeps enriching Shiva with more and more knowledge so that the soul becomes more evolved.

  • The story of Brahmari Devi and Arunasur– A mythological story goes that there was an Asura called Arunasur who was strong and through his Tapa (austerities), he had gained boon from lord Brahma that he could not be defeated by any Deva or Human or any other creature whether Biped or Quadruped (two or four limbed). This boon was asked by Arunasur to doubly ensure because he knew that in the past Hiranyakashyap Asura was killed by Lord Vishnu’s Avatar on his thigh in the form of half man and half lion during dusk on the entry of his palace to honour Lord Brahma’s boon to Hiranyakashyap that he could not be killed by any Deva, Human, Animal, neither outside nor inside, neither in day nor in night, neither in sky nor on ground. That is why Arunasur becomes strong and wins over all three Lokas. He also brings back life into his dead mother through his powers because he loves her though after coming to life his mother shows displeasure to him as he brought her back from her state of Moksha which she had achieved after her death. Even this doesn’t move him and he decides to fight Shiva. To kill him, Devi Parvati takes the form of Brahmari Devi (a form full of millions of bumblebee) as this form is neither biped nor quadruped. Now here is the deep seated meaning to it.

Arunasur represents the Asura inside us who is a highly evolved state of human being but only from material angle and therefore has won over death. He wants to revive his mother so that she keeps feeding him and he remains alive forever (hence it is blind and selfish love). However, this Asura is not realizing that death is essential for the soul to move to higher realms since death is graduation to current life lessons else the soul will remain stuck in the same collective conscience and wouldn’t be able to move to higher collective conscience even if she wants after going through life (This is why Shiva didn’t want to revive his mother because this would mean re-experiencing the same life which would mean stagnation of evolution. On the other hand, Devas are five elements and their combinations i.e. planets which keep creating different circumstances and experiences. Hence they are immortal). Brahmari Devi represents buzzing sound which removes negativity by undoing the current wiring of the brain and body. That is why Brahmari Pranayama is considered very good. On a grand scale, she represents a strong electromagnetic force who terminates the collective conscience when it reaches a state of invincibility through technology so that humans can evolve else invincibility on death is bound to retard evolution.

*** This story also mentions of Kartikeya falling in the trap of emotional blackmailing by Arunasur to bring back her mother from death. This is because Kartikeya represents our inner mars (starting from brain) which is supposed to keep Asuras in control (just as brain regulates our body by keeping our immunity strong), however being inner Mars (zodiac first), it makes one high on empathy too. Subsequently, Kartikeya realizes that his empathy was being taken for a ride because of which he promised Arunasur to bring back life to his mother with the help of his parents. In other words, our inner Mars keeps fuelling our Asura unless it realizes that it is trap. In simple words, it is only gradually that one learns to differentiate between right and wrong just like Karthikeya. Also mythology states that Kartikeya was raised by Kritikas even though he was the son of Shiva and Parvati. This is because Kritika represents the third Nakshatra that falls in the end of Aries which represents inner strength that is in the state of expansion.

  • Devas Versus Asuras

*** The word Asura means that which is without Sura. Sura comes from the word “Sur” which means harmony or tuning (with that which is so melodious and keeps one in a blissful state. That is why Sura is shown as a drink consumed by Devas to stay in a state of ultimate bliss. For human beings, it refers to that which keeps them in a state of bliss. It could be anything depending upon constitution and weather which can be understood only through Ayurveda (It could be alcohol too in some conditions but not just alcohol). Thus Asura means that conscience of the soul which takes her away from the state of bliss by igniting Rajas and Tamas from a state of Sattva. This is to reiterate that nothing can say in a state of permanent bliss because a bit of Rajas and Tamas are bound to exist in everyone including an atom of a non-living thing where electrons are in a state of Rajas and nucleus in Tamas.

Within each chakra/realm too there are sub chakras/sub realms. Thus, king Bali refers to the Asuric conscience seated at the highest level of Swadishthana Chakra who after meeting Rama at Manipura chakra (in Ramayana) understands the higher purpose of life apart from enjoying the luxuries of life. This is to reiterate that Asuras represent that form of conscience which governs “the three lowermost chakras that are meant for food, sex and physical strength” and are as essential for the Universe as are Devas who are seated in the higher chakras for governance of the Universe but under the guidance of Trinity. No doubts that since Devas represent higher chakras (master chakras/master glands), they are bound to dominate the Asuras, however it doesn’t mean that Asuras are always bad. A lot will depend upon the energies (zodiacs and planets) sitting on different chakras. For example, if one has strong Rahu sitting in first house then it is bound to weaken the strength of that chakra. Whereas a strong Jupiter or Venus in lower chakra will strengthen it. Thus such a person may enjoy traits of the lower chakras but with ethics in place.

In simple words, heaven can exist anywhere. It is not material abundance but the feeling of staying satisfied under all conditions that makes a place heaven. So goes with hell which can be seen even in Devloka of those who have negative thinking despite having material abundance.

*** Satisfaction in life can come when there is order (lesser VP) else VP (strong rahu) is bound to cause haywireness and unending desires alongwith diseases. That is why one must grow gradually else it is bound to create space (VP) and thus disorderliness resulting in everlasting dissatisfaction. When one grows gradually, one gradually gets abundance but on all fronts i.e. material as well as spiritual. In simple words, one grows equally on aspects of Saraswati, Parvati and Laxmi which is holistic growth.

  • Doshas at Soul’s level (Sanskar)– Like humans, the three doshas work on even soul even though they are in ether form like different softwares need different processors, RAMs and ROM to run them because of their size (kapha), speed of operation for optimum output (Pitta) and complexity (Vata). Thus, even souls carry their own Rajas, Tamas and Sattva from one life to another and do not merge with the hard disc of the Universe unless they have understood the entire Universe (or sector of the Universe). This is how they fit into exactly that body (or say superimpose themselves on the body) which resonates with the signatures of the soul (remember that the signature of the soul are sufficient to explain her aspirations too for future). Its only through lifetimes that the soul learns to get into sattvic mode (the middle path) like a driver gradually learns to maintain the vehicle on the right course through experience. This can be seen in the story of Shiva’s family too where Kartikeya after killing Mahishasur (an Asura who used to torment females) doesn’t immediately lose his inertia of high Pitta and kapha (Mars) and that is why he, due to his inflated ego, finds it difficult to accept when Ganesh is announced “Pratham Pujya” though Ganesha’s calmness and humility (kapha) makes him realize his fault pushing him into guilt and introspection to understand that what is causing these negative traits to build up in him. Does it not happen with all of us when we slow down and realize that we need to tame our overstimulated or increase our weak energies to be on the right path, which is possible only by bringing right changes in our food and lifestyle? Of course, one may need right medicines too.
  • Since siblings grow together, they have quite similar energies though not same just like Yama and Yami as discussed earlier. Similarly, even Parvati and Vishnu call each other brother and sister because they expand (or contract) together thereby creating Brahmand.

Logic of Traditions

The logic of Pheras (rounds around Havan kund/fire pit)

The marrying couple from families that follow Vedic culture take rounds (usually four or seven) of Havan kund (fire pit) along with recital of Mantras which are called Pheras (Pheras literally means taking rounds). Apart from reciting Mantras in Sanskrit, the attending Pundit also recites certain promises to be made by the couple while asking the couple to repeat them ending with the word “Swaha”. Here is the logic to it.

Agni i.e. fire of the Havan kund (fire pit), increases heat (Pitta in Ayurvedic language) in the atmosphere around, which in turn increases heat/Pitta of the marrying couple too. This further gets compounded by the loud recital by Pundit and loud repetitions followed by the couple. Since Pitta pushes a concept deeply in the hard disc of the body and brain, this process helps to deeply embed the promises made by the couple during this ceremony (that is how seniors in the armed forces instil homogeneity and thus discipline among its men by making a loud and clear command while also asking the men to repeat it). Ghee and herbs used in havan also generate aromatic fumes in the air. Thus, when you recite the word Swaha, you swallow these fumes inwards while reciting SWA and then you expand throat chakra (thyroid) while speaking HA which in turn expands or increases your metabolism or Pitta thereby not only pushing the words spoken deeply but also the aroma along with it. Here, Ghee provides fat to the body and mind thereby strengthening the insulation around our nervous system (which is made up of fat and proteins). This is turn strengthens the inter-neural circuits created at the time of recital of these promises. Thus, this process deeply engraves congenial/cordial/pleasant memories of the promises made at this time.

This also means that environment around Pheras should be quiet so that the couple can properly hear the mantras/promises recited by the pundit and each other. They are not supposed to be the place for making fun or for joking around. They should be clear and crisp. Secondly, while ideally we should all learn Sanskrit as it is the most scientific language (with 54 alphabets) whose words also work as mantras, however, if this is not possible then the Pundit should recite promises in the language that the couple can properly understand and repeat. Thirdly, agni should neither be too strong or too weak that it creates excess or weak Pitta and defeats the purpose of the process of Pheras (fumes of aroma should not be replaced by smoke which happens due to wrong/incomplete material used in havan and also the wrong process due to incomplete knowledge of certain Pundit). Even the place selected for this process should not be very airy or too suffocated.

This also means that one should use the right amount and type of substances which are in line with the weather. The process of taking rounds around agni ensures that the couple receives agni and fumes in all the directions (of the zodiac). Seven rounds represent seven houses of Astrology starting from the second house. That is why even the promises committed by bride and groom correspond to the number of round taken around Agni. Since the first house in Astrology represents self, the promises are spoken starting from aspects of second house where the groom promises wife to provide her fair ways of means of earning and in return wife promises the groom to provide nourishing food. Similarly, second phera is done with promises made around providing strength and courage (the aspect of third house) and so on. Those who follow four rounds represent four aspects of life i.e. Dharma, Artha, Kaam and Moksha.

*** All in all, the substance that is offered to Agni has a huge effect on the collective conscience of people around. That is why different purposes need different substances and even different shapes of havan kunds because different shapes create different shapes of fumes too thereby having different effects on the conscience around (in ether as well in the physical bodies).

Self Administration

Self administration does not mean absence of communication in between different souls and lack of hierarchy. It simply means that each person/soul administers self so well that the whole is also healthy. Just like a healthy body needs a healthy mind, a healthy world would still require healthy government (people) and governing mechanisms. A person who is high on self administration is never jealous of others and does his/her assigned jobs with total dedication and skills irrespective of how others perform. For a self administered person, hierarchy is not seen as a measure of higher or lower status. Instead it is seen only as a tool of governance so that everyone can do ones task properly while also living blissfully. Self administration is possible only by living in line with Vedic wisdom. The higher worlds work on this principle. Stronger the self administration of the soul, higher the realm it moves into.

*** Consuming food (and that too the right food) is an extremely essential part of self administration because a soul’s evolution depends upon experience in human body which in turn depends upon food. Hence higher buddhi/intellect can be attained as long as human body exists which in turn depends upon food. That is why Ganesha is shown to like food.

Varnas

This is to reiterate that the need for creation of Kshatriya in itself is an indication of the movement of time towards Kalyuga. It is ironical that a kshatriya will sooner or later lose the path of righteousness as Mars/pitta with gradually diluting righteousness in the collective conscience will gradually begin to lose the right path. This also means that while the cycle of Yugas is inevitable, it can be delayed by ensuring that all the souls stick to the righteous path of self administration and also keeps passing it down the generations with as little dilution as possible.

More about My case

I gathered Saturn in my Anahata chakra because of beta blockers coupled by the fact that I started consuming them when my Rahu Mahadasha had begun. In simple words, beta blockers facilitated movement of astringency and bitterness through foods and drinks like onion, garlic, alcohol etc. thereby further constricting my heart making me an inward personality. Since Rahu weakens Pitta, I had as such started consuming more of fruits and other astringent (non-alcoholic) drinks. However, subsequently when Pitta became too less, I restarted doing exercises to kick a dull brain and body which was not receiving enough blood due to constricted heart. When Jupiter began this space was filled up by heavy and sour foods thereby creating too much of imbalance which was a constricted heart but an expanded body which can be seen in my chart too with Saturn in heart subsequently getting filled up by Jupiter in tenth and finally overfilled when Jupiter Mahadasha arrived.

To undo this what I need is to constrict the entire body through the use of astringent and bitter herbs and spices (with warmth as per weather like fennel in summers) while filled up heart with alkaline sourness through the use of Arjuna and Amla etc. Of course, one needs to have gap between the two acts of around four hours. Here we must remember that astringent, bitter, salt (including minerals), pungent and sour tastes get immediately absorbed by our body while in our mouth itself whereas proteins, fats and complex carbs take longer as they are digested by stomach and intestines and then circulated in blood and Rasa.

Since my first has Sun sitting in Saturn zodiac, what I needed was Gaba (or related meds) in daytime itself (specifically when it begins to get hot around 1 to 2 pm) to let not Sun over excite my body

Miscellaneous

  • Brahmchari doesn’t mean celibate (the one who doesn’t engage in sexual acts for religious reasons). Instead it means one who does “Brahm Aachran” meaning one who leads life while remaining tuned to the entire Brahamand (world) in total awareness. Since sex is essential for progression of evolution of the soul and the entire Universe, a Brahmchari may get involved in it as and when needed for progression of progeny or for removing stimulated shukra dhatu from the body which otherwise will not allow the native to think straight as it blocks Sadhak Pitta from travelling properly (which is why Sun debilitates in 7th zodiac). In other words, sex can be a pious act if performed with awareness and not out of inertia (greed etc.). As such the act of sex helps the soul to move one step towards higher realm by getting rid of Venus period and progress towards Sun period (even if it is at a small scale) so that the soul can enter in the next cycle of dashas. This is why sexual act relieves one of one’s stress (even if it is temporary).

*** Question may arise that if the above statement means that orgasm is essential for evolution of the soul then what about Yogis who renunciate sex. The answer is that when one reaches a state where one stops feeling the need for sex, food and other urges, then one has already reached the pinnacle of evolution in that particular realm by winning over the senses thereby cutting chords (entanglement) with that realm and the souls bound to that realm.

  • Purdah System- The tradition of wearing a purdah/veil by women in front of men is an outcome of feeling of insecurity amongst men due to Kalyuga especially in certain parts of the world where animalistic nature is too strong thereby pushing overstimulated men to use women as tools for sexual pacification not only without their consent but also through other unethical and immoral means. In majority of the cases, Purdah system speaks nothing but of the animalistic nature of men of that society. However, Purdah is simply a way to distract the animalistic collective conscience and is not a permanent solution because it cannot undo the animalistic nature. Only Sattvic food and lifestyle can do it. The more we move towards non-violent ways of life, the higher our conscience will move thereby getting rid of animalistic nature.

Please remember that animalistic nature is not just confined to men. The act of wearing stimulating dresses by women is also due to animalistic nature. Animalistic nature robs us of our wisdom. It happens because of reduced blood from the upper chakras (brain etc.) thereby making them weak on intellect and analysis and high on impulse, overstimulation, ego and uncontrolled aggression. As a result, the women in Kalyuga, instead of thinking of ramifications, wear revealing cloths which is generated out of their impulse and ego ridden minds not realizing that they inviting problems for them only due to animalistic nature of men.

  • Every being’s ultimate aim is to learn to follow the middle path with equal focus on all the chakras and their aspects. However, this cannot be achieved in one life and hence the soul has to incarnate in many lives with focus in different chakras to finally learn the middle path. At universal level, the cosmic Leela created by the higher world helps different souls to experience lives in different chakras basis the level of evolution of the soul. This is the reason that both Devas and Asuras are said to be equally dear to Lord Shiva as they help in maintaining a balance in the body and the Universe at the larger level.
  • A country, society or an individual decline when they are unable to maintain balance between all the four Yogas i.e. Devotion (Bhakti), Knowledge (Gyan), Karma, Kriya (internal cleansing through Asana, Pranayama and inward looking) because Bhakti, Karma, Kriya become blind/directionless in absence of Gyan, Gyan inflates ego in absence of Bhakti. Knowledge is in vein unless translated on ground through Karma and Kriya and so on. Even, the four Varnas (Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya and Shudra) are intricately connected to the four Yogas and become necessary to handle the collective conscience. For example, when by the end of Satyuga, the world began to drift away from the ultimate awareness that they are souls and part of one Brahmand/Universe (one family of the Almighty) who incarnate to participate in the cosmic Leela, the collective conscience started degrading which triggered the need to have Kshatriya. At body level, Kshatriya is similar to our immune system whose task it to produce whenever the body is threatened by external or internal threats. The internal enemies can be compared with auto immune disorders. From Ayurvedic perspective, it happens due to excess Vata (hollowness) in the system when the body develops so much of haywireness (disorder) that it begins to destruct itself causing auto immune diseases and discomfort. Of course all this happens due to wrong food and lifestyle which is not in line with the constitution and weather.

In simple words, the world moved away from Satyuga because the souls got into inertia driven by greed and began forgetting the right way of living thereby resulting in gradual onset of diseases, chaos, wars (internal and external) which gradually gave rise to four Varnas. To begin with, every soul that incarnated on earth (or other planes) was self administered and had complete knowledge of all the four Varnas. However, inertia (rajas and tamas in Ayurvedic language) kept increasing diversity in the system, which till a particular point was pleasing and appealing but subsequently turned into extreme disorder resulting in Kalyuga. All in all, if we wish to go back to Satyuga then we must understand Ayurveda and other Vedic sciences (knowledge) and implement them (Karma and Kriya) with full devotion (Bhakti) to bring back order in this world.

This also means that no individual can be held responsible for the chaos in this world. We all started it and we all collectively need to end this through Sattvic food and lifestyle (which means living in line with constitution and weather with non violent means both to living and non living).

  • If one accumulates excess of wealth for self and children then such a person is bound to create a weaker next generation because it wouldn’t have to struggle which would mean weaker skills (both professional and behavioural). Excess money would push them into excess indulgence making them more Asuric away from higher world/spiritualism thereby gradually declining the skills, ethics, physical and mental health as well as the wealth and thus going back to poverty in next few generations. This primarily happens when the soul group is at a lower step of evolution due to primary focus on Laxmi with much lesser focus on Saraswati and Parvati. That is why such people after earning a lot (due to sudden means like lottery or other ways) tend to lose that money immediately. This would mean deeper/higher crests and troughs in the lives of such a family line. That is why it is so important to follow the middle path and provide amenities to the next generation (neither in excess nor less) so that the family does not see excess ups and downs. A saying goes in Hindi “Poot Kapoot toh kyun dhan sanchay, poot Sapoot toh kyun dhan sanchay” which means that if one’s child is of weak/bad character than there is no point in accumulating wealth because such a child will lose all the wealth in bad karmas however if one’s child is good then too one doesn’t need to accumulate wealth because then the child will create his/her own wealth.
  • Quite often we as parents or guardians push our children to eat the same food that we like even if the child shows disinterest. Here we must understand that if your child is not accepting/enjoying a specific food, then this is because of natural urges due to specific state of the current doshas of the child. For example, the child may not be hungry (and pushing more food would harm him/her) or the child is asking for heavier food as its Vata is high (and yours is less and therefore you are giving food to the child basis your doshas) or it could be the other way round or the child is unwell with fever and wants lighter foods/drinks. That is why it is important to understand the constitution of the child including current constitution too (i.e. vikruti) and if it is vikruti then we must work on it to pacify aggravated doshas through right foods and meds. Remember that whenever we make the mistake of pushing food as per our doshas to others then it may be counterproductive for that person and for you too in the long run.
  • Why going to mountains invokes Bhakti is for several reasons. One is that air on mountains is purer. Second is its colder and therefore strengthens inner Mars while reducing testosterone levels and the feeling of ego and physical might thereby reducing ego and associated vices. Inner Mars also represents Ketu due to internal heat which in itself is a spiritual planet as it invokes the ability to introspect.
  • The divine is present everywhere however we are unable to see the divine or Paramatma because we not evolved to that level. Else HE presents himself in front of us in so many ways. To evolve we must learn to self administer which is nothing but becoming aware of our own karmas, actions, reactions to different conditions (internal as well as external) so that we consistently work to improve our own output in terms of our behaviour.
  • The reason that a dying person is highly likely to speak the truth is because the process of death (unless sudden) gradually starts reducing Pitta and when Pitta dissolves it dissolves ego and we know that inflated ego invokes selfishness and is the reason for absence of righteousness. Astrologically it dissolves Mars and Rahu and increases Saturn and ketu thereby making one’s conscience move towards Shiva which invokes truthfulness. Ravana was one such example who imparted truth and knowledge to Rama before dying. This is also the reason that as a thumb rule death should come gradually and not suddenly, not only because this way the soul gets time to impart true knowledge to others but also because it gradually purifies the soul. However, this is a thumb rule for most of the souls because if one’s core is also highly corrupted (which is the case with very evil spirits) due a bad deep seated conscience then this rule won’t hold true.
  • In reality Tapas (austerities) involves focussed and sustained hard and smart work towards achieving a specific goal. Bigger the goal more difficult would be Tapas. Please note that Tapas (austerities) does not mean standing on one leg or in some other difficult position for years. These stories are simply metaphoric which are being blindly followed in Kalyuga without understanding their deep seated meaning. In fact such distorted versions of Tapas are considered wrong in many Vedic texts especially Shiva Purana where Shiva is known to get angry on one of his devotees who tried to please Shiva by trying to harm himself. This is because body is a temple and an instrument for doing one’s karma for achieving a specific goal and harming it deliberately is a sin. Thus doing Tapas for Brahma means truly understanding Brahamand (or part of it which has the answer to one’s query) which is possible only when one not only studies it theoretically but also lives through it (Jupiter and Venus) to gain authentic knowledge (not just bookish). The soul in such a case, basis the gravity of her desire would automatically get pushed into an according timeline. For example chronic pains (due to collective conscience) served as a blessing in disguise for me and pushed me to study and understand their root cause which further pushed me towards understanding various disciplines of Vedic sciences including Ashtang Yoga.
  • Atithi Devo Bhava (Guest is God) – This is a famous saying of Vedic culture which has emerged from the fact that in Satyuga people used to see divine in each other due to the virtue of unconditional love for everyone irrespective of cast, creed, sex or status. This is because they knew that we the souls are simply playing roles of higher or lower status in the drama of Maya and the settings of this drama are temporary and will change in the next life. Unfortunately, in Kalyuga, this important part of culture has got lost because of extreme Rajas and Tamas which has gradually made us forget that we are the souls and part of ONE, thereby giving rise to greed, intolerance, loss of ethics, false pride (due to financial/authority/degrees status) and finally the inability to see divine in each other. That is why, if we wish to go back to Satyuga, then we must see divine in everyone essentially starting from those working at your home as your helps or your drivers or housekeepers which unfortunately are considered as lowly jobs in today’s world though on the contrary they are most important as they provide us hygienic environment and thus clutter-free mind to work efficiently. Yes, there is a possibility that not everyone may reciprocate your divine approach however you must not deviate from your righteousness which is possible only by strictly following all the eight limbs of Ashtang Yoga to stay on course. I used the word “On course” because seeing divine in everyone in itself is a very high mental state especially in Kalyuga.
  • All traditions were based on logic however due to passage of time our gradually increasing Rajasic and Tamasic minds mugged them up without understanding their logic. This is the reason that they have become more of burden when not followed wisely. For example, gifting money, cloths or other articles during marriage was a way of showing one’s love/blessings and also offering assistance to the newlyweds/family, however with time in India this tradition gradually got taken for granted due to greed. This is why traditions should never be followed blindly which is possible only when we eat and live Sattvic else a rajasic/tamasic mind is bound to forget the essence of these traditions. Higher the rajas/tamas, higher would be the expectation and the competition/greed to give and receive more. A sattvic mind would gift more to the needy and not out of sheer competition or peer pressure or out of race created by time. Likewise a sattvic mind will be contented in receiving only what is needed and wouldn’t get carried away by unnecessary gifting.
  • Humans feel colder than animals because humans are high on vata. Unlike animals they give more importance to intelligence (vp) than strength (kp). Hence they are more social. In fact, Vata is the reason that has created tools for humans to survive against odds. Vata defeats survival of fittest (physically in animal kingdom).
  • Whenever we ridicule a lost soul we create more aggression in her. The right way is to calm her down explaining the bigger picture without ridiculing. Better is not to let her get lost. If need be distance self, but do not ridicule. Use the time to widen horizon and develop a more sattvic mind to explain the ramifications of wrong doings.
  • Sometimes when u r bombarded with questions that you cannot answer because either you are not prepared or they are raised only to ridicule/criticize you, then it’s better to distance yourself from such people for the larger good.
  • Adverse circumstances are necessary to know ones strength and weakness just like Pitta is pushed through the system by Ayurveda healers to know which body part is weak/vata ridden.
  • Ashtang- First house represents the most important virtue of the soul (her moral values) and aim of all the houses is to ultimately reach there through ups and downs.
