ANALYZING A BIRTH CHART (KUNDLI) FROM MEDICAL PERSPECTIVE- CASE STUDY 2- ASTROLOGY DECODED THROUGH AYURVEDA- IX

So here comes another case study to understand that how we can use Ayurveda principles to read a birth chart and help cure/treat the subject.

*** Please do go through the previous blogs (click here I, IIIII, IVVVIVII,VIII) to understand that how exactly Astrology evolved from Ayurveda  if you wish to understand this blog in totality..

Lets begin…

KUNDLI CASE TWOThe first house of the chart has Jupiter and mars sitting indicating that the person will be kapha mind (due to Jupiter) and full of energy and passion (due to Mars). Ketu in second will further increase kapha (mars type energy) towards upper body especially face and thus brain (hemming effect of the adjacent house). Fifth zodiac i.e. Leo (owned by sun) in the first house indicates that the person will have a focused approach and kapha mind will not slow him down and sun’s placement in second indicates that he will speak his mind out with passion but thoughtfulness due to ketu.

THE MEDICAL ASPECT

Now, since our primary focus is on the medical aspect, let us move straight to that. So, currently the person is going through Mahadasha as well as antardasha (main and sub period) of Saturn. This means the houses which are owned by Saturn’s zodiacs (10 and 11 zodiacs) and where saturn itself is sitting will become active during this period i.e. house no 6, 7 and 8. Now 6th house means job, 7th means partnership (including business/job related) and 8th house means occult diseases/sciences etc. Thus this period indicates that since the person has been a kapha mind and had  a bit of tendency to put on weight (during Jupiter’s period which is always prior to Saturn), in order to lose weight/stay fit, he will resort to those ways and means which increase Saturn in him (vata). Morever since Rahu is conjunct with Saturn, the person will resort to rahu type ways and means which may increase vata exponentially and more than that vata imbalance

*** There is a huge difference between high vata and vata imbalance. High vata means it is high in the entire body or a specific part of the body whereas vata imbalance means that one part of the body will have high vata and another (usually opposite) will have low vata creating a type of funnel effect which is difficult to treat.

And that is what was happening on ground. He had been consuming loads of green tea which resulted in excess vata (imbalance) in his body especially lower body which is already high on vata due to rahu in the lower body, apart from stress since green tea also reduces blood from the brain being too bitter. Rahu in 8th also indicates that the person will not have knowledge of occult sciences from previous life time and experiences from this lifetime will help him to start accumulating it. All this resulted in sudden onset of diabetes in him apart from stress etc. So what this person needed was two pronged approach..

One was to settle vata of mind for which he was suggested to take medha vati (a concoction of brahmi, ashwagandha, jatamanshi, shankhpushpi, licorice etc) in night for a few days as this medicine will calm his mind by pacifying vata.

And another was to repair his lower body vata (especially pancreas), for which he was suggested to abstain from all vasodilating foods and highly pungent spices and eat bael fruit in morning and afternoon. And within just five days his sugar levels came down from 320 to 160 without adding any medicine (allopathic or ayurvedic).

In the next blog (case study 3) we shall study another chart to analyse the diseases that the subject is prone to..

In case study 4 we shall study chart of a person who has diabetes due to very high kapha in the body.
