ASTROLOGY AND AYURVEDA-THE GIFTS BY THE HIGHER REALMS TO CARRY OUT SWOT ANALYSIS FOR A BLISSFUL LIFE- ASTRO DECODED- PART VII

That Astrology is not a pseudoscience and rather a highly developed one has already been established through my previous blogs on Ayurveda-the mother of Astrology-Astrology decoded series (I, II, III, IV, V,VI). This blog will explain you that how it can be used as wonderful tool for carrying out SWOT (strength weakness opportunity threat- a term used by the corporate world) analysis for optimizing your outputs.

Let us pick an example…. I have already explained in brief in the previous blog that rahu-ketu axis represents the flow of blood in the body where rahu means less of blood (meaning vata) and ketu means more of blood (meaning kapha). Similarly other planets of the solar system too represent different levels of vata, pitta and kapha or say VPK (which are called as doshas in Ayurveda) sitting in different parts of the body and zodiacs represent conditions which decide how that planet (or the combination of VPK) will express itself.  Now, what if a person has Rahu sitting in the upper part of the body especially first house, and is not being aspected by any kapha planet like Jupiter? Rahu in the first house would mean that the person will have high vata towards the brain and if the conditions in which that person is born in, are high pitta ones (e.g. leo zodiac), then such a person would have a brain with high Vata and Pitta. Now, due to high vata and pitta, such people are likely to be high on energy, chirpy types (sometimes hyperactive too) and initially extroverts who make lots of friends. However high VP also makes them prone to stress and anxiety and as a result such people would be prone to using those foods which give them temporary relief from their stress like alcohol, tobacco, onion, garlic, tea, coffee, chocolates since all these are bitter and vasodilating foods (those that widen blood vessels) that relieves their nervous system temporarily. The result will be that their vasodilation would further reduce blood from the upper body (including peripherals) and further increase vata and thus pulling them more towards these substances and making them an addict (To visualize how bitter foods cause addiction, please watch this video). Since excess of vata blocks pitta (as short circuit due to high vata will burn that area and would not let current or pitta move further), such people will stop receiving pitta in the brain leading to issues like Alzheimer’s, depression apart from stress and as and when they will increase their pitta to get rid of depression, pitta will rush haywire through vata ridden areas leading to short lived excitement, anxiety (also meaning bipolar syndrome) and/or issues like Parkinson’s.

So what if a person of this wiring is kept away from stress, high pitta foods and bitter/vasodilating foods right from the beginning? His/her vata wouldn’t increase towards  the upper body and therefore such people will remain intelligent (which is the virtue of vata minds) but would never fall prey to those diseases which are prone to being vata minds.

This is the reason that birth charts were made right at the time of childhood during previous times to know the wiring of brain and body and the astrology experts used to mention certain Dos and Don’ts along with their birth chart basis their strengths and weakness (from the chart) to optimize their opportunities and provide caution from threats.

**** An astrologer can be compared with a chartered accountant. Both find ways and means to maximize profit within the given limitation/framework. Both should be consulted well in time for better output. And, both should be competent (but to understand their competency one must have basic understanding of this science.

To conclude, Astrology and Ayurveda should be used as intrinsic tools for optimization of one’s potential through the real SWOT analysis (not the one used in the corporate world where constitution of the person is not taken into consideration) and that too right from the childhood. What’s the point in knowing the make up of your car and reading its instruction manual after you have already damaged it due to lack of understanding of its working?

KARMA AND ASTROLOGY

Lastly there always remains a confusion about the role of Karma in Astrology. So here is a simple explanation. While Astrology is science (or say knowledge), karma is action and action without knowledge is never in the right direction and in fact can be misleading too. It is therefore important that we understand this science and our SWOT so that all our karmas help us to move in the right direction. Yes!! Understanding of astrology can catapult the evolution of our individual as well as the collective conscience of this world. Also Karma has ability to change ones destiny, if not immediate then definitely in the long run, may be in the next lifetime. This change can be good or bad depending on how determined we are to fight against our urges most important being, abstinence from rajasic/tamasic foods as such foods trap us in the whirlpool of sins over sins due to subtle change in our behavior. And that is why Bhrigu Samhita can accurately communicate ones past and even past lives but can predict only probably future basis ones current conscience.
