Analysing the Birth chart of Shri Narendra Modi

This blog will discuss  the birth chart of Shri Narendra Modi, the current PM of India. The same has been created basis the birth details available on several sites on the internet which are 17th Sept 1950, 11 am, Mehsana. Here is his birth chart…

First house has 8th zodiac i.e.  Scorpio whose lord i.e. Mars is in the first house itself giving loads of strength to the native. Moon is also posted in the first house making it debilitated however due to the presence of the lord of the zodiac of first in first itself, it has created Neechbhang Yoga i.e. cancellation of debilitation. Moon is rasa or all the fluids in the body which carry nutrition. Being in the deepest constitution along with red Mars (red because 8th zodiac represents strength), this imparts physical and mental strength to the native.

Moon is also the mind because it rasa (the nutritional fluid) that activates different parts of our body and brain thereby carrying our conscience/focus/mind to different aspects of life. And his moon is posted with a strong Mars. It is this reason that his mind is able to focus on so many different aspects of life. The second lord Jupiter is posted in the fourth house in the 11th zodiac of Saturn and is retrograde. A retrograde planet moves back which is why it weakens the basic ability of the planet which in this case is Jupiter i.e. expansion. Being posted in Saturn’s main zodiac, Jupiter imparts philosophical abilities and inner (spiritual pursuits) to the native. However since it is near debilitation point (Jupiter becomes debilitated in 10th zodiac), it makes him determined by retaining his experiences (both positive and negative).

Being the lord of the second house, a retro Jupiter in 11th zodiac also states that he faced economical hardships in his early years especially when he was going through Saturn’s Mahadasha. However, Jupiter is posted in Dhanishta nakshatra which is owned  by mars and provides strength and  honor to the  native by expanding consciousness (Jupiter is expansion) in the philosophical zodiac of Saturn, the Aquarius. Third house lord (house of  courage) in tenth also shows that he will continue to face struggle/opposition but will win. Fourth lord i.e. Saturn in tenth house parked with Venus signifies that he will get involved in his professional pursuit early in his life (around 20s) and his  profession will not change post that. Rahu in 12th zodiac in fifth house signifies that the native  is  likely to pursue spiritual goals in 20s as 12th zodiac owned by Jupiter is the most spiritual zodiac and Rahu means desire. The lord of 5th is posted in fourth which also means that he may move back to his spiritual pursuits once his Rahu Mahadasha (MD) begins and this time with a deeper force.

Jupiter and Saturn both being in kendra with Moon posted in first, creates Gajkesari as well as Sanyasi Yoga signifying that he will rise but will remain detached and may suddenly renounce the world. Even the presence of Saturn along with Venus in tenth house signifies enjoyment of luxuries with detachment. Even Venus is vargottam in Sun’s zodiac which will ensure that the native doesn’t get over-indulged in luxuries even though he will enjoy them (Ayurvedically,  Sadhak Pitta of Sun will keep piercing through dense Venus or Ojas Dhatu thereby avoiding unethical indulgence).  5th lord in 4th is also a good Yoga (Rajyoga) which happens when lord of Trikone (1,5,9) goes in Kendra (1,4,7 or  10) or vice versa. This provides strength to the native as this way native’s deepest constitution (signified by kendra) are in sync with one’s objectives (signified by Trikone).

Lord of 6th is in the first house i.e. 8th from itself. This house became active around the age of 30 -35. This represents that he will suddenly gain some position of authority. 7th lord i.e. Venus in 10th, with Saturn signifies that he will have detachment towards any marital relationships. 8th lord mercury in 11th house signifies that he will gain from occult ways which means he will take risks.

9th lord in first represents that he will create his own fate. In D9 (which may or may not be accurate as it changes every 13 mins), he has debilitated Mars in first with Rahu and Venus in second (showing enjoyment of luxuries after the age of 40) and Sun and Me in 7th creating Budh Aditya yoga providing his position of authority. Rahu in second in D9 means that he needs to be careful with his health in later parts of life however it also means that he has interest in occult sciences like astrology and Ayurveda which is why he is promoting Vedic sciences.

Coming back to D1… Lord of tenth i.e.  Sun is in 11th which means that he will gain professional strength from his past life karmas and karmic entanglements. There is Budh Aditya (sun mercury) yoga in 11th house too which is strong because mercury is exulted here. Though Sun has totally combusted his mercury which would create impulse and diseases of high Vata Pitta,  Saturn’s proximity to Sun and Mercury has helped him calm down his mercury as Saturn works exactly opposite to Sun. That is why during his early years when Sun is strong  and Saturn is weaker, Modi was argumentative even with his teachers. Ketu’s  proximity to Sun also shows that his Pitta i.e. soul’s focus is controlled by Ketu. Being second to tenth house (of profession) Budh Aditya yoga here also provides him strong, intelligent and wise consultants.

Coming to milestones as per planetary periods. He faced economical issues in early days especially during his Saturn period as mentioned earlier. During his mercury Mahadasha of 17 years and then ketu period of 9 years, the chart clearly says that he gained good level of education especially related to mercury and Sun. Sun is authority and mercury is intellect, analysis and calculation. Hence it is possible that he studied disciplines related to politics. In the beginning of Ketu’s MD, he also got married though it was a child marriage which never consummated which is seemingly so because his Venus the lord of 7th is parked very close to Saturn  (detachment) that never let him settle with his spouse from his childhood marriage or even later during Venus’s MD. Also to note that many with debilitated Moon in kendra houses remain unmarried in life as their soul in this life comes with the aim to focus on several aspects of life. Activation of 12th in Venus MD, made him move out of his house for spiritual pursuits during Ve Ve MD AD, post which he returned back into politics.

His political rise primarily came in Sun’s MD. It continued in Moon’s and Mars MD as they are strongly posted in first house making him stronger. Please remember that Sun’s MD begins another phase of expansion of the native and it continues till Jupiter as a thumb rule. As evident during Mars Md, he has become even more passionate and energetic despite his age which is a matter of concern as strong Mars can weaken his already combusted mercury and thus nervous system. As such Mars MD has further activated his 6th house too which is the house of diseases, enemies and legal issues.
