Deciphering the birth chart of Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, ex CM of Delhi through Vedic Astrology

This blog will understand the energy signatures of Shri Arvind Kejriwal, the ex CM of Delhi, India through Astrology. Please note that the aim of this blogsite is  to understand Astrology and Astrology’s primary job is to heal people and show them the right path (materialistically as well spiritually). Its aim is to take collective conscience towards Satyuga or to retain it if the soul knowing Astrology is already there in Satyuga. All in all, Jyotish which  is the Vedic Astrology represents that light (Jyoti) which takes us towards our Ish (lord/God that we worship). Different souls worship different different Gods/energies depending upon their evolution and thus desires. Higher the soul in terms of its evolution, its desire will be more  inclined towards raising the collective consciousness of the world by taking it away from vices like greed, accumulation, lust,  anger, inflated ego and towards unconditional love. Also to note that since it is food that creates the wiring  of the brain and body, we must eat Sattvic food in line with the principle of Ayurveda. The reverse is also true that our desires shape our choices including that  of food. Hence if our desires are not Sattvic, we are bound to fall sick sooner or later and also develop vices as mentioned above. Thus food and desire have a  cause and effect relationship.

Captured below is his Vedic birth chart (D1) created through Astrosage. His birth details  have been picked up from the net and they seem to be right in line with his life’s achievements, physical constitution and timelines of his different milestones.

Lets begin with the first house. It has Taurus zodiac which imparts him his stubborn approach (it could be positive or negative). The lord of the first house  i.e. Venus is posted in fourth with Jupiter and Mercury in Leo zodiac which is owned by Sun and Sun represents authority. This shows that the native feels comfortable in luxury (Venus) related issues and his brain’s primary focus will also be on those aspects. Jupiter means expansion and its presence in Leo (Sun’s) zodiac with Venus and Mercury means that he would like luxury at a big (expansive) scale and would  do all kinds of calculations (mercury) to achieve it. Exactly this happened when after the onset of Jupiter MD, he became the CM of Delhi in 2013 end and subsequently created his expansive and luxurious mansion. Even the lord of 2nd house (mercury) that represents core values is also posted in fourth house with Venus and Jupiter representing that the aim of the native and his family too would have been to enjoy luxuries at expansive level.

Now, the lord of fourth i.e. Sun has gone to 12th house from itself i.e. in 3rd. That means he is “likely” to lose this comfort through his actions as 12th house represents loss of the house from where it is counted (though in Chalit chart, Sun is posted in the fourth house only which  is why I have mentioned the word “likely’ and partially it happened too when he had to resign from CM’s post).

*** From medical astrology viewpoint, Venus, Jupiter together in 4th represent  excess of tissues (kapha in Ayurvedic terms) which is why he has the issue of Asthma (bronchitis). It seems that  to overcome this, he had increased his dosage of Pitta i.e. Sun and Mars (hot and pungent foods) which is why he has excess Kapha as well Pitta. Here we must understand that excess Kapha should be reduced by avoiding excess consumption of heavy foods. When  you try to burn them by increasing pungency through chilies, spicy foods, exercises, then you are literally putting more pressure on your entire circulation system and further compounding your problems. Since fourth house also represents mother, it shows that his mother will also have several health issues related to excess Kapha creating toxins in the body due to stagnation as excess Kapha blocks movement.

Also posting of Mars in the 4th zodiac in 3rd house, weakens the signification of cancer zodiac  in 3rd. Ideally, a person with 2nd zodiac in lagna should have creativity and calmness in the actions (represented by cancer zodiac in third house which is owned by Moon) however, this house  has got badly affected by Mars resulting in unwarranted actions. This also shows that he has consumed lot of spicy and hot foods (Sun and Mars) with his childhood  friends, younger siblings, neighbors (third house).

In  chalit chart, Jupiter has moved to fifth house and Sun to the fourth.  Sun along with Jupiter and Venus also shows intelligence. Also the fifth house has Ketu in sixth zodiac whose lord i.e. mercury is again sitting in fourth house  with Venus and zodiac. Ketu is inner focus and its sitting with Jupiter in chalit chart. Hence it shows that the native’s inner focus  (ketu) during his 20s (as fifth house represents entry into college) will be to gain lot of knowledge (Jupiter) with the calculation (mercury) to gain luxury at a large scale. He is IIT alumni and completed his graduation in Mars Md when his 7th and 12th house became active thereby taking him away from his  native place due to 12th activation.  From natural age of planets, this is the time when Sun becomes strongest which helped him to study hard and smart.

When Rahu MD began, he got selected in IRS and became Joint commissioner of Income tax. Basically Rahu being in his 11th house i.e. house of gains, gave him fruits of his karmas including past life karmas. Rahu also denotes material desires and it has cause and effect relationship with Ketu. Jupiter MD further expands those desires.

All in all, Sun Venus and Jupiter  in fourth,  Ketu in fifth with its lord in fourth, and lord of first house fourth helped him achieve all these feats.

Jupiter MD also activated his 8th house (the occult house) along with 11th house (the house of gains). 8th house activation can cause sudden troubles as its activation  also means taking a dip into the unknown. Hence its activation always carries a risk even though it also can give sudden gains. All in all, 8th house is like a gamble and one should be very careful. Its this activation because of which he went behind the bars. This happened in Jup MD and Rahu AD. We discussed that Rahu is desires. Hence Ju Ra created excessive desires to expand thereby pushing him to take some risky steps that resulting  in his imprisonment on 21 Mar 2024.

Interestingly, on this date, Jupiter was transiting in 1st zodiac (Aries) which is the 12th house of Mr. Kejriwal. It was this transit that caused his imprisonment as the lord of 8th house went to 12th house. Like 8th house, even 12th house activation can also cause loss (of reputation or health or money etc.). Activation of both the houses resulted in his Jail. However, at this time Ketu was transiting from his fifth house and Rahu in 11th. This  is exactly so in his birth chart. That is why there is a high probability that he planned all this move including his imprisonment to gain more popularity. Remember Ketu is planning  too and its posting in fifth house (of gut) and in 6th zodiac of mercury represents inner planning. People with ketu in fifth are usually introverts and do lot of inner planning especially when supported by certain zodiacs like in this one. This is because fifth house also represents navel. Ketu’s presence here means in such people,  the electricity flowing in the nervous system starting from navel is inwards.

All in all, transit (gochar of planets) plays a huge role in boosting or slowing down the result coming from Mahadasha. This includes all outcomes whether on health front or on financial front etc.  Gochar of Ketu over natal Rahu means a stop over further expansion related to that house and of Rahu over natal Ketu means results of  inner planning related to the specific house and also of expansion related to that house. In his case too, he became the CM for his full tenure in 2015 when Rahu  was transiting over his natal ketu. Prior to that in the previous year, Rahu, Saturn and Mars were transiting from his 6th house which gave him power to gain upper hand on enemies/competitors (6th house signifies enemies/ competitors/ colleagues etc. and presence of cruel planets in this house signifies victory of the native on competitors).

Last but not the least, effective March 2026, his Saturn MD has begun and Saturn is parked in 12th house along with the lord of third house  i.e. moon. Together Saturn and Moon are creating Sanyasi (renunciation) yoga even though its not a strong one as Saturn is debilitated  in Aries zodiac. It is therefore possible that with activation of Saturn, he will begin to slow down. He would need to have special emphasis on his health. As such Saturn is the lord of 10th and 9th house which indicate his profession and father indicating slow down on both the fronts. His first phase of Sade Sati has also begun which brings the fruits of ones Karma and deep introspection for course correction.
