ARE WE LIVING IN A SIMULATED WORLD?- AN ENQUIRY FROM VEDIC PERSECTIVE

Scientists have begun to agree that we are living in a simulated world and if so, it’s obvious that it would have been created by some highly advanced beings. But this concept is not new to the Vedic sciences. Vedas always maintained that this materialistic world is not the whole truth and that it is a cosmic game (Leela) created by the creator of the universe where we as souls are playing different roles. Vedas also said that we in this world are just a miniscule of our higher selves which is what we hear from the people from the spiritual world. But what exactly could these higher selves be meaning and what exactly could be their purpose? Is it that our higher selves are sitting somewhere, may be in some other dimension which we are currently not able to comprehend? The current horizon of the human civilization can visualize to some extent such scenarios where people in order to learn more or out of their curiosity wish to send part of their conscience into a virtual world. Movie enthusiasts would be able to relate to such scenes from films like Matrix and Inception, though unlike movies this simulation that we are living in is not virtual but real (at least real in our definition). As far as dimensions are concerned, the scientists are baffled by the fact that the visible four dimensions i.e. height, width, depth and time are not enough to explain the universe and their calculations indicate that there are eleven dimensions of the universe to satisfy their equations.

The phenomenon of reincarnation which has started gaining grounds these days due to compelling evidence and media was an intrinsic part of Vedic philosophy. An individual can never achieve anything without involvement of others whether it is further building knowledge over the current level of knowledge or creating next generation. Learning and progress is possible only when there is interaction of different levels of energies with each other. And that is why the souls incarnate in a group, birth after birth to evolve themselves as well as others and may be the creator. A person who has good knowledge of Ayurveda and astrology would be able to relate that how different energies manifest themselves into different behaviors/ traits/ objectives. It’s like the creator creating souls where souls are like energies with different levels of conscience sitting in different parts of the mind and body to perform the objectives for which they decide or are sent to incarnate in the world in physical form. Crudely, the souls could also be compared to the different softwares where earth is like an operating system, different foods are means to modify the software and astrology a tool to decipher the software, how it is going to behave and what karmas are required to change its behavior and thus its progression for a better outcome.

So what could be the final motive of the creator? Was it evolution from the basic being to a highly evolved being?  Is it that the creator himself is wanting this evolution to happen without any intervention so that the creator also evolves?  Is it that the creator is finally learning to develop a soul and a world without flaws- which we call as heaven? Is it the creator only who sends enlightened souls (or say conscience) from higher dimensions to lower dimensions for navigating the evolution in the right direction? Again Vedas stated that God and his messengers incarnate from time to time to show direction to the lost souls.

Vedas had also clearly mentioned the evolutionary stages of life on earth (which many of us would have read these days on the social media) in the form of Dasavatar (ten avatars) of lord Vishnu starting in the order from Fish (water animal), Turtle (half water half land), Boar (who finally migrated to become land animal), Narshima (half human half animal in terms of its nature), Dwarf (the short human), Parshuram (the angry/yet to be civilized human), Ram (first human who created rules for establishing  an ideal society), Krishna (who developed various forms of arts), Buddha and Kalki. A careful look at these avatars would tell you that evolution mentioned by Vedas was totally in sync with the evolutionary stages postulated by our modern scientists. So going by that logic we are currently passing through the evolutionary stage of Buddha when we have developed buddhi (the intellect) to be technically sound. However, the last stage of Kalki is yet to come when our evolved being would have tamed technology to its advantage which is not the case with the current scenario when most of us are enslaved by technology.

But how could our minds learn to tame technology? Fortunately, again Vedic wisdom captured the secret to all this in form of Ayurveda and its allied sciences like yogic postures, pranayama, meditation and even astrology. In fact, Vedas were more like an Instruction manual for the human civilization to optimize its full potential for leading a harmonious life. It is therefore time to decondition ourselves and realize that the world is much more (in fact infinite) than what meets the eye. It is TIME for us to decipher the teachings of the Vedic sciences in the language we understand and embrace them in each and every part of life if we wish to flourish and make this world a heaven. It is time to realize that Science and Spiritualism are inseparable. Because it is the science of inside only that can teach us to optimize the outputs of our mind and body and make us truly spiritual. It is the postulations of Vedic sciences only that can help us reclaim THE GOLDEN AGE.
